I know this happens everyday somewhere in the world and with social media
and in this case police cam, these tragic icidents happen especially in societies
where the gun is a way of life, and most police officers put their life on the line
to serve their communities. But there is far to many of these events where an incident
escalates into a tragedy. On the face of it this seems ridiculous we do not know
what went on before but , the defendant posed no threat to the police in
this vid though agitated and holding a small knife, there was no need to murder
him. A shot in the legs though again extreme would be preferable to body shots.
Unless the officer was in a hurry to get this over and done with and go home.
They were also armed to the teeth with in one shot while the victim lies dead
you see three rifle type weapons pointing at the corpse really chilling!!!

I don't like posting this type of vid ,but it seems to be a symptom of how society is
going especially in the states with a vast prison population and homelessness on
the rise.

There are load of examples where policing has gone to far with tragic results
on both sides of the law ........

‘Police Chief Gorden Eden insists that the use of lethal force against a homeless man in
the foothills was justified because the officers had no choice.

The homeless victim in the video, 38-year-old James M. Boyd, was being served a $10
citation for camping in the foothills when he was killed by police last Sunday.

The two officers who fired shots, Keith Sandy and Dominique Perez, remain on paid
leave.’

Autopsy shows Texas cop fired fatal shot from close range into sarcastic student’s back

‘A Texas college student likely died from a gunshot wound to his back after making a
sarcastic remark to the campus police officer who killed him.

Autopsy results show 23-year-old Cameron Redus was shot five times at close range by
Cpl. Christopher Carter, a University of Incarnate Word police officer, during an early
morning Dec. 6 traffic stop near the San Antonio campus.

KENS-TV reported that the autopsy performed the following day showed Redus, a
student at the private Catholic university, was shot in the back, left eye, upper chest,
left elbow, and right hip.

While the locations of the five shots had been previously known, autopsy results
released Thursday to the TV news station revealed new details.’

‘An autopsy report released Friday confirms a Cheyenne and Arapaho man was shot
seven times in a confrontation with deputies at his Clinton home on Dec. 21.

Mah-hi-vist Goodblanket, 18, had gunshot wounds on his head, chest, abdomen and
right arm, according to a report by the office of the chief medical examiner. All the
bullets recovered were similar .45-caliber hollow-point. His death was ruled a homicide.

Custer County District Attorney Dennis Smith said his office will announce its decision

SO IT TAKES THREE MEN WITH GUNS TO SUBDUE ONE MAN WITH A KNIFE ??? good thing he didn't have a pistol , they would have shot him with a tank , and used drones for backup instead of a dog ... these guys are supposed to be trained ... being homeless and camping in America can get you killed ... don't worry about wild animals or criminals , watch out for the police ... I guess it's in the training manual , if a homeless man doesn't comply , shoot him ... is it a crime to camp in the woods when your homeless ???

Of course it's a crime to camp/live in the woods. the precious government owns it.. Cops arent there there to protect anyone but themselves. They only serve the system and it's money greed. They're only job now a days is to issue as many fines as possible. I'd take my chances with wilds animals then cops..

People need to start putting cops under citizens arrest, tho I'm sure it'll get them shot for touching/assaulting a cop which means the only other choice is shooting them.

thats why they want to remove the guns so you dont have that option pyriel. Just like the UK ... obedience is inprinted in the public mentality.

Noone resists beside protesting and then its all controlled. If it becomes too big its shutdown by force.

Obey or hurt/die slaves.

If you watch from 1:21 to 1:36, you will see that the man moves, obviously from great stress of being shot, an "officer" comes into the center of the group, and with a pump shotgun, puts 3 more shots... into the mans "back". They then turn the dog loose on him, and then handcuff him. All for failure to comply on a $10 camping violation. That officer should go to prison. They all should. If these cops have that much fear, over a man with a knife. They should NOT be cops.

I've been homeless before and this story makes me furious.
From the jail window in the women's area in Seattle you can sometimes see the homeless camps on I-5.

Imagine if one morning the SPD just decided to go shoot a few of them?
They have computers and would blog about it, that's the difference!

People need to speak out against this organized violence against the poor!!

The pump shotgun actually fires a less than lethal bean bag round which could have been used before the lethal ones.
Sometimes a tazer/pepper spray/bean bag round isn't enough to satisfy these psycho cops blood lust. Most cops don't get to use their weapon in the line of duty so they have to use every excuse they can to play john wayne with all their toys.

More Americans Killed By Police Than By Terrorists: With Crime Down, Why Is Police Aggression Up?

Monday 24th March 2014 at 04:18 By David Icke

http://www.davidicke.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/screen_shot_2014-03-20_at_10.02.29_am.png

‘You might not know it from watching TV news, but FBI statistics show that crime in
the U.S.—including violent crime—has been trending steadily downward for years,
falling 19% between 1987 and 2011. The job of being a police officer has become
safer too,as the number of police killed by gunfire plunged to 33 last year, down
50% from 2012,to its lowest level since, wait for it, 1887, a time when the
population was 75% lower than it is today.

So why are we seeing an ever increasing militarization of policing across the country?’

Given the good news on crime, what are we to make of a report by the Justice
Policy Institute, a not-for-profit justice reform group, showing that state and local
spending on police has soared from $40 billion in 1982 to more than $100 billion in
2012. Adding in federal spending on law enforcement, including the FBI, Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms, the Drug Enforcement Agency and much of the Homeland
Security Department budget, as well as federal grants to state and local law
enforcement more than doubles that total. A lot of that money is simply pay and
benefits. The federal Bureau of Justice Statistics reports that the ranks of state and
local law enforcement personnel alone swelled from 603,000 to 794,000 between
1992 and 2010. That’s about two-thirds as many men and women as the entire
active-duty US military.

What these statistics make clear is that policing in America is ramping up even as
the crime rate is falling.

To the advocates of militarized policing, this just proves that more and better-
armed cops are the answer to keeping the peace. But former corrections officer Ted
Kirkpatrick, like many experts in the field, warns against jumping to this
conclusion: “Police will of course say crime is down because of them,” he tells
WhoWhatWhy, “but they have a vested interest in saying that.”

Kirkpatrick has the credentials and training to look beyond statistics and simplistic
answers to the underlying social forces at work here. In addition to his years of law
enforcement experience, he is a homicide expert in the Department of Clinical
Sociology at the University of New Hampshire, and Co-Director of the university’s
Justiceworks program, a think-tank specializing in law enforcement and justice issues.

“When something goes sour, like an increase in crime,” Kirkpatrick says, “everyone
looks for a way to explain why. Yet when things go well, like this long-term fall in
the crime rate, nobody bothers to look at why.”

Surprising Reasons for Drop in Crime Rate

Militarized “pro-active” policing may have had some effect on the drop in crimes in
the US. But Kirkpatrick says, “I don’t think it’s the big thing.” Crime is down even in
many cities where police forces have been cut for budget reasons, and experts
agree that the decline in crime began before the militarization of policing really
started to take off.

Other factors likely play a bigger role. One is increased immigration since, contrary
to common belief, communities with greater numbers of immigrant families show
the biggest drops in crime thanks to those families’ “stronger social fabric.” Another
factor is an aging population—older people commit fewer violent crimes.

So what’s behind the push to put more police on our streets, with ever more
impressive military equipment, while training them to behave like occupying troops
in Iraq or Afghanistan?

One might assume that the militarization of American law enforcement began after
the national trauma of 9/11. But, in fact, its roots go back decades earlier, when
media stories in the 1970s created the impression that the nation was awash in
illegal drugs.
