Wondrous wizards… Mysterious sorcerers… And heavenly beings… possessed of unimaginable power. Throughout the ancient world, magic was used for everything from healing to communicating with the gods. But did magic really exist in the ancient times? Not as a form of theater–but as a means of replicating the power of the gods? Do ancient accounts of magic suggest evidence of advanced, otherworldly knowledge? A knowledge given to early humans as a means of helping them unlock their own–some might say "divine"–potential?

I would like to think that our ancestors possessed a certain amount of magical power or skills. We are told often that we have forgotten who we are.

I often wonder about such things while following my own faith and practices. I wonder that if back then we were more open to ideas and concepts, friendly and able to live together in a sort of community, and possibly more approachable as a race. I have as anyone else may have, seen the historical pictures of cultures depicting a life with strange animals and very weired creatures said to now be extinct or just myth.

I think we developed into a life form based on greed and hatred and as such forgot where we came from, who we are and what we knew.
