No fear, friends. This is known for sometime.
Not only they are teraforming the planet, but are also creating complete robots quite human-like. I started one thread with exactly the idea to bring forward information that gets to me, after that I saw quite a few threads existing already. What you discuss here is just the tip of the iceberg. But I am sure the future is not so grim- after all we will make sure it is as human and natural as possible. Isn't that one of the reasons we have gathered on PA?

Agreed, listening to a one hour McKenna speech is not a sinecure, but in fact this presentation is really good. You should give it a try and watch the entire video. 2 glasses of red wine will help though. Below a quote from the video.

Machine Learning and AI is affronting us in an elementary independence and it will soon impact the daily life of billions of people. To repeat one of business leaders in this domain: "I spend most of my time assuming the world is not ready for the technology revolution that will be happening to them soon."
