This is it folks, we are sending 600 troops over to eastern Europe...

Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby said an initial contingent of about 600 troops will head to four countries across Eastern Europe for military exercises over the next month.

First, about 150 soldiers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team based in Vicenza, Italy, are arriving in Poland.

Additional Army companies will head to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and are expected to arrive by Monday for similar land-based exercises in those countries.

"This as a small step in the right direction," McKeon said. "By rearranging U.S. forces already deployed in Europe, the president is doing something, however incremental, to reassure our allies. It might have more deterrent value if he included the Ukrainian military in the exercises. It remains to be seen if this move of 600 troops comes in time to make an impression on the tens of thousands of Russian troops on Ukraine's borders."

Russia annexed Crimea, taking control of key port facilities on the Black Sea, and has been accused by U.S. officials of sending forces elsewhere into eastern Ukraine to destabilize the country.

The token presence of U.S. troops in Poland, a NATO ally bordering Ukraine, and the Baltic nations, also NATO allies, could not repel a Russian invasion or eject them from Ukraine. Russia has massed about 40,000 troops on Ukraine's eastern border.

"What would be very helpful is if they removed their forces off that border and took concrete actions to respect the sovereignty of Ukraine," said Kirby, the Pentagon's press secretary.

The presence of U.S. soldiers raises the stakes for Russia in Poland and the other countries if it moves against them militarily. Wounding or killing an American soldier there could risk a major war.

There are about 67,000 U.S. troops in Europe and 12,000 civilians, according to U.S. European Command. The Cold War peak was 400,000 troops, in 1955 and it dropped to about 100,000 several years ago.

This is happening faster than I thought... and with little media coverage so far, but I imagine this will change.

The Pentagon says what would be really helpful is if the Russian remove their troops from border areas. Well, what would be very helpful is if NATO and Americans remove their missiles from Russian borders areas, which have been put there in a very provocative fashion few years ago.

I really dislike this one sided rhetoric to brainswash us, from either side.

What also would be very helpful:

Restore freedom of press.
Remove all unconstitutional legislation that has been introduced since 9/11.
Impeach Obama and bring him to justice.
Remove all Neo-Conservatives from office and bring them to justice.
Seize all activities that involve destabilising foreign governments/nation building.

Personally, I believe the war will start around August September or certainly ramp to the opening conflicts then. There won't be a war in the full sense. It will be controlled extermination with extensive collaborative use of scalar energy weapons.

The telly will portray lots of "battlefield" action for the masses but the mass deaths will be by the invisible weapons.

This movement of troops is little more than cosmetic and certainly for political emphasis during this negotiating period. We can expect a lot of this info hitting our media during this build up, keep everyone petrified.

They want a winter war because that will sever gas and electrical supplies throughout EU. As for the US, well, somebody dropped the ball with the Canadian supplies for some unknown reason which decimated a third of US networks. You can expect more - compliments of the same EU banks that rule the US.

Who can really blame Russia and Putin, when NATO has absorbed the wall of Iron Curtain states? Belarus and Ukraine are the only two buffer states left. Centuries of invasions have overrun Russia. They live in a state of fear after 30 million of them have already been killed by the Sarmatians, Goths, Slavs, Huns, Avars, Khazars, Vikings, Mongols, Teutonic Knights, Lithuanians, Swedes, Poles, Cossacks, Japanese, Chinese, Germans, Italians, Americans, British, and God only knows who else! Moscow is tense.

Ukraine: Poland trained putchists two months in advance (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html)

by Thierry Meyssan

Lies have shorter and shorter legs. Two months after the change of regime in Kiev, the Polish press has disclosed the role of Donald Tusk’s government in preparing the coup. The new revelations belie Western discourse and demonstrate that the current interim government of Oleksandr Tourtchynov was imposed by NATO in violation of international law.

In his capacity as EU negotiator, Radosław Sikorski signed a crisis settlement agreement with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, in the evening of February 21, 2014. The following morning, the men he had secretly trained in Poland were about to take power.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This article is based on information obtained by the Polish opposition. I erroneously cited as my source the satirical weekly Nie, which published a pastiche mixing truths and non-truths. The data it provides needs to be verified.

