I am surprised nobody has posted this story yet. Looks like more purging to me as WWIII is becoming more and more a desperate plan by the PTB.

Nine nuclear base commanders fired from US Air Force over cheating scandal (http://rt.com/usa/air-force-nine-fired-697/)

The United States Air Force says it has taken unprecedented action by firing nine nuclear missile base commanders on Thursday amid an ongoing and exhaustive investigation surrounding allegations of cheating.

Dozens of additional employees described as junior officers at those bases will be disciplined as well, the Associated Press reported first on Thursday afternoon, and will join an ever-expanding list of Air Force personnel who have been reprimanded in recent months as part of an embarrassing scandal that has increasingly generated criticism directed at the Pentagon’s nuke program.

But although the Air Force has taken action already in recent months amid reports that missile base personnel cheated on critical military examinations, the AP says officials describe the latest round of terminations as being “unprecedented in the history of the intercontinental ballistic missile force.”

“None of the nine fired commanders was directly involved in the cheating, but each was determined to have failed in his or her leadership responsibilities,” Robert Burns wrote for the AP.

According to Burns, a defense official who spoke on condition of anonymity told the AP that Air Force investigators believe the cheating scandal started as early as November 2011 and continued for two years.

“It involved unauthorized passing of answers to exams designed to test missile launch officers' proficiency in handling ‘emergency war orders,’ which are messages involving the targeting and launching of missiles,” Burns learned from his confidential source.

This past January, the Air Force said that 34 missile launch officers were implicated in the cheating scandal and stripped of their security clearances, though they may not have necessarily faked their way through their own exams. According to the AP’s latest however, upwards of 100 missile launch crew members from a single facility — the Malmstrom Air Force Base in the state of Montana — were at one point or another linked to the scandal.

“Some officers did it. Others apparently knew about it, and it appears that they did nothing, or at least not enough, to stop it or to report it," Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James said at a news conference earlier this year.

Now two months later, on Thursday the Air Force reportedly took action against a number of officials linked to the scandal by investigators, including Col. Robert Stanley, the commander of the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom.

Stanley was allowed to resign, the AP reported, but nine key commanders below him were removed from the Air Force, including the commanders of the 341st Wing's three missile squadrons, according to Burns, “each of which is responsible for 50 Minuteman three nuclear missiles.”

“Also sacked were the commander and deputy commander of the 341st Operations Group, which oversees all three missile squadrons as well as a helicopter unit and a support squadron responsible for administering monthly proficiency tests to Malmstrom's launch crews and evaluating their performance,” Burns claimed. Members of all three missile squadrons were implicated, he added, although no generals were formally punished.

This week’s news is only the latest to stir up the Air Force’s nuke unit, which for months now has repeatedly come under fire due to a barrage of incidents. The Pentagon removed 17 of its officers from a base in North Dakota last year following a poor inspection rating, and last October it was reported that two US missile technicians assigned with launch keys were discovered repeatedly leaving a blast door open while sleeping on base.

Fired although not directly involved...hmmm. From Malmstrom AFB in Montana.

As Spock would say, "Highly irregular, Captain."

Cheating allegations first emerged during investigations into alleged drug use by personnel at other bases.

In the wake of the revelations, the Air Force announced the entire team at the base would be re-tested.

Nine fired in US nuclear force cheating scandal

Colonel Robert Stanley in an undated photo Col Robert Stanley, Malmstrom Air
Force Base's 341st Missile Wing, is said to have resigned his post in the wake of the
cheating scandal

The US Air Force has sacked nine mid-level nuclear commanders and will discipline
dozens more in a test cheating scandal, officials have said.

Nearly one in five of the Air Force's nuclear missile officers have been implicated in
a ring of cheating on monthly proficiency tests.

Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James has said the nuclear force is suffering
from "systemic problems".

A series of programmes to improve leadership are also said to be planned.

None of the fired commanders is directly involved in the alleged cheating. Each was
instead determined to have failed in leadership responsibility.

US nuclear programme scandals
October 2013 - Maj Gen Michael Carey, a two-star general in the 20th Air Force, is
sacked after accusations of drunken misconduct

October 2013 - US Navy Vice-Adm Tim Giardina is removed as deputy head of US
Strategic Command and investigated for illegal gambling

August 2013 - the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom Air Force Base fails a safety
test, and its commander is relieved of duty

May 2013 - The US Air Force temporarily strips 17 officers at Minot base in North
Dakota of their nuclear watch authority following a poor grade in a missile launch test.

