My name is Kyle, I am free years old. I know Grampa Fred
At 3 AM my parents kidnapped me, and took me to a hospital.
5 AM this morning they put me on a table, then stuck tubes in my feet!
Then they made me go to sleep.
Then the doctor punched me in the nose, so hard I needed a band-aid.
Then he did something else because I have a sore froat.
When I woke up, everyone pretended like they didn't do anything... just acted very very nice.
When we got in the car to go home, Dad turned and looked at me and said, "So how you doin', sport?"
I told him to "SHADDUPP!!"
Mom said she would come in the back seat and sit with me, I told her,
"NO! You stay THERE!"
When we got home everybody acted like everything was all better, but I know better cuz they kept trying to give me Jell-O, and choklit pudding. I told them "NO! I have a sore froat!"
So, I hate my doctor.
I hate my Mom.
I hate my Dad.
I hate everybody and I'm taking a nap.
Kyle
Grampa here;
My grandson Kyle had both his tonsils and adnoids removed at about 5 AM this morning. He is back home, doing just fine, but there'll be hell to pay when he wakes up. ;)

Kyle in his happier days, before they beat him up ;)

Truth is, his adnoids and tonsils were so big, he was having breathing troubles while sleeping.
Got so bad the doctors were calling it sleep apnia.
Finally figgered out that, sometimes there really is a good reason for taking the critters out, "just for drill".
Anyway... he's home and safe.
and Thanks, all

I had my tonsils pulled when I was 3.5 years old.
It was my first experience with massive doses of Ketamine, commonly known as the big "K".
Strapped to a gurney, wacked on Ketamine, and just like the start of this video..but seriously ..er..warped. Feeling totally boxed in and drawn out...Just slamming through those hospital doors...

My second husband was fond of the saying... "It'll feel better when it quits hurting..."
... so there you go.
(and pssst... kyle, tell grampa you need an extra two weeks of ice cream ... "just to make sure...") hehehe

Maybe Fred was making this subtle point: that this is almost a description of a horrifying and traumatic ET abduction experience.
Yet Kyle's parents intended the best, and were only trying to help.
The problem was that Kyle would not have understood their explanation...

How...disturbing...of a perspective Bill...but, thank you.
The perspective reminds me of a movie I watched recently..
The boy in pyjamas..
a childs point of view of the holocaust..
Great movie that made me very angry...
Lessons are learned in all sorts of places.

I'm inclined to agree with the ... disturbing thing.
But speedy recovery to the little one.

Fred, I'm so happy Kyle is pulling through allright. I'm sure once the swelling from all the surgery goes down and he realizes he can sleep better he'll understand. I think Bill is right. Sometimes we don't know that "others" are doing painful or uncomfortable things for our or humanities benefit. And you do make a gorgeous grandchild. Soulful eyes. Take care.

Thank you all again for the kind words.
And yes, there was no way the lil guy was going to truly understand the whole 'for your own good' point of view.
He had seen the doctor twice in the few weeks before this. The doctor, and his parents all worked on s'plainin' to Kyle what this was all about, and what it would entail. The only thing they can't explain is what it'll be like to someone who'd never had a thing like this done to him before. And he held up really well, too. A brave lil guy right up to where they moved him off the reg bed, onto the surgical one.
That was where he had his, "Hey waita minute. They aren't kidding!" moment. Big stuff fer a 3-yr old.
But, let me also thank everyone, once again. My wife saw this, and decided to print it out to take with her when she goes to see him. She can show him get well wishes from all over the world. Kinda neat.

Not just that but it also make folks wonder if they had been abused as a child, accusing there poor parent of abuse as they get older into adult hood, False memories are just as real to folks as everyday active memories..
