Another great soul has returned back to Source and it was wonderful to have the spice of this man's music to inspire a generation of thought.

will share this here ...

Lou Reed, Rock ’n’ Roll Pioneer, Dies at 71 (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/28/arts/music/lou-reed-dies-at-71.html?_r=0)

Rock and Roll Heart -- Lou Reed Documentary

"Rock and Roll Heart traces Lou Reed's career from the formation of the Velvet Underground to rock icon to his more recent artistic endeavors. Includes lots of rare and vintage footage along with interviews with David Bowie, John Cale, Patti Smith, Thurston Moore, David Byrne, Jim Carroll, Maureen Tucker, Suzanne Vega, Dave Stewart and Philip Glass. An excellent documentary (and the only one) about this hugely influential and uncompromising American artist. Directed by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders for American Masters and screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 1998."

I'm so glad that Lou decided to visit with us here on Earth. He brought a lot with him. One of my favorites is Perfect Day

"When I leave this joint at some further point, the same cold black sea will be waiting...."

Odd synchronicity. In two separate cars making a long drive to our home, my wife and I set out. Strangely, I put in the album "Berlin", one I haven't listened to in a couple of years. I got a text from a friend saying the Lou Reed had died. I called my wife, and she said, Oh My God, I'm listening to the Velvet Underground, the album with the banana on the cover. I said, me too. So it goes.....

It's all connected, in some very strange way, as you well know Ulli. Glad to be a part of this wild ride. I downloaded a live Lou Reed soundboard today, posted in memoriam, 12/1/76 at the Roxy Theater in LA. Great sound and damn what a band! A great show, got home, and blasted it as loud as possible out of the shed for all the neighborhood to hear, much to the chagrin of some. It was fun.
