The information leaked so far about the Trans-Pacific-Partnership (TPP) so called "trade treaty" being negotiated makes it clear that this is a corporate wet dream for the bastards in power, with goodies for the financial and pharmaceutical corporations, and new mechanisms using copyright law to force our Internet Service Providers (ISP's) to become control agents for said bastards.

Hey Paul, I'm sort of similar in that I am not a wealthy man, and the little bit of money I do have is not invested. And its not life altering $ either, so if the economy collapses here in america and martial law is implemented, packing up and moving to a relatively unaffected south american country is out of the question. Plus I have a sort of unique illness that makes life on the run an unlikelihood.

So my attitude has always been, "whatever happens, happens". Its a zen attitude I haven't really honestly earned - its a philosophy I've been forced to swallow. But if I'm going down with the boat, I'll be damned if that boat doesn't have Wi-Fi! And a net that allows for freedom of speech and choice. I'd march in the streets for that;)

once again , they do things that go against the public ... I know what NAFTA did to our economy, all the business folk shipped jobs to mexico , canada , and russia , we lost tons of jobs because of that insanity ... Our leaders show their true colors again ... anti-humanity ...

Nowadays, if there isn't internet access for anyone of us will be the end of world.. literally !
Time ago, i really tought about buying an amateur radio to prevent a future communication collapse. ( inevitable IMO ).
