Here is a description of the new book about the Rossi drama spanning the last 3-4 years. It was written by Swedish NyTeknik science journalist Mats Lewan, who has been knee-deep in this story for some time. He gives a very interesting interview in the link below. Not 100% sure if/when it will be available to American customers:

I liked this quote from the interview :

I was asked by my own colleagues the other day when I presented the book in the newsroom, those who knew less about the story, “why do you think that so few have been engaging in this?” And I think the easy answer is everyone is so afraid of having (I don’t know what you call it in English) — the ‘dumb hat’ or ‘fool hat’. People actually don’t dare to touch it.

Touchy, touchy...

As we know (and with Tesla in mind... who incidentally is translated in no less than 118 languages on Wikipedia), "the thing" has been "coming" for the last 100 years or so.

Patience.

I agree w/ Lewan's assessment that people are deathly afraid of looking foolish. I think that's why next to death, public speaking is the most pervasive fear amongst people. Again, even if something were shown to be wrong (one way or another), why do we have to slander one another over it?
