Alternative media attacks - Could Avalon be next?

With the attempted set up of Luke Luke Rudkowski with child porn and then the hacking of his laptop plus the attack against the Oathkeepers group, somebody has really got it in for the alternative media.

And now this too!

Combine this with the loss of net neutrality (probably in the next 6 months - http://www.wired.com/opinion/2013/11/so-the-internets-about-to-lose-its-net-neutrality/ ) then things don't look good. The alternative media could be wiped out in some kind of coordinated attack of these things.

I wonder if Avalon is on their list?

Well, I don't believe something drastic will happen.

The Alternative Media, at least most of it, is controlled opposition. They need it.

The way I see, most part of the Alternative Media is already corrupted, whether they are aware of it or not...There's just too much disinformation in this medium already, and the PTB love it...You know, a lot of people with real potential to find the truth end up lost in this nonsense maze.

Those people inside the alternative media who are really into something should be careful, though. Specially those conducting serious political investigations, like Luke.

PA is a forum; We mostly don't produce content, just debate about content that was produced somewhere else mostly. So, I'd say we're not on top of their threat list.

We're simply not achieving any significant level of investigative progress to become a threat.

Ill just add this as I've done in the past:

Make sure you have all net related important media/vids/files etc saved for your personal libraries and for personally sharing in the future if needed!
and not just as Flash-Stick or hard drive versions but DVD's as well that way you're more protected from EMP's !

I agree with Raf. up to a point. All of us gathered here we have generated a lot of valuable body of information expressing opinions and points of view based on something that has been generated outside to leave it to chance that PA will stay on the periphery of a possible attack.
There is a lot of brainpower working for the darker side.

I wouldn’t say that Avalon is *not a target.* Far from it.

We have been subjected to sustained and inventive attacks.

The operative word here is “inventive”. The attacks aren’t what you might expect. Trolling is easy, comparatively speaking; the list of other roadblocks is long and growing.

Another level, f’rinstance, is “reader frustration”: cause the site to load so-o-o-o-o-o slowly, blink out, go offline for the reader. Or no actual Google results for Avalon.net –or stupid results (pssst: wanna buy Avalon ladies…?) – or faux sites rated “higher”. Redirect them to someplace else… cause the dimmo button to activate. Oooops…so sorry, internet you know…heh heh heh.

This is called “internet scrubbing”: bury the authentic results under forty page of BS. “No, we didn’t remove it; it was there [grin] , you didn’t look in the right place…heh, heh, heh…”

Or: Send in a clown. One “Charles Legedemain”. Seduce and fool, watch the wrist…. Ta dah! Then: divide and conquer. Create fierce supporters and opponents . Is he an angel? A charlatan? A savior? A Trojan horse? Never mind – a line will form here of those who will defend and those who will laugh. Many will leave. Some will stay, wounded and irritable. Mission accomplished. The dark masters retreat into their shadows and gloat, planning their next foray.

This tactic has been used again and again against Avalon. And each time, our survival as a group has depended on our individual sanity, our personal emotional maturity and our collective intelligence, our group sense of what Avalon is and what role each of us - at our best - can play here.

I think of it as “playing tennis with the devil.” Each time, in darkness, we wait silently as the ball of our planet comes across the net. Our only job is to return the volley, keep the ball from falling onto the ground. Stretching mightily, we whack it back toward the unknown universe…. And wait, again, for the next volley returned.

So many tactics. But we’ll play, yeah. Bring it on.

I hope people recognize this point: The Alternative media is largely controlled opposition. It serves a useful purpose.

It leaks out the correct information, spins and smears where it needs to. It whips people into a frenzy. It entertains, and misdirects.

It gathers an audience of people who don't care for msm and feeds it an 'alternative' message.

Whether that news is an 'alternative' to msm lies, or just an alternative version of msm lies, can be debated.

It's lost a great deal of my trust, though, I can say that for sure.

It all has to be meticulously vetted and investigated and critiqued. All of it.

The punch bowl is now full of veritable floaters.

And yet, there is some quality to be found. It's just very hard to get at it.

Impending attack or no, we at Avalon need to get a lot better at filtering out BS, and looking at the information we receive with a critical eye.

Otherwise, it'll just be another day at the circus.

Most clubs, organizations, etc ....that I have ever belonged to tended to implode due to infighting.
It was never so much an outside threat that really was the cause of most demise, but rather runaway rampant paranoia often causing witch hunts. :director:

One thing about hysteria, and witch hunts, a lot of innocent people get burned.
Often it can simply start by someone lying, and others believing it without really doing their own independent research.

I miss a great deal of those old members. They shared good views, and often brought in some good practical wisdom.
In many ways, I see Avalon as a kind of school classroom, and eventually some people graduate and move onto higher states of thinking.
While the old news again is recycled on a new generation of naive or in the early states of awakening.:ranger:

Last month radio host Pete Santilli was exposed as an FBI informant / disinfo artist and now Edgar Fouche of the Alien Scientist forums has exposed HIMSELF as an NSA agent! This is all very odd that this is all happening over a period of a few months.

I agree with all of you, it's a duck.. We are a duck.. So we can either ignor the sights and sounds of the hunters moving into the reeds and carry on with our lives, or we can quack about it here to our pals, or we could simply fly away... I wonder though, if all the ducks on any given lake were to band together and attack the hunters, what the outcome would be???

They historically have never done so, but it is my belief, being a hunter of ducks, that few hunters would stay long after the ammo ran dry, especially if the ducks came in wave after wave without any personal fear....

So they want to watch us, let them waist their lives watching ours.. Mine's pretty dull to watch, carrying water and chopping wood.. I forgive their voyeuristic nature... I hope Avalon's not next, it's our job to continue to keep it pure and positive, love is harder to counter...xxx... N
