Every once in a while a special video like this comes along and touches your heart...
Filmed in Switzerland by Pro Infirmis, a disability advocacy organization, the uber inspirational Because Who Is Perfect? campaign was shot especially for the International Day of People with Disability.
First, mannequins were created to resemble real-life individuals suffering from scoliosis and brittle bone disease. They were then dressed and displayed in fashion store windows on Zurich's glitzy Bahnhofstrasse - the "main downtown street and one of the world's most expensive and exclusive shopping avenues" - yesterday.
There's just something about this campaign that makes you want to smile, shed a tear and hug someone close to you all at the same time.
Needless to say, the mannequins elicited stunned reactions from many passersby, but the true goal of Because Who Is Perfect? was to enlighten and push the acceptance of people with disabilities and we believe it has succeeded.
Hopefully, you'll be as moved by this innovative initiative as we were and will share the video with your friends and fam.
