I'm not sure if this has been seen on Avalon before, but it touched me as to the intensity of love between animals and humans.
It is a worthwhile watch to see and experience vicariously how this man must have felt.
enjoy
In the African jungle, conservationist Damian Aspinall searched for Kwibi, a lowland gorilla he hasn't seen for 5 years.
Kwibi grew up with Damian at his Wild Animal Park in England. When he was five, the gorilla was released into the forests of Gabon, West Africa as part of conservation program to re-introduce animals back into the wild.
Now Kwibi is 10 years old, much bigger and fiercer. Might the animal attack Damian when they do come face to face?

Animals understand , trust , connection , and friendship better than most humans ... Two beings co-exsisting perfectly , if only mankind could do the same ... thanks for that vid , I needed that ...

So sad! That is a very lonely gorilla, who thought that at last someone had come to take him home! For 5 years Damian was his friend and brother, part of his family, and now he lives a life that to us seems more natural but to THAT gorilla must be really bewildering. I personally, would not like to be settled into the habitat of an Amazonian tribe on the grounds that it is how humans originally existed. I too would hoot all night to be returned to home and comfort if a former friend turned up 5 years later!
The video is very touching and the love is there-- but in some way there is betrayal too. Animals that we 'rescue' must be allowed to be animals if we wish to return them to a wild state. Not even the multitude of wives seem to cure that lovely gorilla's broken heart.

Does anyone know if the gorilla was taken "home" or was he abandoned again?
Peace Love Joy & Harmony,
Genevieve
