View Full Version : My first UFO sighting ever today!

Yes, I saw my first ever UFO tonight about 5.10pm in Edinburgh from my front path. I was on my way to go visit the doctor, not to do with my bad eyesight may I say, when I looked up to the moon which was quite high in the sky and noticed a white light flashing near near it. I am no expert on aviation technology however, but the flashing light was coming from the direction where most flights coming into Edinburgh Airport normally are. The normal sight of planes coming from that height and direction are a white light constantly shining. I am well acquainted with this normal air traffic here. There's a flight coming into Edinburgh at that time of day every 3 minutes or so. Now the Moon, is roughly speaking, about half a degree diameter from Earth. This flashing light which flashed about every 3 seconds was not going in a straight line anywhere. The thing was zig zagging at angles and very fast. Planes don't go this fast. It definitely was not a plane going in and out of clouds as I would have been able to predict where the light would have been flashing. I could not predict where it would be from one flash of light to the next. Imaging a straight line and now this flashing light on either side of the line every time it flashes. At one point it went on a backward angle. It was moving from its position to the next about 3-5 Moon diameters.
I might be able to make a sketch and post it.

aranuk, would you say your sighting resembled a white star at all because I believe I have seen these on at least 3 separate occasions once since the new year started?!?!

And when I have its been from the corner of my eye kind of thing then it/they comes into my full attention

:)

I made a sketch and copied it to my desktop. Can anyone instruct me on how to post it here. I just tried paste and it didn't work.

You should upload it to image sharing website like photobucket.com. You should have account there. Then copy the URL and post here.

Hi Star Tsar. To answer your question, this was NOT a star. Stars don't move across the sky like this did. It was no helicopter either. I am familiar with the air traffic from my home position. I am an astrologer and I always watch the sky. It was not a shooting star either as they are extremely fast a few seconds from east to west sort of thing. Also the planes move very slow to the eye when they are coming your way.

Ah aranuk, I mean't to get across that the objects I have seen looked like stars but where definitely not!
I did not mean in anyway to detract from your sighting just trying to see if there where any similarities :)

Stan,

click on 'reply,' then choose 'go advanced.' Scroll down and you'll see a button 'Manage Attachments.' A new, smaller window will open up. On the top right on the smaller window is a button 'Add files.' Click on that and follow the instructions. If you have trouble still, let me know or email me the pic.

Maybe it just waited to show itself to me as I opened my front door? Maybe. :whoo: :wave:
I did of course think for a split second to take a picture with my phone and remembered that it was in my study charging. I knew instantly that if I turned around and fumbled for my keys and went in it would be gone. The most important thing is I observed it and I didn't throw away my chance. I hope I can join Mojo and friends who are multiple observers of such phenomena. A question here for Mojo. Sir, have you heard of a similar sighting at all, anywhere?

Hi Stan,
Others have witnessed this type of flashing that moves quickly at distances in the sky and appears to zig-zag. Gr8 synchronicity on your question as just watched a recent video showing it pretty well. Personally witnessed them too
..best wishes and hope you can keep an eye out for more...:)

if you jump to 2:23 in the video see if it is similar...the strobing effect starts at 2:57

your own experience is awesome , no one can take it from you and it's yours ...thanks so much for sharing it here ... Keep an eye out , they will show themselves again and maybe even closer ... this is part of their disclosure , their way not ours ... one person at a time , bit by bit ... You may even have some strange dreams in the weeks to come , just go with it ...

Hi Mojo, what I saw was only a white light flashing. In my memory it was moving in the direction of the invisible line I depicted in my sketch. I have been in Heathrow Airport in London and watched the planes approach landing. As one white light takes a few minutes to get near another one further away suddenly appears in the sky at the same place. This happens monotonously 2 minutes in stages . The planes do NOT make very fast unexplainable zig zag movements on their approach. Moreover their lights are continuous. My sighting however was very unusual in that the white light was flashing every 3 seconds or thereabouts and reappearing from left to right in a great distance each time. I am describing it well as I didn't take a picture of it. I am trying to create a picture of what I saw only.

Hi aranuk , you just described something quite similar to my first sighting I had about seven years ago , when I was living in (East) Vancouver B.C . I too knew of the regular flight paths of airliners in my area , this was definitely nothing of the sort .

It was near the end of summer , dusk . I was standing on my deck which has a view of the east , south , and west , having a ciggy and sky gazing . I noticed a very bright white/silver light to the southeast , and it moved exactly how you illustrated . One difference would be the length of time the object zig-zagged . It was so fast that it looked as if it was teleporting from one point of the zig to the other point of the zag . Only about 5 seconds , then it suddenly stopped , there was a quick yellowish / orange flash and it was gone . Like an instant thrust .

Last Monday night , it was dark , around 8 p.m. Smoking / stargazing , noticed a solid white light slowly moving in a zig zag pattern . Phone was inside charging ( of coarse the only time I don't have it with me ) . So I quickly ran inside the house , called to the wife and oldest son to come out . When I got back and looked , it was already gone .

So thanks aranuk , for the collaboration to what I saw . Other wise I probably wouldn't have shared .

Hi Sir Eltor, how many times did it zig zag? It seems you saw what I did too!:clap2:

The recent observation only lasted about 10 seconds , I only saw it zig zag about 5 times before I left to try and get some family witnesses .

My first account . it zig zagged about 12 times in 5 seconds . Pretty fast , in comparison to your 8 Z's per 1 min.

If it was me who saw this thing, and it was exactly as you described, then I think it highly likely it was not a natural or earthly phenomenon.

Congratulations! The first sighting is always the best.
