A request...

Hi all

With the coming supposed storm in the next day or two. Can I ask you that if you drive or commute to work, Please have some sort of self care bag with you, ( grab bag, survival bag etc ).

I have just put a few blankets in the back of my car and also my 36 hour grab bag.

I would recommend at least everyone have a good working flashlight , some extra batteries for it , and a good survival knife ... at least you can see whats coming and defend your love ones ...warm wet weather boots wouldn't be a bad idea also , break them in , be sure they are comfortable ...

Yeah, but does not seem to be hitting yet. I heard there could also be snow but normally blows away to nothing at all. Better safe then sorry though.

We all make sure it will not hit as hard as anticipated ;).

Your Avalon Weatherworkers are on it! We are giving this storm attention and join with chocolate and others here who have set an intention that this storm will not be what they are saying it will be. We wish the trees, people, and all lifeforms safe; and that there not be floods from the rain.

Still, being prepared is never a bad thing!

How loving of you to remind us--even those not in the UK--to be prepared!

I've read that one lit candle in a car can keep the occupant(s) warm enough to not freeze. Don't know if this is true, but worth a thought.
