right now i'm so sick of people putting a fake mask to please themselves or put others down. It seems that people just can't accept the truth and one of the causes is Understanding but once people who have been in same situation they able to accept the truth and being real who they really are.

i'm so tired right now past few days especially after today road trip with family members. myself and other people doesn't want to go but they keep talking about love or family values stuff against their will go along but they have huge egos thinking about themselves before and during the road trip. For me to show love is the positive treatment/motion on other people without condition.

Here's the story for you guys which tick me off, the father who is over 60 is in the hospital with surgery in bad condition mentally and the kids and in-laws is busy with other stuff like Working or their kids, taking turn to stay in the hospital. his children is busy with their family life such as kids-working-shopping...if your father is in hospital should you drop everything to stay in hospital? demand husband or wife quit work be with your father in law? because of the kids busy with their stuff and father got worst mentally...everything have to be shared for the children in regarding with parents.

I hear your frustration, and I've experienced it also. It does get frustrating when people talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. Bottom line is that people want to get their personal needs met first. No matter how selfish it seems, they don't see it. They want what they want. Most people aren't in service to others because we've been taught and conditioned to please ourselves.

You can set the example, state your feelings and move on. I don't believe you can change them or make them understand until they want to understand. It's just my opinion, but I've been in the same boat.

Masks are fake period. Humans do this. You are entrapped, they are not.

As the Christ said - let the dead bury the dead.

If there is no guilt, there is no sin.

when he is gone , time will pass , they will feel quilty forever, then they will keep living their groundhog day until they do the right thing eventually ... and get real ...

Sorry to hear you have sadness in your family Apocalyps, take heart, your angst is palpable, people do so respond differently to emotional situations, most of which is automatic, and often self interest as you say.

Is this your father or your spouses father? Not sure from your post.

Anyway sometimes when there is saddening events in a family it gets tense and the 'personas' come out in force in defense of whatever [fill in the blank] too busy, got work, no baby sitter, all justifications for the stance. So yes I hear you. Done it myself on occasion I am ashamed to say, rather than say well actually I don't feel the need to right now, maybe later. (the honest answer)

If I were to say what I would do and have done it would be
' do what is right for you in the circumstance according to your feelings and plainly state it, let others do what is right for them'. Let them have their personas and their rationalisations, its how they cope.

One thing I have found over time is that doing the 'right' thing when someone is going to pass on helps with grief, and deep grief is sustained only by regret at not having done so. There is no second chance when someone has passed on.
fwiw

My thoughts are with you at this time.

i'm really frustrated right now as more i saw my family members who i talked about earlier the more i'm pissed not really at them but society and the egos. speaking from their side, what's the point of going to church praying being religious when you are disconnected from what the Bible taught you? i know everyone of us in here have some type of issue with their family or relative but when i look at it comes down to Education for their up bringing.

my cousin who always stay at home watching some Online show/movie like Dr Who, i tried to tell her about time travel and Quantum Physics behind the show but she doesn't want to hear it...the moment i mention those 4 word time travel and Quantum Physics, she dismiss it doesn't want to hear and i really want to cry. parent seems to be proud of upbringing especially with their studies, society doesn't need bunch of Phd's or intelligent people but we need people who Think and think for themselves not following orders. I'm fear of next generation of kids what society going to become and our kids got dumb down.
