Because I have lifted most limits on what I can experience, I have experienced a world come to life beyond imagination.

I even discovered a site for clowns like me!

Enjoy

It was this video I recently discovered where I realized science, in the form it exists today, will be hard pressed ever to explain for example, psi phenomena. Yet I have experienced massive amounts of psi phenomena - especially in the form of all but impossible to occur synchronicities and sceince still cannot explain it.

Does it have to?

Enjoy Rupert Sheldrake - 1TerTgDEgUE

Hey Justoneman , youre wunna therm "smart" humans aint cha ?

LOL

Slightly off topic, but a couple days ago I was at a workplace (lumbermill) Christmas party.

There were 4 different conversations going on about Duck Dynasty.

And one conversation about antibiotic-resistant bacteria as a result of the over-use of antibiotics by hospitals and clinics. (mine)

As I had this conversation I heard one of the office administrative assistants lean over to one of the managers and say "Jeff kinda talks about things that are,... I don't know,... smart."

Anyway, thanks for the link Justone. I've only read the contents of the main page (I'm doing several browsing sessions at the same time) but I am most pleasantly and enthusiastically intrigued. Good show!

It was this very Duck Dynasty public discussion that recently caused me to melt down into one final 'dark night of the soul' knowing that I am of the same material substance as the masses of humanity that have gotten caught up in things like Duck Dynasty and worse, that by all this attention demonstrate the truth that Duck Dynasty must clearly have massive import to the human condition.

Can we say, "utterly dickriculous!"

Yes, I too had a meltdown of sorts (beginning at/with the same Christmas party).

It's been over ten years since 911, with all the material that has been openly and publicly available (architects and engineers, etc), or that of JFK and the subsequent years and information, or the declassification of the Gulf of Tonkin, operation Northwoods etc. ad nauseum.

But never mind all that. It took what, 2 days before everyone and their dog has PLENTY to talk about a bunch of (pardon me) redneck bird hunters and the particular opinions of one of them? I'd never even known about Duck Dynasty until about a week ago when I first saw shirts and hats popping up at a local clothing store, and I STILL didn't/don't care. I was (in public, not so much here) a staunch critic of professional 'sports' and the manner in which people invest their time, energy and awareness to such (fantasy football, etc.) but THIS?!?

And yes! Like you said! These are individuals in whom I/you/we share the same infinite consciousness! These are individuals who have had the same opportunity to recognize the decay of the US (and others), the malignant manipulation of the various economies, the tyrannical injustices made in the name of false propaganda and false flags, the overt corruption of food and nutrition, etc ALSO ad nauseum?!

Ad nauseum indeed.

I have been around the block many times, yet it still has amazed me all the attention some idiot duck call makers who happened to land a reality TV show (who isn't on some reality TV show these days) happens to make a completely predictable dumb statement and suddenly this not only becomes news but becomes the biggest story to hit the news (at least in the US) for weeks and continues to be extended and talked about and dissected and reviewed and rehashed and on and on and on....

No wonder the planet is so freaking upside down. No wonder blood drinking Satanists can rise secretly to power over a bunch of idiots like us who can be distracted so easily by total, utter nonsense. At least it has gone this way over here in America. Hard to feel sorry for us as we are all responsible.

I am in protest mode now and won't watch any TV news anymore all because of this stupid Duck Dynasty garbage. And note, the only reason I would was to keep my finger on the pulse of the masses. I have now written us all off for the time being.

and NO - the thread did not become derailed. The same logical force was behind this thread direction as has been behind the news worthiness of the Duck Dynasty fiasco.

Let us also not turn our heads away from the fact that many people here on Avalon act the same way on certain topics. It is shocking, but I often find that some on here question anything and everything...but when a topic comes up that does not validate one of their beliefs (i.e. unsustainability of meat production)...I cannot see much difference between them and sheeple.

Just a thought...

Gosh, I'm glad to see there's someone else out there who neither knows nor cares what some redneck semi-celebrity said about anything. Americans have become so effin' dumb that they can't tell the difference between news and gossip.

My only interest in MSM is to see how they craft the lie or direct the deflection.

Peace!

The whole gay issue is becoming very tiresome to me. I support equal rights for everyone, including marrying who you want. But I don't care to have anyone's sexual preferences shoved in my face. I don't care what people do in their bedrooms or who they do it with, as long as children and small animals aren't involved. Being straight, my reaction to the idea of gay sex is "Ewwww!" But it's none of my damn business. I've had many gay and bisexual friends, I've worked with gay folks, I see people all the time who are plainly gay - and I don't dwell it because I'm simply not interested in their sexual preferences. As long as people are not causing pain, fear or trauma to other sentient beings in the pursuit of physical pleasure, why should anybody take notice?

Hetero, bi, and homosexuality are simply points on the scale OF sexuality. Everyone lands somewhere and for someone to begrudge another expression is short-sighted in my opinion.

Though, I agree that I don't want to see it, nor am I one who forces others to see my expressions of it. Rightly so IMO.

I do not begrudge the guy (Phil?) for expressing his disposition when asked, that is the point of an interview after all.

What I object to is the mass perception (no doubt pushed by certain agencies) that this is important, that people need to know, talk, and opine about it. Why can't a guy's opinion begin and end with him, and the rest of the world move on? I've alluded to it previously, so now I'll outright say it.

Don't people have better ways to spend their time and energy? Apparently not, at least they don't think so. Imagine what would come if 1/10th of such people were skeptical, critical, and investigative toward sustainability or conducivity!

Why can't the opinions of people like Rupert Sheldrake get the same kind of media/populace attention?

Simply, why can't people focus on something that might make a difference instead of what is (IMO) abject :bs:?

Greenguy... I would probably be crucified if I admitted to this "out there" but I still don't know what this duck guy said. I kept on heAring about some duck dynasty on the radio, and one time I finally saw a picture of the show cover. I saw a bunch of unshaven guys and I just clicked off the page.

I still don't know what this duck guy said.

I don't either. Apparently he said that homosexuality was a sin, and compared gays to terrorists, or something like that....who cares. Move along, nothing to see here, sez I.

:focus:

What I found most revealing and gratifying in Skeptical Investigations is its conclusions regarding "Mainstream" skeptics. In particular, I have found Michael Shermer to be a particularly dogmatic hyper-skeptic.

One of my family members gifted me a subscription to both Skeptic and Scientific American magazines a couple years back, and I remember asserting that what is being passed off as Skepticism is actually rigid scientific fundamentalism. Aside, I'll give you 3 guesses how that was received (he loved both mags).

Skepticism - as I understand it - is comparable to Agnosticism in that there is the underlying admission that one doesn't initially know what is "true or correct" and that only after careful experimentation, review of information, etc. can one attempt to eliminate inaccurate/non-conducive conclusions.

Amongst the magazines, there seems to be a foregone conclusion as to what is correct, accurate, or supportable. Moreover, one who disagrees with said foregone conclusions is (at the very least) WRONG!! Further I have noticed a want amongst editorialists w/ Skeptic to make more or less veiled insults and character assassinations toward their detractors.

The author in particular I am recalling (not the name, sorry) had more than one flagrant thing to say about Barbara Loe Fisher and Dr. Joe Mercola, simply because they questioned the accuracy, efficacy, dangers, and overall PR presentation of vaccines (at one point the word "Infamous" was used).

Much thanks Justone for the link and the TEDx, and Wind for the follow-up with Dr. Sheldrake.
