Great article here. (http://www.yesmagazine.org/people-power/10-things-that-happened-in-2013?utm_source=YTW&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=20131227) Things we can focus on and be thankful for. Bad stuff gets most of the press, so we need to celebrate the positive when we find it - and it's out there.

As someone who lives in NJ and knows a bit about economics, I will tell you that the minimum wage increase will only harm the poor just like every minimum wage law has ever done.

#3 is nothing but bad news from the minimum wage laws and especially the election of de Blasio and Warren.

I'd be interested in seeing you develop these ideas for us. I'm curious why living in NJ gives you special knowledge about minimum wage. I have heard other arguments that establishing a minimum wage actually harms the poor - and I've never quite understood the logic. Perhaps you can enlighten me.

I don't have a ton of time today but here is a quick 7 minute intro and I will gladly return to this thread. Opening up a history book and looking at teen employment, poverty levels, and overall employment in correlation to the rises in minimum wage will give you a good background. Minimum wage is also one of the favorite tools of racists, which I guess is why the D side of our fake two party system loves them.
