Saudi Arabia: Bandar/Bush Furious at America

Bandar furious at US for not backing war on Syria

By Gordon Duff and Press TV

Harsh words passed, this week, between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Prince Bandar al Sultan, known in Washington circles as “Bandar Bush” because of his close ties to the Bush family.
Prince “Bandar Bush” is a prominent Washington power broker known for wielding the Saudi petro-dollar in exchange for America’s support for the Saudi dictatorship.

The recent debacle in Syria, however, has changed that. Reliable reports show Prince Bandar overplaying his hand in berating Obama officials for not backing an attack on Syria.

Kerry presented his Saudi counterpart with an intelligence assessment that showed a likelihood that weapons currently being supplied by the Saudi government to jihadists in Syria would be used against the United States.

Bandar Bush’s recent intractable position has exposed several realities that have made many in Washington uncomfortable:

■- Saudi Arabia and Israel have, for decades, worked together closely, not just on security programs but operationally as well, as is now seen in Syria.

■- Al-Qaeda’s long friendship with Israel is now exposed, bringing questions about 9/11 into the mainstream for many “denialists.”

■- Strong talk, befriending terrorists and hundreds of billions in military hardware are not likely to impact Saudi internal instability.

■- Recent moves by the UAE to normalize relations with Iran, including their Memorandum of Understanding on mutual security issues, signed this week in Tehran, now help portray the Saudis as both extremist and “historically incorrect.”

Saudis tied to shutdown
Lobbyist spending in Washington backing the disastrous government shutdown was tied, early on, to the AIPAC lobby, the money behind the Tea Party “suicide squad” extremists. These members of Congress, drowning in “soft money” from Saudi-Israeli lobbyists, purposefully targeted the military and key economic sectors.

They were told to try to crash the American economy and seek out disaffected military leaders who would back a coup. From New Eastern Outlook, a Russian geopolitical journal:

“Our question is a simple one; what happens when we take a military command authority whose normal good order and discipline is impacted by political extremism and an “unreliable” electoral process to which you throw billions of dollars of potential bribes and payoffs into the mix?

Then take this military command, now little more than a “street gang,” and arm it to the teeth, stoke it up on race hatred and religious bigotry, tell it that it is above any rule of law and loose it on half the planet.

How then does the context change, when top nuclear officers are removed, commanders of the most devastating weapons arsenals imagined?”

Thus, in the middle of the drastic America geopolitical realignment that left Saudi Arabia reeling, it wasn’t just concerns about Saudi weapons going to terrorists, but Saudi cash going to right-wing political extremists inside the US capable of assassinations and false flag terrorism.

Past the smiling faces, the real Washington, racial and religious bigotry and violent extremism, a long history of political assassinations and mysterious deaths, rigged elections and the undercurrent of organized crime, this he fails to grasp.

Let me just say , If the Saudis want a strike I suggest they ride into the sunset and do it themselves. I as an American am damn tired of war, the devastation of injuries and mental illness that become of our best all volunteer U.S. soldiers, sailors and Airmen on this planet all defending freedom for people they don't even know but believing it's the right thing to do does indeed have a line. Myself like many other Americans wrote our congressman and senators, and yep they all sent back this canned message why should strike in Syria. Their reason was because of the saran gas used in Syria on the 1400 Syrians that were killed. As tragic as that was , my comments back to them were as follows:

"So you want to start another war due to a chemical gas that was used on 1400 Syrians of which we really don't know exactly who launched the gas? Then my follow up question to the senators were if that's the case , where were you in the past years where 60,000 Syrians have been murdered in a civil war and the over 4 million turned into refugees? " As I suspected there were no return messages after that because they don't have one and I suspect there were hundreds of thousands of American's with the same message to these public officials.

I have a suggestion ,why don't we just have a world leaders kick boxing court in a neutral country , any world leader having an issue can sign up individually with their opposing country and they can show up personally and just kick the crap out of each other and declare a victor when one of them has said uncle, I'm sure the tv rating would be extremely high and it would probably be a huge revenue generator that all the money can be donated to a specific charity prior to the match, that bypasses the good people of this earth who just want to live in peace, enjoy a family and practice whatever religion or spiritual path we want to. We are better than this as a human race , it's just that some world leaders and corporate gurus havn't ascended yet to figure it out, their still on the Olympic ego bobsled ride of power and money.

Whatcha think, they could put this on pay per view and feed the homeless!

No more American slaves in the middle east, sorry guys -- send one of the 2,000 or so royal family out to kill their own enemies instead of "mail-away soldiers" from the US/UK

p.s. i thought Bandar was allegedly dead from a bombing in syria... those generals who died trying to meet him would be interested in the dead telling tales...

p.p.s. the "insurgency" crap in syria, whatever, black ops -- destroyed one of the most famous and beautiful covered markets (Souk) in the world.

yet the Souk mentality is what drives the Saudi royals -- a souk without a soul!!

Bravo!

I always remember my Dad saying that war would come to a dead stop if all disagreements were solved by the leaders of the countries going out to a field somewhere and having a duel like they did in the old days.

exactly , the leaders of the countries should meet in a field , grab their swords and sheilds and duke it out , whom ever wins , it's settled , we can lose a couple leaders as opposed to 200 working men and women ...

Why don't they just toss a coin for it. Heads you win--- taiks you lose.

Makes as much sense as the conventional way!
