Activity is up and aftershocks in California's 6.9 quake as predicted by Dutchsinse I think or the one Wind posted about in the previous earthquake thread.

I wondered if the recent asteroid passage disrupted the grav field some?
http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2013/02/recent-asteroids-and-meteors-may-cause-earthquakes-2568664.html
“As asteroids move through space, they slowly turn dark-red. This phenomenon, called ‘space weathering’, is caused by long exposure to cosmic rays and solar radiation.
For decades, however, we have known about a handful of small asteroids that looked [light and fresh]; they were not space weathered.”
Calculating the orbits of the non-weathered asteroids, Binzel and colleagues discovered they had all had close encounters with Earth in the past million years.
“We believe they were ‘shaken up’ by their encounters with Earth,” he said.
“Gravitational forces during the flybys can stretch, rattle, and torque these asteroids, causing dark, space-weathered material on the surface to be overturned, revealing the fresh stuff underneath.”
Unlike on Earth, there is no Richter scale for asteroids. Instead, Binzel measures the force of the quakes in units of gravitational acceleration, or gees.
“These asteroids experience [seismic activity] in the milli- to micro-g range,” Binzel said.
“That might not sound like much, but remember these are small bodies. Gravity is not very strong, so just a little shaking or stretching goes a long way.”
Binzel believed an asteroid floating beside an asteroid experiencing such a quake would see the surface “slowly sway or rock by a few centimetres”.
“Other things to look for would be puffs of asteroid-dust rising from the surface and gentle avalanches on the steepest slopes of craters.”
MIT post-doctorate Nick Moskovitz, who works with Binzel, is coordinating observations with worldwide observatories, including New Zealand’s Mt John Observatory, to determine the colour spin, shape, and reflectivity of 2012 DA14 as it passes by. Changes in any of these quantities might be a sign of a quake.
“We stand to learn a lot from the observations,” Binzel said.

Hmm
We know that comets interact with the sun -- asteroids aren't going as fast and carry less charge, I am certain,
but can't they also interfere with the very delicate balance of a small planet like ours?
Sort of like metal in the microwave, so to speak ;)

I see this is the Bismarck sea and already posted. Oops.
Comets confuse me. I see a connection with the gravity and the moon. Strong enough to pull oceans and create tides but comets are so little. Eclipses line up in the same plane and a can see how/why the gravity affects can add up there. Comets outside the plane so maybe the pull is different but I can't see how. Yet the connections keeps popping up.
I think we are in a zone. March is active already.
I have spent time thinking about what to do other than warn people to run if we are able to predict them. I have a couple of don'ts and possible dos.
Don't nuke it. A plot of several B rated movies it will make it worse. North Korea set off a nuclear test in 2004 I think and Japan claims it triggered an earthquake there immediately afterwards. Don't nuke it.
Don't throw a hurricane at it. A category 5 in 2005 passed over a fault line in the Carribean triggering a quake right there, I think magnitude 5.
Don't send negativity at it. Just before the 2004 quake, I predicted a killer quake, middle East. A friend of mine introduced me to a Colombian Shaman who said demons were in the Earth and we were to send the negativity back to them. I had already discovered old teachings, lots of them that said to send positive energy not negative. Nevertheless, such opportunities are rare and I had days, so it involved ashes being flung and spinning etc. That quake had terrible casualties in Iran, some of the worst in a long time. I think it did not work. Should have stuck to my instincts. And research. Just after that we got the 2004 Sumatra one. 2004
Many rituals I have not tried. Lots have sacrifices involved. More rituals than I thought there would be.
Do send positive energy. I have had little opportunities to pursue this like I should. Earthquakes is a hobby.
Do make it rain. Not a lot on this but Greeks and Egyptians both noted this. Rainmaking is an old art and they felt making it rain helped make earthquakes less. I had data on was it Italy? Where snow hampered help efforts, so snow is a no no. Must be rain.
The movement of the plates etc. we are learning more and more. Volcanology has had less restrictive thoughts and rigidity than the earthquake progress. It's held back. The only predictive thought was the formula for wave propagation in a fluid, since the earth has a fluid core. That's it. We know a lot more about convections currents and plate tectonics yet we seem stagnant here.
I ran stats and found a pattern with earthquakes pairing up. Back when I first started, then it was magnitude 5 and occasionally 6, now it's 6,7 and 8s, occasionally magnitude 9s. If you got one quake then another quake would happen about 1/3 of the planet away and within +or- 0.5 magnitude of the first quake. Within 1-3 days. It's a rough estimate based on plates shifting against each other. It has helped me to predict only a few quakes. Still. I am combining science and psychic.
It also came in a Dream a had where I was under the water looking up to see boats floating above me. They were anchored and a bunch were floating next to each other. Then one boat bumped into the boat next to it. One plate bumps into the next pushing it along and building pressure down the fault lines to he next plate over.
I'm so glad others have really gone ahead anyway and found connections to the sun which starts the system and the plates to move. Way more sophisticated than my simple formula.
