This thread is dedicated to our friend FF

I would like to know about the best day of your life and why it was the best?
I have come to the realization that we must cherish every day we live even
the bad ones filled with problems and turmoil.

For myself, I have two dates. The birthdays of my two wonderful sons. but
specifically the birth of my first son Jason not because I love him more than
my other son Joshua but because of what happened to me the day he was
born. You see before he was born I was a drunkard,a self absorbed womanizer
who only cared about myself. I was the kind of person who most of you
would despise.

I remember being in the delivery room that morning and they handed me my
son. He was so beautiful. Bright blue eyes staring back at me. He was
counting on me to be a good person and a good dad. I guess I had a Grinch
moment where my heart grew 3 sizes lol

It started me down a path of caring for someone beside myself and I will
always be thankful for that.

Best day of my life was early 70's ... Billy Joel concert ... seated auditorium style about 6 rows back.

... with the most amazing woman I ever knew ...

... nope too stupid to marry her ... 3 years together I was too damn young and too damn stupid ... feeling of oats going on and she was worthy of someone who could be dedicated for life ...

... hey ... you asked!

... closest 2nd would be the birth of my 2nd son who is by far the greatest joy of my life.

... that would be first ... except he peed all over me when he was born :hand:

Everyday. When I open my eyes. And I am thankful for my many blessings.

A few years ago me and a good friend went rafting down a river in central Kansas. Just a couple young biologists, basking in the beauty of nature on a fine day, tobacco pipes in our mouths. We were like good ol' Tom and Huck! Words can't put into words the bliss of such freedom and comraderie we shared.

Many a Beaver and Great blue Heron joined us on adventure. :)
