In one word, weird.

In February of 2012 the first Global Future 2045 Congress was held in Moscow. There, over 50 world leading scientists from multiple disciplines met to develop a strategy for the future development of humankind. One of the main goals of the Congress was to construct a global network of scientists to further research on the development of cybernetic technology, with the ultimate goal of transferring a human's individual consciousness to an artificial carrier.

2012-2013. The global economic and social crises are exacerbated. The debates on the global paradigm of future development intensifies.

New transhumanist movements and parties emerge. Russia 2045 transforms into World 2045.

Simultaneously, the 2045.com international social network for open innovation is expanding. Here anyone interested may propose a project, take part in working on it, or fund it, or both. In the network, there are scientists, scholars, researchers, financiers and managers.

2013-2014. New centers working on cybernetic technologies for the development of radical life extension rise. The 'race for immortality' starts.

2015-2020. The Avatar is created -- A robotic human copy controlled by thought via 'brain-computer' interface. It becomes as popular as a car.

2020. In Russia and in the world appear -- in testing mode -- several breakthrough projects:
Android robots replace people in manufacturing tasks; android robot servants for every home; thought-controlled Avatars to provide telepresence in any place of the world and abolish the need business trips; flying cars; thought driven mobile communications built into the body or sprayed onto the skin.

2020-2025. An autonomous system providing life support for the brain and allowing it interaction with the environment is created. The brain is transplanted into an Avatar B. With Avatar B man receives new, expanded life.

2025. The new generation of Avatars provides complete transmission of sensations from all five sensory robot organs to the operator.

2030-2035. ReBrain -- The colossal project of brain reverse engineering is implemented. World science comes very close to understanding the principles of consciousness.

2035. The first successful attempt to transfer one's personality to an alternative carrier. The epoch of cybernetic immortality begins.

2040-2050. Bodies made of nanorobots that can take any shape arise alongside hologram bodies.

2045-2050. Drastic changes in social structure, and in scientific and technological development. All the
for space expansion are established.
For the man of the future, war and violence are unacceptable. The main priority of his development is spiritual self-improvement.

A new era dawns: The era of neohumanity.

Well.... the Atlantis projects are being pick up nowadays.

It looks like an actualized rerun of projects of that past Era.

I hope we don't make the same mistakes... Many of us already know how that ended in the past...

Sounds like Hell to me, they aren't that smart else they would know we are already immortal.

Dmitry Itskov has a lot of $$ to burn, and is wanting others with lots of $$ to burn to jump on this too. These folks still have no clue even what is consciousness yet alone coming up with a way to read it, then store it, then put it in some synthetic matrix and expect it to come alive. AI is not the person, the "I".. No clue even how the nervous system works or processes data to create even the slightest form of "sensory exteriorization". I would believe more so, this is like the DARPA program to map the brain, the Russian equivalent of the program to make a new weapons system that can selectively target exact parts of the nervous system more so than is done now.

TRANSHUMANISM is the complete opposite of exciting. You WILL be assimilated.

CAVEAT:

Everything that transhumanism as well science-as-technolgy can achieve is capable of being achieved without it.

The major hurdle which traps people is that transhumanism/tech is the quick and EASY path, but there is no personal quality or personal mastery therein.

While the "other-way" requires personal response-ability, integrity, sovereignty, freedom and comprehension. Be mindful against weak willed, impatient and co-dependent tendencies and addictions. You ARE beyond their "control" IF you choose such.

You may ask. What evidence is there of this?

All that is available to the uninitiated externally are the so-called myths and stories of Immortal Masters, Siddhars, etc. Internally is comprehension which compels manifestation and dimensional/density mastery.

Bottom line: Transhumaism/Tech is and will ALWAYS be beyond YOUR control, ability to monitor and assimilate. Thus there will always a be a dis-connect between YOU and it. This simply means YOU will never comprehend but ONLY be controlled and manipulated by it.

How does moving away from the natural body to a synthetic one premote spirituality or help turn us away from war?

Having a synthetic body or avatar would make people reckless, more easily inclined to make rash decisions as the repercussions wont be felt by their actual body. Less empathy for killing or hurting others as they will also see it in the way that "they are not hurting an actual person, but instead a robot being remote controlled by a human"

Tho i love robots and mecha, if given the oportunity to become immortal by transferring my conciousness, or having my body modified - i'd never do it. I am me. This is my vessel. It is perfect for me, even with it's suposid faults and imperfections (my eczema for example)

to me, to advance spirituality we need to step away from trying to modify and controll our environment and ourselves and be happy with, and seek to understand more of what is allready here.

TigaHawk - I love your questions. :)

What if one's own human body and brain can be kept at 29 years of age physically (disease immune boosted, intelligence capable, learning able), without any "robotics or artificials" - would that be a good goal?

I agree. We already are immortal. With countless ways on how to live our lives. Choosing another container for securing an extra long stay on this planet seems more like volunteering for imprisonment.
