bogeyman

It seems this is a first hand account with what may be termed the Mothman.
to quote:
"1993 I was stationed in Okinawa while with C company 3rd AABN, USMC. I was on guard duty at camp Schwab on what we called the ramp, its where all the amtracks and lavs were stored in nice little rows. I was the only one there, at about 0130 hrs I was chilling out on a bench I dragged over in front of the maintenance bay door. The building was large, and had bay doors facing the tracks. I was sitting on the bench to the far left of the front of the building as you were looking at it. To my right around the corner I heard a loud noise, a bang as if something had fallen, and animal noises. I stood up and walked around the corner only to see a cat, dark colored, running so fast I don't think it was touching the ground. Its hair was standing straight up on its back and it was making a horrid noise, as if it was choking. As the cat ran by, it felt like time itself stopped. In what seemed like slow motion, I looked up to the right, cat was running to my left. In front of me, about 20 feet was a black figure. So black that it wasn't even black, it was something else but black is all I have to describe it. Imagine a smoke cloud, blacker then black in the general form of a person, with an outline shape of a head, and arms but a solid body. I don't think there were "legs" I don't remember that and I remember every breath I took that night like it just happened a minute ago.
I stood frozen staring at it, I could feel the breath being pulled from the bottom of my lungs out my mouth, like I was sucked into a vacuum. There was two very bright reddish eyes but not a normal red. The color was off, not like any red I have ever seen just like I can not describe the blackness properly of the body. I was totally and completely paralyzed, and could not move for what seemed an extremely long time. I was frozen staring at it, locked in place, it staring back at me. And then, it was gone and I had fallen to my knees, and was trying to breath. I dropped my riffle, ripped by LBV and flak jacket off and threw my helmet off. I remember rolling around on the ground in extreme pain, over my entire body. As fast as the pain came, it was gone. It took me 2 hours to finally catch my breath.
After that I did everything I could to never get that post again, and I didn't tell anyone what happened. Figured they wouldn't believe me anyway. so there you go, my own experience. Thanks for reading.
to me that night whatever it was in front of me was pure evil. There was nothing good about it. "
