Remember to watch Bill Maher on HBO tonight 11/8/2013 as my favorite NSA whistleblower William Binney will be a guest.
Here's a neat video by Laura Poitras to help remind you who William Binney is.

HBO is TV, right?...
I don't have tv in my life at all, but I'd like to keep up to date with anything this guy has that's not just a recycling hypno thing. He sounds like he knows at least some of it.
Anything of fresh data value that anyone can drop into this thread will be very much apreciated by, at least, myself.

The slippery slope down the road to tyranny , begins here ... politicians and alphabet agencies breaking the constitution to spy on U.S. citizens, unlawful searchs of ALL of our data , it is the height of terrorism , socialism , communism , put any name you want on it , our fourth amendment is written to prevent exactly what they are doing , those involved should be in jail , hung , or shot by firing squad military style ... I feel strongly about this , once they walk right over the constitution, freedom is gone , without free speech and the right to keep and bare arms ,we can't have any of the other amendments ...time for some soul searching about what kind of future we want our children to have ... I care not about the NSA branding me a trouble maker and such , THEY are the traitors to the constitution no matter how they spin it ... have they no shame ??? how can they call themselves americans ???

"Where Law ends, Tyranny Begins"
Watched Mr. Binney on Bill Maher and he represented himself well given the context of the show. Sadly, he wasn't given much time to really explain how the Fourth Amendment is no longer being upheld here in the United States. Without the Fourth then the First (freedom of speech and assembly) really isn't possible and that's where we're at now. Bill Maher seems to understand that but like so many in our country he doesn't have a clue how to right this ship.

This is my first YouTube upload and probably the beginnings of my activism. I need a little more knowledge and work in the area of audio/video editing, but like anything with a little practice, they'll get better.

I thought he was a good whistle blower with insider knowledge, and telling it all. He came across truthful to me.

In a couple other videos I have watched since then, William Binney stated that he was the guy who created the code which is being used to gather all of this intel for the NSA today.

Or let him be on national tv for that matter, they want him to be heard or they don't give a rats @ss about what he says anymore, so I think his news is old news and they have advanced their technology to something completely different so they can deny everything he says, they have moved on to something else and something better, no place to run and no place to hide, encrypting private personal computers might just be the stupidest thing someone could do because it attracts immediate attention by the wrong people and by the wrong people I don't just mean the wrong people:rolleyes:

Wow!! Kinda reminds me of the TV show Person Of Interest where a computer system is built to spy on everyone. Who knew it was actually real??!!

The interview I watched of him, he said that he was raided by the FBI as he came out of his shower. Binney basically said that he told the FBI agents information that were not cleared to hear about Bush trying to subvert the Constitution.

Bill Binney -- and also Russell Tice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russ_Tice) -- know far more than Ed Snowden, were more senior, and blew the whistle much earlier. They've both been studiously ignored by the mainstream media.

Precisely why, despite the 'good' done by Snowden, one ought be highly skeptical about the mainstream adoption of his story.

William Binney is very smart and has made himself something of a celebrity so that if anything happens to him everyone will know. My wife discussed William Binney who we've come to know pretty well (see picture of me with him) with author James Bamford who called Mr. Binney one of the bravest people he's ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Because NSA whistle blowers may be fed and protected by other shadow groups. I think there is a war going between
those groups. They all want to be the top dog. So ... which one spies the best on the other one?

I can assure you that the only group Mr. Binney represents is the faction in our country who realizes that it's vitally important we restore the protections afforded to all citizens by the U.S. Bill of Rights.

I have posted some of his RT interviews before, but I think
he deserves his own thread along with other 'whistleblowers'

He told you so: Bill Binney talks NSA leaks
RMwQSybOp9M
Published on 11 Jun 2013
In the wake of multiple leaks regarding the data mining programs
PRISM and Boundless Informant, whistleblowers are coming out in
droves to talk about the unprecedented government surveillance on
the American public. RT Correspondent Meghan Lopez had a chance
to sit down with NSA whistleblower William Binney to talk about the
latest developments coming out of the NSA case. Binney is a 32 year
veteran of the NSA, where he helped design a top secret program he
says helps collect data on foreign enemies. He is regarded as one of
the best mathematicians and code breakers in NSA history. He became
an NSA whistleblower in 2002 when he realized the program he helped
create to spy no foreign enemies was being used on Americans.

NSA whistleblower exposes Obama's secrets
jBSV9BQXw6I
Published on 6 Nov 2012
Rampant warrantless wiretapping and the acceleration towards a full-fledged
surveillance state are just a few trademarks of the administration of President
Barack Obama—don't expect to hear about it on the news, though.
William Binney blew the whistle on the National Security Agency's spying of
Americans, and says it's a real danger to the constitutional form of our
government. Even before 2008, citizens were in danger of losing their
civil liberties. Today, however, he says the US is "heading towards a fascist,
totalitarian state." Unfortunately, the Obama administration doesn't want the
truth to reach the media and are trying to cut down on leaks, whether out o
f the White House or NSA. RT's Sam Sacks and Meghan Lopez talk to Mr. Binney
about Pres. Obama's war on whistleblowers, the future of Wikileaks and the
government's attempts to censor America.

Very good speech. It's too bad this wasn't given more exposure, I wonder why. This talk occurred 3 months before Snowdens revaluations.
Apparently there is a lot of infighting going in between the CIA & NSA for power and funding from Congress. There is speculation that Snowden was/is a CIA asset, and it was his job to make the NSA look bad.

Yes it was a great speech, but the audience was tame, when he said he stood behind
Bradley Manning, there was silence. They were either naïve , ignorant or compliant
on Government surveillance and spying policy.

You don't have to represent a certain group to get their protection. ;) As long as your actions support their agenda they will help you.

Why do you think I reached out to Mr. Binney in the first place. ;)
My wife and I have been overtly harassed since I reached out to my U.S. Senator Kay Hagan to make her aware of wrongdoing by the Intelligence Agencies back in late 2011. Mr. Binney has been advising me on how to keep my life together in these very troubling times. If you haven't already, watch our documentary video embedded in this thread here at PA.

He's an old school operative and I don't think he quite acurately enough represented the state of things. He said their problem was that there is TOO MUCH DATA. That's misleading, either by intention or more likely just an old way of seeing it. In the past there probably was too much data for any of the systems they set up to gather intel from it.
In the current state of things, it's dangerous to think they can't cope with the volume of data. They most certainly CAN.
Just think, hard here for a moment. How big is the whole of the internet ? ..... massive, right. How good are the google spiders at keeping up with the expansion. Very good, if you post something on Avalon, google has already got it within 10 minutes and you can google it and pull it straight up on your screen.
That doesn't really surprise anyone. Well, that's the power of google, yea?
Google, as we know it, doesn't pull up results from personal emails or business internals, or many other types of data. Why not?... it's not allowed to and not given access to it.
Now think of a google type system run my the NSA that DOES have access to the other stuff, which they DO!
Got it yet?
So, there's no such thing as 'too much data'. Anyone who goes on TV and tells you that, is not being accurate ( at best ) and may be a dis informer.
In Binney's case, I think he is a bit old and behind the curve and they find his old style 'expertise' going public quite useful to them.