In any case, the matter concerning the training of Pravy Sector members has in the meantime been brought before the Attorney General of Poland.
Thierry Meyssan, April 22, 2014.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Polish left-wing weekly Nie (No) published a startling witness account of the training given to the most violent of the EuroMaidan [1 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb1)] activists.

According to this source, in September 2013, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski invited 86 members of the Right Sector (Sector Pravy), allegedly in the context of a university exchange program. In reality, the guests were not students, and many were over 40. Contrary to their official schedule, they did not go to the Warsaw University of Technology, but headed instead for the police training center in Legionowo, an hour’s drive from the capital. There, they received four weeks of intensive training in crowd management, person recognition, combat tactics, command skills, behavior in crisis situations, protection against gases used by police, erecting barricades, and especially shooting, including the handling of sniper rifles.

Such training took place in September 2013, while the Maidan Square protests were allegedly triggered by a decree suspending preparations for the signing of the Ukraine-European Union Association Agreement, which was issued by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov on November 21, i.e. two months later.

The Polish weekly refers to photographs attesting to the training, which show the Ukrainians in Nazi uniforms alongside their Polish instructors in civilian clothing.

These revelations warrant a fresh look at the resolution adopted in early December 2013 by the Polish Parliament (Sejm), pledging its "total solidarity with Ukrainian citizens who, with strong determination, are showing the world their desire to achieve the full membership of their country in the European Union." Naturally, the MPs were not yet aware of their country’s involvement in the training of the very individuals who were planning - and ultimately achieved - a violent takeover of power.

This scandal illustrates the role assigned by NATO to Poland in Ukraine, analogous to the one entrusted to Turkey in Syria. The government of pro-European liberal Donald Tusk is fully committed to playing its role. Foreign Affairs Minister Radosław Sikorski - a journalist and former political refugee in the United Kingdom - was the mastermind behind Poland’s integration into NATO. As a member of the "Weimar Triangle", he was one of three EU representatives who brokered the 21 February 2014 agreement between President Viktor Yanukovych and the three main EuroMaidan leaders [2 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb2)]. Needless to say, the Ukrainian president was unaware of the Polish representative’s entanglement with the rioters. As for the Interior Minister and special services coordinator, Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz (the great grand-son of novelist Henryk Sienkiewicz, best known for Quo Vadis?), he co-founded the Office for State Protection (Urzd Ochrony Państwa), Poland’s current intelligence agency. He also co-created and served as vice-president of the Centre for Eastern Studies (Ośrodek Studiów Wschodnich), a national think-tank dealing with the situation in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, with particular emphasis on Ukraine and Turkey. It exerts a profound influence on the West’s perception of current events, through its agreements with Carnegie Foundation [3 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb3)].

During Yulia Tymoshenko’s government (2007-2010), the current interim president of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tourtchynov, had served as intelligence chief and deputy prime minister. He liaised at the time with the Poles Donald Tusk (already Prime Minister), Radosław Sikorski (then Defense Minister) and Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz (director of the private intelligence firm ASBS Othago).

To overthrow the government of its neighbor state, Poland resorted to Nazi activists in the same way that Turkey uses Al-Qaeda to overthrow the Syrian government. Not only is it not surprising to see the current Polish authorities rely on the grand-children of the Nazis that the CIA tucked into the NATO Gladio network to fight against the Soviet Union, but we should also be reminded of the controversy which broke out in the 2005 Polish presidential election, when journalist and MP Jacek Kurski revealed that Józef Tusk, the grandfather of Donald Tusk, had intentionally enrolled in the Wehrmacht. After denying the facts, the Prime Minister finally admitted that his grandfather had indeed served in the Nazi army, but claimed he had been forcefully conscripted after the annexation of Danzig. A recollection that speaks volumes about how Washington selects its agents in Eastern Europe.

In summary, Poland trained a mob of thugs to overthrow the democratically-elected president of Ukraine and pretended he was subscribing to an appeasement agreement with him on 21 February 2014, while his rioters were in the process of seizing power.

