Dear Avalon family,

First, many thanks for all the great information you gave me regarding cancer and precisely thyroid cancer.

What I have seems not to have spread, seeing the surgeon this Friday.

But the target of this thread is to discuss the benefits of juicing and other food enhancements to combat cancer and other very detrimental sicknesses, and also to compare alternative cures when done with regularly grown ingrédients versus organically grown.

Here is my main problem: I saw that juicing would benefit me greatly and is one of the main cure for an array of problems. So I decided on juicing combined with other methods.

But, I live in Canada.

1. In winter, most vegetables and fruits come from USA and are not fresh and go through many processes. Add to that the lack of freshness. So, of course, citrus for example are picked not ripe yet and are sparyed with gaz during transportation to allow them to get ripe at the rigth time, in order to arrive in Canada fresh looking. This is the just in time manufacturing principle applied to food. Add to that some that are irradiated, and there is not label for it, and there you are.

2. Regular vegetables in winter are very expensive. Due to transportation cost mainly. Naturally adapted vegetable to the North are far in between (cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onions, squash, rutabaga and the alike.)

3. Organic vegetable and excessively expensive and often lack freshness as well. You easily triple your food bill here with organic.

4. Regular vegetable have grown in pesticide filled environment which is not supposed to be the case of organic and therefore maybe more toxic and have less nutrients.

5. Regular vegetables may sometimes be GMO and it is not labelled as such in Canada. Although I have a good idea of which one to avoid, as of lately, I did not know that potatoes were now GMO, so my knowledge is far from full proof.

6. I have a very limited budget, being unemployed lately.

Therefore my questions to Avalon members pool of great knowledge are:

A. Can we get rid of pesticides in vegetables and fruits when they are regularly grown in pesticide filled environments and if so, what are the best methods for those with peels, those with thin peel, and the leafy ones.

B. What is the comparison in pesticides of organic vs non organic food, once the non organic have been treated to get rid of it?

C. What is the impact on the health of juicing with non organic vegetables and fruits?

D. What is the difference in nutrients contents between organic and non organic?

E. What are the problems related to juicing GMO vegetables and fruits, if one does it by accident.

F. How or what would you propose for juicing for diabetic patients (most juices get my blood sugar way high, and then I have to take metformin pill, which seems to be an contra thing to do. HOwever, of course, vegetable would be more recommended. The second problem is that, because of the metformin medication which often directs me straight to the bathroom, it is getting much worse when drinking vegetable juices.

----------------

I am very much aware of the necessity to maintain a good gut flora. This will be taken in consideration as well, I thank everyone that gave information on the topic, because I will use it such as fermented stuff.

However, I decided to kill first, and take care of reclaiming my body second, or concurrently.

So, I will try the turpentine drops on sugar. However, there again, I have a problem with the delivery system, since it will raise my blood sugar. The other thing is with type 2 diabètes, the sugar remains in the blood Stream and does not get in the muscle and the tissues. THis is why we must take a medication, to force it to get into the tissues. So once again, I confront the contraindications . Any ideas of what I could do for the delivery system. Cancer cells as well as the brain love sugar, is there an alternative that could help?

After the Turpentine stuff for a few months, I will change to implement a suggestion that Nat-Lee gave me with mushrooms and probiotics and system cleaner. All along with gut enhancing technics like fermenting.

If this does not work, I will go on the salva or other thick oils. Also on the other alternatives to kill parasites. I have lived everywhere, I must be filled with them.

I am starting to sweat today (exercice). I already subscribed to a gym and will increase the fast walks.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks a lot for helping.

Oh I forgot, I am ordering a water filter, a heavy duty one for drinking water, and will put one on my shower.

I already have a old very heavy duty juicer (hard to clean but hey... it will do) and will buy one for refined juices.

