The greatest means of control is not actualized through military might, physical subjugation, or brute force. The greatest means of control is actualized through the manipulation of the psychological condition of the human species. ~ Lenon Honor

This man, I credit, helped (helps) my awareness. I have always found value in his message.

In a way, a sizable chunk of alt media is actually worse about perpetuating fear. A different kind though. A deeper, less directly tangible fear. Often, fear of things which are unseen.

This serves to dis-empower the individual who buys into it, and alienate them from their peers, neighbors, and community.

He does touch on that point in this presentation. often times the alt media source is the mainstream media. I do agree that a lot of the alternative media is used as a trap and to drive a wedge between people and those that they care about (or those that care about them).

You make an excellent and valid point. Thank you for adding to the conversation.

Haven't watched the video yet, but the comment that leapt into my mind immediately is: Fear sells. There's no money in happy, healthy people. Fear porn is as old as mankind. It's never been necessary to live in fear. The majority of our fears never come to pass, and it has always been possible to simply walk away from fear. When you do, you're much, much harder to control.

Maybe fear is the wrong word. I think of fear as my response to a mugging or a bear about to eat me. What our media encourage isn't that kind of fear. What they seek to infect us with is dread. Dread is the hopeless feeling that something bad is bound to happen. Dread locks out the kind of thinking that assures us, if the worst happens we'll get by. Dread leaves us vulnerable to control. Let someone present himself as a daddy or a hero, and we'll tumble every time. It's been working for thousands of years.

Very simply
The Media is a reflection of our state of consciousness.
If we did not want it this way we would not buy it.
Progressively people are not watching or reading the extremes on the media.
I honestly believe there is a shift in the level of consciousness---slow but sure.

Everything evolves and we are an evolutionary species.

I'll second Chris' sentiment.
Humans are obsessed with fear, we all deny it yet we all live by it, decide by it, and die with it ... and thus, "fear sells"

The fact that we are all starting to noticing it, and question it among the masses far more than we did 50 years ago is a reflection that we are indeed evolving as Chris states.

I agree with Chris

But it would be good to have a TV media which would focus on good news

Perhaps that would break the psychological obsession with this fear media
