some of those EMV's and spaceships are HUGE ... example it would take a jumbo jet flying 500mph 1,000 years to orbit the Sun one time ...

Good try Ghostrider! Actually it would take a jet flying at 500MPH 226 days or roughly 7 and a half months to orbit the Sun about a mile high orbit. The sun is 870,000 miles in diameter and if you multiply that by pi about 3.14 the circumference is around 2,713,406 miles. Remember Pluto is 3.67 billions of miles away from the sun and it takes 248 years to orbit the sun.

They do Sir. Maybe the light that emanates from them creates a bigger impression of what size they really are. James Horak has a lot to say about these EMV's. He is very interesting. Worth seeing or hearing a few of his vids.

If anyone is interested in some arithmetic about the Earth and the Sun. The Earth is on average about 93 million miles from the sun. Now to do some easy calculation here that 93 million miles is the Radius of our orbit round the Sun. Now take the radius of our orbit of 93 million and multiply it by 2 and then 3.142 which is pi. We get 584,400,000 miles which is 584.4 million miles in 1 year. If we divide that by 8766 hours in a year we get 66,666 MPH. This means the Earth is whizzing through space at 66 thousand 666 MPH and that is not all. These calculations would be close if the Sun was sitting in space not moving. It is moving around the Milky Way arm at an incredible speed also. So this calculation does not take into consideration the Earth whizzing in a corkscrew motion around the Sun and along with it around the Milky Way Galaxy. The mind boggles doesn't it. When we look up at the sky we don't seem to be moving at all.