Thanks you all again

Post scriptum: I looking for work, I won't apply to CSIS (our CIA) because when looking at my security level, they would come on this thread and for sure I would not be hired. LOL

Hello Flash,

Six months ago I notice that old age is at hand, depleting chest, bulging tummy, difficulty in moving around and the likes. I decided to try and turn back age. That's when I came to Avalon via Breatharian thread, by Dawn. Now when I look at the mirror I can hardly believe that I am looking at the image of a 48 year old man. When I started on this endeavor I play basketball alone because I cannot afford a competition now I can hold on against someone not even half my age.

here is what I do. when I am hungry I imagine what is it that my body wants to eat or go to the kitchen and look at each of the food available and let my body decide. I also go to the market place and just run my eyes to all of the fruits and let my instinct decide. When I read that juicing is good I tried but my body says no. When I read the 5 Tibetan rites I tried and found beneficial. Although I do not do it as per instruction. In fact every session is different from he rest. I do it with my eyes close all the while feeling what's the next move should be. no counting just feeling my way thru.

I can see that you learn a lot from somewhere you have a well thought plan but my advice is to let your instinct decide the course.

Here is a funny story I have encountered and I must admit the fool in me was taken initially.

"parasites in our body can tell us what to eat". Bloody damn critters I think they have a focus group in there with intent so powerful that they are able to make their host do their bidding. What this actually is saying is "do not listen to your body". You knew who wants that.

My advice:

*Sweat a lot and sweat everyday

*If you are eating rice then look for alternatives, I ate bananas. I believe that all rice and corns are GMO's our original stocks had been replace by GMO's long ago during the first wave. What is happening now is the second wave of making it more toxic. I knew people who experience instant relief after giving up rice including myself.

*choose perennial plants over seasonal. Seeds of seasonal are most likely GMO's because farmers buy new and better seeds (allegedly) almost every copping.

*nutrition is not based on what or how much nutrient a certain plant contains but rather what your body needs and how your body process it. Everyone has a unique system and therefore will process each kind of food differently. Our body has a constantly changing needs. to count the nutrients is simply impossible. just let your body decide

* I don't juice but if you do sip a bit at a time and mix with your saliva.

*LISTEN TO YOU

hope this helps

Flash, even juicing fruits and veggies with pesticides is better than processed foods that also have exactly the same pesticides on them and even less nutritional value, I cant afford to eat organic as well, what I CAN do however is drink distilled water and take chlorella and spirulina as well as iodine in kelp form ( tablets), I also am aware of the budget limitations ( currently at home with a burn out and that dropped my income with 1000 euros a month, so now its just the bills and food, no more no less, I spend 50 euros a week on juicing, from a cheap supermarket and I am aware its not the best stuff to juice, Scrub the hell out of them before juicing, still...................its better than anything processed or canned, the distilled water and supplements do a pretty good job in cleaning up the bad stuff imo, so yeah, I juice a lot and most of it is prolly sprayed unfortunately, even this being the case, I have a lot of energy due to the juicing, the only way too 100% get around pesticides and be absolutely sure you only eat the purest and the best is grow ALL of it yourself, and that's a big task, take from the above what you will, hope that helps you out a bit, sorry, I cant do you one better than this.

What do I jam into my juicer, carrots, apples, lettuce, spinach, paksoi, ginger, pineapple, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, cabbage and whatever the hell I can jam in there that is for sale and cheap and looks ok.

Overall, it still clean me out better and keeps my mind fresh and crisp, btw, you can take the tups with yoghurt too, make sure you clean your bowels in advance, Oxy Powder is a great product to help with that and its relatively cheap, for about 35 bucks you should be on your way, there are enough caps in the bottle to give you about 10 top notch colonics, if you are not working now it is the best opportunity ever to clean yourself out.

Feel free to pm me, I don't know if I have anything to add but you might have some questions.

A good additive to a juice or smoothie might be Macqui Berry Powder. It's a bit pricey but you only need a teaspoon of it.It's supposed to be one of the highest anti-oxidants around.

More info: link (http://www.biodistributors.com.au/ProdInfFiles/maqui.php)

Organic Maqui Berry Powder

What is it?

Considered the highest anti-oxidant fruit on the planet, Loving Earth's Maqui is a deep purple berry wild harvested in the pristine conditions of Southern Chile. The harsh climate of the Patagonian region is credited with increasing the anthocyanin level of fruits and berries grown in that area, and this is seen in Macqui's ORAC score of 319,265 uMol TE per 100g.