October 2007 - The air force relieves several officers of their duties after a B-52
bomber was mistakenly flown across the US loaded with nuclear-armed missiles

In addition to the nine officers sacked, the senior commander of Malmstrom Air
Force Base's 341st Missile Wing, Col Robert Stanley, was allowed to resign.

Commanders of the 341st Wing's three missile squadrons - each of whom is
responsible for three nuclear missiles - were also fired, the Associated Press news
agency reports.

Ninety-one missile launch crew members at Malmstrom have thus far been
implicated in the cheating scandal, including more than 40 who face disciplinary
action that may include dismissal.

It is the latest scandal to hit the US Air Force and nuclear missile force.

Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel had previously ordered a high-level review of the
US nuclear forces, saying he was "deeply concerned" about morale and discipline
among nuclear officers, while insisting that US nuclear arms were safe.

The Day Approaches

The word on the street today is "military coup". If you go into Starbucks, keep your ears open for those words. People are talking about it.

The NBC channel is reporting that US nuclear command is undergoing a total shakedown, as TWO commanders with nuclear responsibility are fired in a single WEEK.

Air Force general in charge of nuclear weapons removed for lack of trust: defense officials

Air Force officials said Maj. Gen. Michael Carey was fired for “personal misbehavior” while on temporary duty at an unspecified location outside his usual command. The officials would not describe the behavior, other than to say that it did not involve any sexual improprieties, drug use, gambling, or criminal conduct.

...

It is the second firing of a top-ranking commander with authority over nuclear weapons in the past week. Navy Vice Adm. Tim Giardina was demoted to the from the three-star rank to two and relieved of his post as second in command of U.S. nuclear forces at U.S. Strategic Command amidst a gambling investigation, the Associated Press reported.

Vice Adm. Tim Giardina Fired as No. 2 Nuclear Commander
Oct. 9, 2013

The No. 2 officer at U.S. Strategic Command has been relieved of command by President Obama because of a "loss of confidence" in his abilities to carry out his post.

Vice Adm. Tim Giardina has been the focus of a criminal investigation looking into his suspected use of counterfeit gambling chips in a poker game at a western Iowa casino.

StratCom commander Gen. Robert Kehler suspended Giardina from his duties as deputy commander on Sept. 3 and recommended to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel that he be relieved from his post. Kehler's moves were guided by preliminary information he had received from investigations of Giardina's alleged activities.

Please pray for our country, that we maintain our national sovereignty and safety. No matter what kinds of weapons have been proliferated and/or lost, it still takes a human decision to use them. Please pray that God, Source, ET, higher power, ancestors, anyone that listens -- pray that the world refrains from the use and proliferation of nuclear warheads. I couldn't stop thinking about nukes a couple years ago, and part of my message on my personal website was that we would soon, not in the future, but SOON come to regret our support of nuclear weapons as a nation. It's sad to think that petty people with petty problems would be rewarded with control over the most crucial resource in America at present, nuclear power. But even more so, that over such petty problems, control would change hands.

Something big is going down.

Trinity was the code name of the first detonation of a nuclear device, conducted by the United States Army on July 16, 1945 as a result of the Manhattan Project,[5][6][7][8][9] in the Jornada del Muerto desert about 35 miles (56 km) southeast of Socorro, New Mexico, at the new White Sands Proving Ground, which incorporated the Alamogordo Bombing and Gunnery Range. (The site is now the White Sands Missile Range.)[10][11] Trinity used an implosion-design plutonium device, informally nicknamed "The Gadget".[12] Using the same conceptual design, the Fat Man device was detonated over Nagasaki, Japan, on August 9, 1945. The Trinity detonation produced the explosive power of about 20 kilotons of TNT (84 TJ).

Although nuclear chain reactions had been hypothesized in 1933 and the first artificial self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction (Chicago Pile-1 or CP-1) had taken place in December 1942,[13] the date of the Trinity test is usually considered to be the beginning of the Atomic Age.[14]

it's very frightening, honestly.
what if the country destabilizes and no one in charge knows what to do?
:P

rogue states etc.
who knows what's going on?
if this happened in a corporation people would say FOUL!

p.s. what was the film about this scenario? where a war game with russia went sour and no one but a computer jockey knew how to defuse the situation?

p.s. what was the film about this scenario? where a war game with russia went sour and no one but a computer jockey knew how to defuse the situation?"War Games". A super-computer was installed to take over the launching of the nuclear missiles instead of having humans do the launching. (Humans ask questions, and may not launch when ordered). Anyway, the computer takes over and starts a global war simulation. It then tries to start a real nuclear war. And of course, nobody knows how to put a stop to the computer.

