Interesting, last thursday (October 14th 2010), "Canada became the first country in the world yesterday to declare bisphenol A (BPA) to be a toxic substance that poses risks to human health and the environment".

Thanks Renee for the link, hopefully, like you said, "grocery receipts will be included"...?, but I doubt it, it would required that they changed the machines, not to hopeful in the short run. But at lease, it is known...!