Maqui is a native South America evergreen shrub that grows in dense thickets from 3?5 m in height and which reaches maturity between December and March. It is a dioecious plant that belongs to the family Elaeocarpaceae and produces small edible purple berries, about 6 mm in diameter, that are eaten fresh or used for juice, jams or wine-making. The plant prefers slightly acidic, moderately fertile and well-drained soils. It grows rapidly with adequate moisture and readily colonises abandoned, burned or over-exploited soils, thus protecting them from erosion. The intense red colour of the aqueous extract of its fruit is due to the presence of anthocyanin pigments causing it to be used as a natural dye. The leaves and fruits are astringent and have been used in Chilean folk medicine as anti-diarrhoeic, anti-inflammatory, anti-haemorrhagic and febrifuge.

The Mapuche Indian tribe is the only tribe in the Americas (northern and southerncontinents) that were not conquered by any European Countries. According to the Conquistadors, the Mapuche warriors ate very little solid food and drank a fermented beverage made from Maqui Berries several times a day, which may have contributed to the extraordinary strength and stamina that the warriors exhibited. The Mapuche Indians have used Maqui Berry leaves, stems, fruits and wine medicinally for thousands of years. Maqui Berries has been traditionally used by the Mapache Indians for sore throat, diarrhea, ulcers, haemorrhoids, birth-delivery, fever, tumors and other ailments.
How to use

Early in the day, Maqui is a great addition to your Buckinis or smoothies: add one teaspoon of Maqui Powder to meet your daily requirement. If you need an antioxidising hit in the evening, Maqui's sweet, tart flavour goes great with many desserts!

Unlike many other powders, you'll never get that gritty, grainy quality with Maqui. It dissolves beautifully, emanating a gorgeous purple sweetness...this stuff just has to be be tasted to be believed!
Health Benefits

The benefits of the Maqui Berry are many and varied; read this report from Food Chemistry for the full details.

Our raw freeze-drying process retains maximum nutrients meaning that our Raw Organic Maqui Powder is a true wholefood supplement. With the highest antioxidant quantity of any fruit, Maqui is reported to stimulate weight loss, delays the ageing process and detoxifies and cleanses the body. Research is also showing that it's a powerful anti-inflammatory and contains high levels of polyphenols and anthocyanins.

Antioxidants are substances that delay the oxidation process, which is the natural deterioration of cells leading to ageing. A growing body of literature points to the importance of natural antioxidants from many plants, which may be used to reduce cellular oxidative damage, not only in foods, but also in the human body. This may provide protection against a wide range of chronic diseases. The ORAC test measures a food?s antioxidant ability to neutralise free radicals and potentially mitigate health imbalances. The USDA recommend up to 5,000 ORAC units per day and more if under any of the various stressors most of us face each day. Most individuals get only 1,200 ORAC units or less per day; using a wholefood supplement such as Maqui as part of a healthy balanced diet will ensure that you're getting enough antioxidants to reap the maximum benefit.

Anthocyanins are antioxidant flavonoids that protect many body systems and have some of the strongest physiological effects of any plant compounds. They're produced by plants for self-protection against sun, irradiation, diseases and biological enemies.

Laboratory research shows that anthocyanins:

Reduce the coagulation of blood platelets, inhibiting formation of blood clots involved in stroke, pulmonary embolism, peripheral vascular disease and heart attack.
Promote higher levels of ?good? cholesterol, HDL.
Inhibit oxidation of ?bad? cholesterol, LDL.
Neutralize oxygen radicals.
Down-regulate enzymes leading to inflammatory reactions that cause pain and stimulate other diseases.

Processing

Maqui Berry Powder is obtained from freeze-drying and milling the frozen 100% pure Maqui berry fruit.

The Maqui fruit is obtained from an indigenous Chilean plant known as the Maqui or Chilean Wineberry Tree (Aristotelia chilensis). The berries are then washed and frozen at a minimum of -35 degrees C, before being crushed, pureed and having their seeds removed. Finally, the fruit is freeze-dried and ground into powdered form.
