Since I moved down to Kent eighteen months ago I've seen a LOT of activity in the skies, most of it explainable to my conditioned scientific, logical brain as shooting stars, comets, meteors and light refraction. Last night, for only the second time in my life I was made to feel very special by something not of this earth.
I have to take the kids to school right now but I'm coming back to post this experience in about an hour. In the meantime did anyone in South East England see the amazing abundance of activity last night just before and after midnight?!?! Please speak up if so!
I shall return :-)

I was stood in my back garden supping on mass produced alcoholic poison and inhaling carcinogenic matter through a corporate paper stick (as one does) when a ball of white light appeared instantly above my head (i know......yawn yawn). It was very large and changed colour too fast to keep up with, hovering in the same spot then it zoomed off just about slow enough for my eyes to follow it to the south east......
It appeared again instantly in a diffferent place, far away from the direction it shot off in, seemingly random. Then there were two. Then there were a few, constantly whizzing around and changing colour. Then there were tiny versions around me in my garden which would speed into nothingness if I looked directly at them. The larger ones in the sky seemed to wait to be seen and then fly off only to reappear again like a naughty playfull puppy.
I have NO IDEA what these were, but I've seen them before recently. I don't want to over sentimentalise this experience nor conclude it. All I do know is the massive sense of contentment, happiness and purpose they filled me with last night. And this morning I feel like a new man.
If anyone can shed any light (pun very much intended) on this experience or share any of their own.......even speculate go for it!
And on a serious note, if anyone knows of any ways to encourage these experiences [no lsd!] to happen more often please share (feel free to pm).

Didn't look outside (here in West Kent) last night - stupid me - but could feel the energy fizzing in the day. Few weeks ago saw big moving flash of light - and did feel that contentment/excitement. Saw quite a bit last year as had space to just lie on back and look at sky (even teenage son did it), but have moved house since and those damn sensor lights!
