Glaxo to stop paying doctors to promote drugs

The British drug maker GlaxoSmithKline will no longer pay doctors to promote its products and will stop tying compensation of sales representatives to the number of prescriptions doctors write, its chief executive said Monday, effectively ending two common industry practices that critics have long assailed as troublesome conflicts of interest.

Big turn around--you don't suppose it has any thing to do with them being investigated for bribery by the Chinese by any chance, do you?

When you have blood pressure/cholesterol drugs inserted inside eye testing charts, you don't need to pay the doctors a red penny.

Had a cousin who used to push drugs for a major, providing antipasto platters for the poor overworked dears, and tropical seminars. Doctors thought that they couldn't be bought

But having drug names in their eye charts, and people reciting the name letter by letter, two dozen times per day...who needs to pay them really.

I saw he video on PBS yesterday, I think it was RT or The Asian Business Report. I had a little rapid heartbeat on the joy of them discovering patients are at risk in their health, by doctors who's salaries are tied to pharmaceutical stocks in their portfolio. Doctors are scripted and repeat what those 'undersighted" drug companies tell them to say, and they got paid for physicians conventions and speaking engagements to hospitals, that heard "only" what the companies wanted them to hear.

Revelation of corruptions is the best cure. Made me take a exhale, I've had a doctor tell me that herbal remedies were "an old wives tale." If looks could strip this emperor, I think he'd have been stripped bare. By his account that means: Aloes, coca leaves, cannabis, green tea, ginsing, and garlic are "old wives tales." Rockerfeller drug takeovers will never work in the 'eastern physician practices that use both natural and little lab untested drug prescriptions on their working population.

The plot thickens because if you notice the last few decades, people were dying more between the ages of 45-60 before collecting their Social Security they paid into. Could the devious plots have been so no one gets what they paid because they've known they already IOU'd it? Lots of people getting ready to do the penguin walk has a lot to do with this also. They are really desperate, but they are this close to the "click, click" of justice closing in on them now. China will not deal with the same crooks that plundered America in 1913, 1986, 2008. Ah uh...they want honesty with their business partners and America and Global Elites, have been telling lies to kill their own people, who's to say they give a darn about "those other people" when they lie to kill their own, and bring heroin and cocaine in to destroy families?
The younger more honest generations are the answer, not the greedy old lying farts of the past. WE were taught to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and we've bought it to the Most High. Justice comes even for the lab population poisoners holding back cures. How many have died for them holding the cure, and making money off the suffering.

They are all just bright flames on a dung pile just showing how much flatulence they were full of.
Ahhh...rejoice the truth, the way and the life is on the way and his workers of wonders will expose these criminals and murderers for what they do.

Strange to think that maybe they've trumped Chinese corruption finally?
They did something that shocked the Asians at last,
and now their town is getting cleaned up a bit.

UK makes so much money per year selling drugs to USA;
I guess they thought that Chinese would respect the way they cheat and bribe their way around the market.

Pandemrix is an influenza vaccine for influenza pandemics, such as the H1N1 2009 flu pandemic colloquially called the swine flu. The vaccine was developed by GlaxoSmithKline[1] and patented in September 2006.[2]

The vaccine is one of the H1N1 vaccines approved for use by the European Commission in September 2009 upon the recommendations of the European Medicines Agency (EMEA).[3] The vaccine is only approved for use when an H1N1 influenza pandemic has been officially declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) or European Union (EU).[3] This vaccine was initially developed as a pandemic mock-up vaccine using an H5N1 strain.[4]

In August 2010, The Swedish Medical Products Agency (MPA) and The Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) launched investigations regarding the acquirement of narcolepsy as a possible side effect to Pandemrix flu vaccination in children,[5] and found a minimum 6.6 fold increased risk among children and youths, resulting in a minimum of 3.6 additional cases of narcolepsy per 100.000 vaccinated subjects.[6]

It is not coincidental that Glaxo makes this announcement at exactly the same time Obamacare is being implemented. Why should Glaxo pay their sales staff and why should they continue to pay doctors for pushing their drugs. It is no longer necessary for these drug companies to continue to pay their employees and doctors, they now have the government doing their work for them at no cost whatsoever.

Galxo may be a multinational corporation but the company's single largest market is the United States, the company's most profitable market is the United States.

Big insurance and big pharma wrote a great deal of the Obamacare bill, many of their employees went to work for the government, became active in writing the bill and once it passed they returned to their big pharma companies with amazing (read alarming) salaries and bonuses. It is out there for everyone to see but the mainstream media has done virtually no reporting on this "insane conflict of interest".

Obamacare serves three masters.

1. Large corporation that no longer want to pay for their employee healthcare, they lobbied the government in favor of this healthcare, they may be complaining about the cost now but that is really cover for dropping their employees into the exchanges without penalty before December 31, 2014. How convenient, this will all happen after the 2014 midterm elections.

2. Large insurance companies, if you hear the insurance companies complaining it is only a smokescreen, premiums are going up for at least 70% of the population and deductibles are going up for about 90%+ of the people that had insurance before Obamacare. Also if people cannot afford insurance the government will now pay the insurance companies. In theory the insurance companies are getting 30 million new customers that were not insured before Obamacare. Whether this really happens is open for debate. Lastly the government has written into the bill a guaranteed profit for insurance companies. If they somehow lose money the government will pay billions to insure their profitability. When you think about it, Obamacare is not a true healthcare bill, it has very little to do with health but it has a lot to do with who pays for the insurance.

3. Big Pharma may be the largest winner in this fiasco. Government contracts will make untold billions for these companies. We can expect to see record profits from big pharma for decades.

It is very telling that the house voted in a 72% subsidy to pay for private healthcare for themselves and their families. Some have opted to join Obamacare but it is my belief it is for show and not because they want to! The two people that are more responsible for Obamacare have opted out of Obamacare, Obama's entire White House Staff and Senator Reid and his entire staff! This is really shameful!

Believe it or not I am in favor of a real healthcare bill for people but this nightmare called Obamacare was never written or intended to be a bill that generates better health for people, it was written for one political party and large corporations.
