View Full Version : Archaeologists Discover Lost Civilization Under The Melting Arctic

Sheets of ice along the Arctic have continued to melt at alarming rates and with that melting has come a new discovery. Archaeologists at a melt site in Norway have discovered a wealth of items that include weapons and shoes among other everyday items. The find is believed to be from thousands of years ago, well before Vikings roamed the area.

As glaciers continue to melt and ice retreats in areas around the world, archaeologists continue to discover new civilizations. As io9 points out, last summer a 10,000 year-old atlatl (a hunting weapon) was found as ice thawed.

Good find, Irish;
And I suppose the Global Warming Geeks would even begrudge us this discovery.

After all, everyone knows, you can never have enough weapons and shoes.

Good morning, sir,
Fred

Lol Fred.

What that will do is show that the Artic was not always as cold as we are told.

What can you say? Day by day, Global Warming Theory is being destroyed.

I personally cant wait to see what amazing bounties are revealed as the glaciers recede futher:) BUT i thought i read recentely in another thread here that the ice at both poles has actually increased over the last few years consistantly?

Hurritt;

Thanks for that. Love my Guinness saturday nights.

It sure will be really interesting to see what is pulled up from that. I cannot wait. Hurritt; you do not know what to believe anymore. There is that much dis-info coming out for every little thing that it is impossible to know.

I love Mayo, some of the best fishing in the country. Stunning, stunning place. Originally from Co Leitrim, now up North (thankfully).

Just an old shoe and an atlatl? Shoot, I was hoping they'd find a nazi flying saucer.

That is fascinating. Reminds me of that guy Bill and Kerry interviewed in Russia that talked about pyramids somewhere under the north pole.

I find it highly disturbing that folks here have chosen the same route as the mainstream in trashing the environmental movement, including climate change. Let's see the scientists that claim that it's bunk, show their faces to the same people they're preaching to.

That's just plain ignorance in lieu of the changes happening to this earth.

"That's just plain ignorance in lieu of the changes happening to this earth. "

It's not just the Earth. It's the entire solar system. It' s not man made. CO2 is vital to the balance of the planet. It's not some airy demon. Nothing wrong with being concerned about our environment, but the elitists have only newer and bigger global taxes in mind. They care nothing about the environment. Their greed is driving their 'global change' agenda, not concern.

Once again, what are they not telling us about what THEY REALLY FOUND.

I hope the CO2 IS rising!

This planet has been stripped of so much vegetation that it'll probably HELP the environment.

Guess what tomato growers pump into their giant greenhouses to help the plants grow? CARBON DIOXIDE!

I wonder how fast the freeze was for these items and if there is pollen and plantlife (microscopically) in the fibers/leather.. They say there are frozen wooly mammoths found with vegetation in their stomachs.. I wonder what size the foot was for the shoe they found.

Shoes look good! Concerning the ice:

http://stevengoddard.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/2010icegain.gif?w=500&h=502

What you see here is the ice of the North Pole with a thickness of more than 2 metres once on the 09/21/08 and then on the 09/21/10. The graphic pretty much speaks for itself.

The data original comes from "The Polar Ice Prediction System (PIPS)"http://www7320.nrlssc.navy.mil/pips2/index.html.

And the little animation is from http://de.babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&tt=url&intl=1&fr=bf-home&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Falles-schallundrauch.blogspot.com%2F2010%2F09%2Fdas-nordpoleis-schmilzt-uns-nicht-weg.html&lp=de_en&btnTrUrl=%C3%9Cbersetzen.

Many Don't want to acknowledge what this is showing. Of course those people have a very specific agenda.
