This seems to be getting closer to the view of conscoiusness shared by the alternative community, and at least recognizes that a purely materialistic view of matter doesn't explain awareness, sentience or intuition. So whether this proves out to be correct or not, I give full points for trying to grapple with this topic!

Well, they almost got it I guess. Consciousness is the substance of the universe, not matter! :-) But one day they'll realize consciousness, structure, and energy are the space that is alive because we are the space and matter is one of the many results of consciousness, not the other way around as they want to see it.

The article states:

The bold emphasis is the bit that peeves science and their financiers, the ability to "own" access to key aspects of consciousness. Just as science has claimed ownership of DNA through the macabre economic patent system.

It also states:

Which is absolute bollocks! IMHO

This is "normalising" science as the great benefactor to humanity, which is contrary to that which is practiced. To keep the global population retarded, they keep pumping "fish head" dross announcements as this into the public domain diminishing any prospects of truly understanding or developing a social culture of sovereign conscious engagement.

Consciousness is energy. Energy of the cosmos, nothing less.
Economics is Genocide. Economics destroys consciousness.

MIT depends on donations, share holders and subscribers for its work. It is in the interest of the Banksters to collapse the popular "consiousness" bubble that is sweeping the world. Radio waves, electromagnetic radiation and scalar energy warfare in our home environments is partly succeeding in keeping everyone dumb, they need to debunk any remaining spiritual advocates by "consciousness digitisation".
