Police are hunting a group of Romanian thugs behind this shocking video that shows them grabbing an elderly woman and swinging her around as she screams in terror.

The video shows the young men standing outside a bar apparently in the village of Jilava, in the Romanian county of Ilfov, near the capital Bucharest.

They are speaking Romanian together in-between laughing as one of their number spins the terrified woman, who is wearing what appears to be a dressing gown, around in the street.

The video has been removed, but I'm actually relieved because watching someone do that to an older person is just heartbreaking. I don't understand some people. I struggle understanding a lot of people, but people like these, I have no words for.

I saw the video, which is widely available on yootoob, in various spots.

It was disgraceful, yes, and it should not have been done. At all.

There is no defense for this behavior. She could have suffered a heart attack, or muscular/skeletal injuries.

All that being noted: What was seen, was that even in this drunkeness, care was taken by this person to be sure they had a solid grip, and when she was put down, to be sure she was standing. It does not make it any less wrong to be doing, but I did not see the kind of or level of heartlessness/viciousness that I expected to see, going in.

Considering the age, physical condition, size and sex of this person, as the dominant factors, this is what makes it particularly problematic and difficult.

In reality, our kids suffer worse bullying than this in the school yard, every day. I know I did.
