I know many of you think this is all a rabbit hole - and god is boring to you but for some of us - thats not too true - I see turkey being a pivot point for so much to come as israel gets squeezed more and more.

Canada Free Press: “The Egyptian Foreign Office denounced the speech of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, because he openly made the ‘Rabaa’ gesture, a gesture used by the Muslim Brotherhood. It’s a symbol used in protests after the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi. (Rabaa in Arabic means Forth) Erdogan appeared several times gesturing, he said it’s a symbol of oppression and injustice suffered by certain groups of the Egyptians.

The World Tribune revealed information about Islamic militants and jihadists in Sinai receiving weapons and supplies from Turkey, which arrived in ships from Turkey and distributed to ports along the Egyptian Mediterranean coastline.

Erdogan’s strong support of the Brotherhood originates from two essential reasons: Erdogan and his party belong to the Muslim Brotherhood international organization, and Erdogan is afraid of the Egyptian scenario repeating itself in Turkey as Turkish history comes replete with military coups.”

Opinion: We know from Ezekiel 38:1-6 that Gomer, from the House of Beth Togarmah, has a major role in the war of Gog and Magog, and is the ancient name for modern-day Turkey. But does Turkey have an even bigger role in God’s plan?

Daniel 9:26 tells us that the final anti-Christ will come from the empire that destroyed the Jewish Temple in 70 AD. Remember that Daniel’s fourth empire, Rome, is depicted by the two legs of the statue (Daniel 2:31-43): Rome and Constantinople (Turkey).

What we don’t know is precisely from which nation or from which leg the anti-Christ will emerge.

The prophets, Isaiah and Malachi, placed great emphasis on conflicts between the Messiah and the Assyrian, in what appears to be dual prophecies.

First prophecy, 750 BC: Isaiah 14:25: “… I will break the Assyrian in My land, And on My mountains tread him underfoot. Then his yoke shall be removed from them, And his burden removed from their shoulders.”

Prophecy fulfilled: In 701 BC, Sennacherib, the King of Assyria, was defeated on Mt. Scopus outside of Jerusalem by a supernatural intervention of God.

(Note: Daniel 11:6 says that in the final days, anti-Christ moves his headquarters into Israel as his armies turn to fight against Christ on His return)

Second prophecy, 420 BC : Micah 5:5 ”When the Assyrian comes into our land, And when he treads in our palaces, Then we will raise against him Seven shepherds and eight princely men.”

Prophecy for future fulfillment?

Daniel 7:24 calls for the world to be divided into 10 regions/kings that will arise out of the revived Roman Empire in the last days before the return of Christ. It is interesting to note that Turkey was turned down for membership in the EU again in 2012.

Could it be a Turkish leader, an Assyrian, who arises after them and subdues three kings?

Daniel 7:25: “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High …”