Gordon Duff gave another reason for the purges in the military during his interview on the Mike Harris show last year on 14th August

Here, I've put a transcript on pastebin to save space here

Extract:
Why should someone religious, a Christian, want to steal nuclear weapons and bring on the apocalypse?
It's the religion we call Dominionism, Dispensationalism, people who believe in the rapture.....

We are trying to bring together why 40% of the people overseeing America's nuclear arsenal; most of whom had gone to school at the air force academy in Colorado Springs.
A place plagued with rape, certainly physical threats of the most bizarre religious extremism of any kind; that was what was going on there.
We would head back here into the 1980s, at a military base named Presidio ....

Why religion is being spoken of just now?
A good friend of mine who's involved in security for a friendly government, got to meet one of the sons of a very famous, very, very powerful family
One that would come to mind, not Rockefeller but something just as well known, or better known...
This young man was 25 years old and he was being taken to an investiture, where he was going to be introduced to the demon that was intended to protect him during his life.
What he was being offered - and you can read much of this or get videos on Youtube between Art Bell and Malachi Martin
We'll call them non-corporeal entities
I'm not a religious person
If you're a Muslim, you can call them jinns, genies
You can call them angels if you want - bad angels, good angels, evil demons, whatever
Non-corporeal entities that feed off relationships with human beings, form partnerships with powerful individuals and was described to me, by people within our security apparatus, that there are non-corporeal entities that could be defined as a form of alien life form or not, ....... that deal with human beings, particularly that are what we would call the elite; the 1%.....

Why would 40% of our nuclear weapons officers suddenly turn out to be bumbling morons?
They're not bumbling morons.
They're among the brightest people in the US
However, they belong to an organisation that is run by a lot of extremely despicable people and .... the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has set up a task force and that thousands of officers are resigning.
And it can't happen quickly enough
All the people talking about this are saying they're all patriots and they can't stand working for people who respect humanity.
And where do they come from?
What are they?
I can tell you what they are.
They are all Satan worshippers

Air Force has been dirty at least since the 60's. They did a lot of smuggling during the Viet Nam war. They did a lot of drug smuggling for the cabal puppets in the Iran Contra fiasco. To this day the AF is dirty and needs to be dismantled. Same game different faces. IMHO

Peace!

LOL... Wargames!!! (and peeyewww!.... LOL)

The fact is .... IT IS A CORPORATION... AND PEOPLE ARE SAYING FOUL... This is the Russian argument.... the West is the hypocrite here no question, when it suits their purpose, It's all corporate policy, and they just crush their own "citizens" under their boot, and now essentially some right wing Nazis have literally taken over the corporate offices, and set up shop... It doesn't matter how unpopular whatzis name was (Yanukovich?) He is the president of a corporation, And if you want to vote him out, you vote him out... But you can't just storm the HQ of another company and declare yourself President... this is an embarrassing joke and exposure of things hitherto hidden... That is why Putin went in, because he KNEW no one except military force would stop him... the West turned it into a free for all, and we all know how that works, I don't wonder if the West saw Putin's blitzkrieg takeover coming... To me this looks like two corporations just ripping apart another corporation in a hostile takeover...

Even now you hear "conciliatory gestures on both sides about working together.... for Ukraine's best interests... LOLOL or that it isn't an either or scenario.... move along folks, you're just witnessing what a hostile corporate take over looks like on a national scale... Not to worry, just business as usual.

And the saddest part is how the Ukrainian people divided themselves against themselves... played right into it...

Chances are the elite have known about it all along also but it is necessary and convenient to go ahead and screw all of them. I mean its one way to get out of paying pensions or full pensions I guess, at least once court martial procedures and or demotions are are settled. It will certainly change the retirement plans of all of them lets just put it that way. Considering that the last rank has to be maintained for three years to be paid for it in retirement a demotion will cut pay by more than if active duty. So a General demoted to Col. would change a lot. A Col. demoted to LtCol or a Lt. Col demoted to Major not only changes pay grade it means when the next cycle comes for promotions and they get that rank they lost back that they now have to keep that new rank for three years to get full retirement at that pay grade. If they only have the rank of whatever they were promoted to for a year then the last three years averages out for two ranks changing the amount they pay you. The higher your rank the bigger the pain to your wallet. The other factor is time in service. For those planning to retire after 30 years it is unlikely they'll ever be allowed to achieve it if they receive a demotion and reprimand this late. They are usually forced out as my father was at like 28 years so they don't have to pay you the difference in retirement the 30 year mark makes. When they start hurting for money and especially after 6 billion disappeared here lately well, they will take it from wherever they need it and nickel and dime their way off each one of us if they have to. It may prevent some of the base commanders from ever getting their retirement at all. Time will tell. That would be a lot of $.
