For the last six months, Catholic cardinals, bishops and theologians have been deliberating in Vatican City, discussing the future of the church and redefining long-held Catholic doctrines and dogmas. The Third Vatican Council, is undoubtedly the largest and most important since the Second Vatican Council was concluded in 1962. Pope Francis convened the new council to “finally finish the work of the Second Vatican Council.” While some traditionalists and conservative reactionaries on the far right have decried these efforts, they have delighted progressives around the world.

The Third Vatican Council concluded today with Pope Francis announcing that Catholicism is now a “modern and reasonable religion, which has undergone evolutionary changes. The time has come to abandon all intolerance. We must recognize that religious truth evolves and changes. Truth is not absolute or set in stone. Even atheists acknowledge the divine. Through acts of love and charity the atheist acknowledges God as well, and redeems his own soul, becoming an active participant in the redemption of humanity.”

“Through humility, soul searching, and prayerful contemplation we have gained a new understanding of certain dogmas. The church no longer believes in a literal hell where people suffer. This doctrine is incompatible with the infinite love of God. God is not a judge but a friend and a lover of humanity. God seeks not to condemn but only to embrace. Like the fable of Adam and Eve, we see hell as a literary device. Hell is merely a metaphor for the isolated soul, which like all souls ultimately will be united in love with God” Pope Francis declared.

In a speech that shocked many, the Pope claimed “All religions are true, because they are true in the hearts of all those who believe in them. What other kind of truth is there? In the past, the church has been harsh on those it deemed morally wrong or sinful. Today, we no longer judge. Like a loving father, we never condemn our children. Our church is big enough for heterosexuals and homosexuals, for the pro-life and the pro-choice! For conservatives and liberals, even communists are welcome and have joined us. We all love and worship the same God.”

One statement in the Pope’s speech has sent traditionalists into a fit of confusion and hysteria. “God is changing and evolving as we are, For God lives in us and in our hearts. When we spread love and kindness in the world, we touch our own divinity and recognize it. The Bible is a beautiful holy book, but like all great and ancient works, some passages are outdated. Some even call for intolerance or judgement. The time has come to see these verses as later interpolations, contrary to the message of love and truth, which otherwise radiates through scripture. In accordance with our new understanding, we will begin to ordain women as cardinals, bishops and priests. In the future, it is my hope that we will have a woman pope one day. Let no door be closed to women that is open to men!”

In addition to the Pope’s sweeping calls for tolerance and a new progressive understanding of Catholicism, he condemned racism, raising his voice and pounding the podium in front of him. Pope Francis spent over an hour castigating anti-immigrant politicians, parties and individuals. Wagging his finger sternly with righteous indignation, the Pope shouted “Racism today is the ultimate evil in the world. When Italians, Spanish or French turn back the boats of African migrants seeking a better life, are they not like the inn keeper who told Mary and Joseph that there was no room for them and the infant Christ? These migrants are children of God and we are commanded to love them!”

His voice loudly echoing through St. Peter’s basilica, the Pope stated “those who would dare to turn immigrants away, be they legal or undocumented, turn their backs on Christ himself! A racist is not a true Christian. A racist casts aside his humanity to become a beast, a demon! He is the embodiment and personification of evil, a Satan!”

To a chorus of thunderous applause, Pope Francis stated “because Muslims, Hindus and African Animists are also made in the very likeness and image of God, to hate them is to hate God! To reject them to is to reject God and the Gospel of Christ. Whether we worship at a church, a synagogue, a mosque or a mandir, it does not matter. Whether we call God, Jesus, Adonai, Allah or Krishna, we all worship the same God of love. This truth is self-evident to all who have love and humility in their hearts!”

In a announcement that shocked many people, Pope Francis warned that “those who seek to deny a home to the migrant, to the African and the Muslim, risk their membership in the church. We will consider excommunication for those whose souls willingly dwell in the darkness and evil of intolerance and racism. Satan himself is a metaphor or a personification, for the collective evils of mankind. Today, these evils manifest foremost as racism, intolerance, religious persecution and bigotries of all kinds.”

A couple of prominent Catholic cardinals have responded to Pope Francis’ declarations by leaving the church. Cardinal Arinze of Nigeria asked, “what do we stand for if we declare that truth is relative? On the contrary, truth exists independently of our personal feelings. All of this talk of love and tolerance is hollow if we have no identity of our own, if we stand for nothing. I charge that Francis has become a heretic, and that he is not a valid Pope. Indeed, Francis is no longer even a Catholic. The seat of Saint Peter is vacant. I am now a Sedevacantist. I should have become one long ago. The Vatican has embraced ecumenism in the past, but worse than that, it has now embraced moral relativism on abortion and homosexuality. At the same time it is embracing moral absolutism in favour of illegal immigration and cultural genocide against Europe.”

