I've just uploaded a few of the many daylight photos I have taken of UFOs in southern California into a photo album (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/album.php?albumid=802). Many of them seem to be associated with standing stones that are concentrated in a relatively small area, and which to me, don't seem to be natural formations. I'll be uploading some of my photos of the standing stones to a separate album. I'll be curious what folks outside academia think of this mystery. I have many more UFO photos to upload as well. See what you think....

A modern day "Vimana"?
Interesting similarities...

By far the weirdest one I've seen personally. Got a good look at it, too, and I have no idea what that was. I always thought it had a sort of "Buck Rogers" look.

Is this out in the desert? You have a lot of really nice shots.

That one is not in the desert, but right in town. There is a 50-foot-tall standing stone called Mesa Rock that's been a landmark for generations. Because of its location at the crest of a hill where it can be seen for miles, and also other standing stones in the area, I'm convinced it's not a natural formation. The area also happens to be a hotbed for UFO sightings. And quite a few people believe there's a portal or vortex of some kind in the area, as well. I think it's all connected somehow.

I don't doubt it. Have you looked at Mesa Rock in Google Earth? I'm not very familiar with the area, but it looks intriguing anyway. That certainly is a beautiful part of the state...

Mesa Rock reminds me of a bear. And I see what you mean about the human shapes / faces. Thank you.

Have you had a look at the site called Orbital Vision by Cristian Soldano? Even if you don't understand the Spanish (maybe the translator works?)the photos he has are incredible & some very similar to yours.

Yes. it has a very organic appearance. This entire area has some of the most fantastic rock shapes I've ever seen. The granite boulders have soft and hard areas so that the wind and rain wear them into amazing shapes. The one I call the Old Man (the one I'm using as an avatar) is one that has not been artificially shaped as far as I can see, but I'm positive it was deliberately set up where it stands today. And around the base of Mesa Rock you can see the boulders and stones that were wedged into place to keep it upright.

An interesting site! Unfortunately the translator doesn't work there for me, and my Spanish is not too bueno. But it looks like he's discovered some interesting stuff. Some of his photos look like plastic bags blowing in the wind, but I wasn't there so who knows? Those who look at the sky and keep an camera close by will nearly always find some really interesting stuff up there.
