Here is a link to a site where a movie clip can be seen that describes a documentary project undertaken by Sundance award winning director Erik Paulsson called 'The Mystics', which is a 13-part series on the history of mysticism.

If you follow the link you can see the clip and read about the project. The director is asking for support through donations or other ways

Anyone who searches for God within themselves, where God is, is a mystic.

I hope that guy included that minor fact in his doco.

Thanks for sharing, looks interesting.

There's mystics and mystics, and some are more useful and inspiring to hear about than others, inevitably. Your average mystic is of less interest than a devotional, dedicated and transcendant mystic that has made it as far as a human can get to.

For me, I'm glad to hear about anyone in relation to God, but for viewing time, I'd go for those who dont just search, but those who find.

God bless us all, may we all find God.

This is going to be really cool, if it gets made, and in the correct way.
It will prove a point I was trying to verbalize some time ago ...

One of the best books that I've read on the subject is History of Mysticism: Unchanging Testament. It's incredibly thorough and freely available online right over here (http://www.holybooks.com/wp-content/uploads/History-of-Mysticism.pdf).

I love you S-L. Thank you.
I am in my mystical-magic mode this last few ... months, if not my whole life...

What is the point you were trying to verbalise?

I was trying to say in a separate conversation before this thread appeared that we need to see more films about the "awe inspiring mystery" of this life. :)

Wonderful... I remember not being able to put it down. It is very inspirational to read about what these mystics achieved. I have chosen the Steps to Knowledge (http://www.newmessage.org/steps) path to reconnect with my source of inner truth. Do you actively follow a spiritual practice in hopes of reaching their level of understanding?