In his most controversial statement, Cardinal Arinze said “Islam has overrun my own country, and now it threatens to overrun Europe. Some parts of Nigeria now live under Islamic Sharia law. Catholics there are no longer free to practice their faith publicly. Francis is a fool if he thinks that his liberal immigration policy will end well. He has betrayed western civilization. Vatican City will one day become a giant mosque if things continue in Europe along their present course. Those in the West who ignore this truth, do so at their own peril.”

I am happy there is no hell, for all the good people who thought they were doomed (i am not sure for the psychopaths leading us, no hell!!! Ha... they already did not believe in it anyhow, so it did not effect their behavior).

I like those kind of thinking, but, what I see is a one world religions that Catholic will try to take the lead in transforming religions.

I would vote for no more religions altogether...

And why don't they plainly just say the truth such as "gods in the bible are extra terrestrial or dimensional beings, such as humans are extremely poweful when in full use of their abilities, etc.

The Vatican is actually proning full love, but without full truth. Full blind love leads to stupidity, we have seen in many time. Love and wisdom are necessary, love and truth, to have wisdom.

The new religion should may be be: LOVE AND TRUTH FOR ALL

The Bible or rather the writings within the book are the base of Christian faith, it just says to me the Pope and his so called church are more interested in their own image and beliefs. It just reinforces that all religions are man made, based upon power, ignorance, arrogant and manipulation. What makes you think the Vatican Council knows any more about creation that many of the worlds population. With the history of the Catholic church they are in no position to decide what is and what is not, it is for each individual through their own experiences to find the truth, not being dictated to by a church responsible for murder, criminal activities and the like.

If it is fake its good entertainment

I was laughing with a friend who remembers when I had an argument with a nun about Adam and Eve almost half a century ago

I said, so sister we were created from incest, oh no she said, Adam and Eve went on to have more children, so incest I repeated

my friend was giggling

Then I said so sister it said in the bible when Cain killed Able a mark was put on Cain's forehead to let the people know he was a murderer, she nodded

What people were they I said, she went red in the face and said she did not have time to argue such nonsense

Only today, that same friend and I were laughing about that conversation

Have any of you read the bible? LMAO

Re-read Genesis. Adam was created, if you look, after human beings were created.

Oh that makes for an interesting point! Especially if you want to take the stance of genetic manipulation!

Chapter 1, verse 26:

Then God said, “And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us. They will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild,[d] large and small.” 27 So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, 28 blessed them, and said, “Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds, and all the wild animals. 29 I have provided all kinds of grain and all kinds of fruit for you to eat; 30 but for all the wild animals and for all the birds I have provided grass and leafy plants for food”—and it was done. 31 God looked at everything he had made, and he was very pleased. Evening passed and morning came—that was the sixth day.

Chapter 2, verse 7:

Then the Lord God took some soil from the ground and formed a man out of it; he breathed life-giving breath into his nostrils and the man began to live.

When you look out a dirty window, you see the world through a dirty window. You react to the world as if it is as you see it through a dirty window.

The thing I laugh the most about, especially in what I'm beginning to understand as the "alt" community, is just how many dirty windows there are, and how many people claim to be window cleaners. XD

Try reading it, and then anything, with a clean window.

Ah, that's the problem. How does one clean one's window?

Well.. I know it's still not what you were hoping for, but there will be some. (Which is it's purpose - more to follow) It will be posted online, debated and praised/condemned for a while until people start finding the sister debunking (snopes as eg.) articles that accompany it. Feelings will be hurt, paradigms questioned, soapboxes will be made and broken. This is happening daily on several topics it becomes difficult to keep track. Adding "Dis" to this "Age of Information".

I'm sure you're not alone in how you feel :) At least it will spark some discussions. (and some ripples across the pond)

{For any wondering, my comment was made with full awareness of this article being inaccurate}

I am.. liking this pope.. Only the 3rd in my lifetime, but my favourite so far. Unlike most people, I always thought Jean Paul II was a bit of a prick. I think the current Papacy could be one of the most historically significant in the modern era if recent events are anything to go by. Instead of preventing disquiet, Francis is not afraid to do and say things that upset certain elements within the church and the laity. He may even be happy to drive the worms out of the woodwork. True Christianity is a revolutionary religion, even today, and some of the conservative elements within the church are rather counter to the cause and Francis looks like he is trying to break free of those hindrances and pretenders. With the passing of Jean Paul II, gone is the brain dead idolatry, the train of canonisations (the church's form of celebrity) - and following the brief Benedict XVI period, an era of work may have begun.

For me, the positive elements of Christianity relate to Christ and are in the New Testament (not that I am a Christian, nor a scholar), for the church to continue to move further away from old testament dogma I don't believe is a bad thing. It's a natural progression, and hopefully one that will ultimately result in the removal of God worship altogether. The removal of the fear of hell is also positive, as it encourages selflessness. I do remember the church at some point in the recent past saying that literal hell does not exist - but I welcome any re-statement that has been made.

I feel most things that attempt to tackle religion --or any philosophy for that matter-- also attempt to only approach only the most fundamentalist and literalist viewpoints within the 'mainstream'.
I highly doubt the modern--and even to some degree the traditional--vatican approach these things in this manner; which really brings into question the fierce propagation of such ideas.

