This a recording of crickets. One track is at normal speed, the other track is slowed down. Both tracks are played at the same time. The slow track sounds like angels singing. Unbelievably beautiful!

This deserves its own thread because the sounds of the natural world are irreplacable gifts to us. Thanks so much.

My sense is that we can use tracks of natural sounds in healing ways that the synthesized and artificially sourced sounds cannot duplicate. I also think that slowing and speeding sound can change the way we are connected as in the cricket choir. We just cannot improve on Gaia's sound scape.