In the words of Dion Fortune:
"it is a strange thing that christian exegesis has never sought the keys to the old testament in the qabalah"

All of which is leaning off-topic while inevitably still being extremely related -- so, back to the pope!

so it might be real...the article.
i found nuggets of 'preciseness' which made it seem real and intimical to the [-well, to a real situation]
i.e. it would be the traditionalists keeping back,, it would be the country with a militant islamic portion decrying 'this lack of definition',,most certainly it would be also a nigerian cardinal commentator.(for my small part of observation on the real world, i have found that the catholic church reaps priests when there are sufferings, i.e. mostly european priests reaped from ww2-calamities, and well since africa is a suffering continent, it now reaps most of its priests from there {which makes sense is this is a fake, otherwise why so much emphasis on the banging fists}).

-for my own part, i have noticed of us, ..we fixed on 'sensorium, which fits into theories'-, when really, ...combined religion being so-bad?,no not at all {& if that was the pope who enunciated those portions, i'd be crying and stomping 'patricha forever'}
..which theory got into this 'end scheme thing'....stub that--
the way man lives in this universe compared to how this universe works is sometimes discordant (i.e. we want the sound bit thing that can entertain us, perhaps we say an incantation before getting busy with other stuff,,, whereas, those predisposed for mining wealth of materials,,,it is a really: a 'thank-you very much'kind of thing, even would be for the massive Bagvads)
-i think they got this from the verse, 3frogs speud from the beasts mouth-(frogs in mythology could really be as religions...indepthificator-systems)
anycase the debate wormholes to many quadrants, and i'd probably like to discuss the validity of seeing certain things as well it is seen,,,,,but the fluxesflows could be more for those who have set set values for these and just need to go on

satire thanks. i realized what the 3 frogs may symbolize. maybe since one of those youtubevids or zeitgiest, i too associated a 1-world religion as one of those steps to a bad world, like microchipping people etc. On what authority would i say frogs-religions....well there is this one deck i came across, like a tarot deck, where the frog is a symbol of being able to pull inward through the inner realms successfully. So if this end systems spews forth 'frogs'/religions, it may be, or it may be a preconfigured thought basis being the frogs..infesting those...inciting them to fight.
my best guess in mauling it around, rather than sitting with materials.

also, for the sake of transparency.. the sound BYTE preference, is taken from George Carlin

OOOhhh!!! Thank you for posting this! When I saw Religulous in 2008, I had not yet heard of David Icke. When I was ready to hear David Icke's message, I had forgotten this part of the movie. However, I am SURE that I laughed at him right along with Bill Maher. From what I read of the plejarens contacts , a barbaric ruler , a decendant of the old lyrians , named ARUS came to earth with 200 sub-leaders ,scientist in the needed fields ... one of these sub-leaders feared their race would be genetically mutated like before , so to preserve their bloodline , they captured wild humans and a sub-leader named semjasa mated with an earth woman and gave birth to a completely new life form ADAM ( meaning earth human being) , another child was born also named EVA (the bearer) these two were mated together and from these present earth mankind devolped , about 15,000 years ago ... ARUS and his scientist eventually developed a degree of spirituality and decided to leave , returning to the pleadies , leaving earth humans to develope naturally ...

Planet of the Apes said a lot already.

Francis scares the orthodox types because he dares to tread where no other pope has in modern history.

In reality, I'll believe him when I see it.

Sorry for the slow uptake - I just added "(Satire - see Post #28)" to this thread's title. Thanks for the link documenting such.

They all are originally from the Lyra and Vega constellations , the ring nebula , we call the eye of God , it is said to be the farthest sun in our know universe ...

Making way for a/the new global religion... Step four.

LOL, I was just thinking the same thing!!

Me too! we're all far too skeptical...lol!

Not Skeptical...:nono:

Just see  right through the Propaganda, Doublespeak & Con...:yes4:

The VATICAN is a stain on humanity, no matter which Gallah heads it...:faint:

Benedict was banished because he had committed so many Crimes, it left the Vatican with no choice but to sweep this Pedophiliac under the carpet and try and start the CON all over again..!

Next comes Pope Francis who (Ticks) all the boxes...

Friendly
Approachable
Sincere
Empathetic
Transparent, etc

The Vatican still runs the Drug Trade, the Pedophile Trade, Invest in the Military Industrial Complex's (War Machine) and the Jesuits run the Worlds Economy, etc, etc...

Anyone who thinks that ((Anything)) is going to change for the better due to the new Pope are absolutely inbred (Delusionary)...:faint:

Now its (Business as Usual) with the Pontif saying and doing all the right things, whilst the (Vatican Satanists) continuing with their Century old ways of ruling by Covert means..!

I will relent of my rigid criticism (largely irl and not on the forum) of Catholicism/the Pope when:
A. He/they stops all the child-raping
B. They open the library vaults

Till then,....