Moreover, there is no doubt that the coup was sponsored by the United States, as evidenced by the telephone conversation between Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Ambassador Geoffrey R. Pyatt [4 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb4)]. Similarly, it is clear that other NATO members, including Lithuania (in the past, Ukraine was dominated by the Polish-Lithuanian empire), and Israel in its capacity as a de facto member of its military command structure, took part in the coup [5 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb5)]. This arrangement suggests that NATO now runs a new Gladio network in Eastern Europe [6 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb6)]. In addition, following the coup, mercenaries working for Greystone Ltd., a subsidiary of Academi, were deployed in the country in coordination with the CIA [7 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb7)].

These facts radically modify the perception that we may have had of the coup of 22 February 2014. They undermine the arguments provided supplied to the press by the U.S. Department of State (points 3 and 5 of the factsheet dated March 5) [8 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb8)] and constitute an act of war under international law. Therefore, the arguments peddled by the West regarding the ensuing the events, including the accession of Crimea to the Russian Federation and the current uprisings in East and South Ukraine, are null and void.

MORE tense than traumatized Israeli's in their old age remembering the end of WW2. Russia lost lots of royalty and I don't think she'll go down w/out the most brutal of ways to make US WarCon'ers back down. I believe he'll hit every weapons depo around the world, and US warcowboys need to stop poking Russia, prodding every other country in the world, after the lies and deceit of the century. "911 inside job people& IRAQ WMD LIES" before the world on our "paid for media propaganda stations. Thank God there aren't so many idiots to continually hear rumors of pundits spouting wars, and then feigning as if they don't have their hands in it. They stir the hive w/a mop stick, swat it, and then hide behind the bigger powers/nations skirts of NATO.

Same game, just don't have the prosecutions yet. Starting w/every crooked corporate judge who attends KOCH meetings in swanky hotels in secluded resorts, like Bohemian grove. These sniveling political cowards, go in the dark of night behind closed doors slipping US "a mickey."

I'm focusing on the faux guys stirring up all the dust, are identified as the contracting snipers they are, and that both US, Ukraine, and Russia remove them all. They are facist and it would be like Hitler re-establishing another nation. It was why we destroyed the 3rd reich in WW2. Looks like the cells they stored in our intelligence agencies, have grown tentacles and choked our justice system for the people.

Time to lacerate the arms that embrace/enslave US.
Find the companies, and DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM FOR TWO YEARS, if they last that long. 8 quarters losing their MONEY fix, will shrivel their bravado.
Break their banks, so they can't buy elections.

Ukraine: Poland trained putchists two months in advance (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html)

by Thierry Meyssan

From what I've read it is sad but true, however not two months in advance. Some Polish alternative news says it was waaay earlier. And those trained people were not only Ukrainians, but from other Baltic states too.

The Polish left-wing weekly Nie (No) published a startling witness account of the training given to the most violent of the EuroMaidan [1 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article183373.html#nb1)] activists.

Sorry but Mr Meyssan needs to get his facts checked. The Nie paper has been established and is owned/run by Jerzy Urban (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerzy_Urban#Before_1989), who was a communist government spokesperson between August 1981 and April 1989. He always had his own agenda, he doesn't care about anything. You can read up on the net what kind of a sick and lying bastard he is, my point is just that basing anything on information from Nie is not a good idea. Some Polish alternative news sites are reporting training camps for young people from different CEE states as far as back in summer 2006.

But back to the topic. These troops are what current government really needed. You see, they really are trying to convince the public here in Poland, that we are a "full" NATO member, so we are protected against evil Putin (or whoever). Propaganda is heavy so I guess people are buying it. Ah stupidity :). During last peaceful years before WWII, Poland had at least:

Soviet–Polish Non-Aggression Pact (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet%E2%80%93Polish_Non-Aggression_Pact)
Anglo-Polish military alliance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Polish_military_alliance)
German–Polish Non-Aggression Pact (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German%E2%80%93Polish_Non-Aggression_Pact)

Yea, and where did it get us? Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yalta_Conference), to be sold to Stalin.

There are upcoming, several elections - first to the EU parliament. Ruling party plays Ukraine to show that they know how to do stuff, and they matter in the EU/NATO (Sikorski's actions get into mind + these American troops now). Opposing party plays Ukraine as incompetence of our government (no for German troops, in favor of USA soldiers), with a flavor of the Smolensk crash (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Polish_Air_Force_Tu-154_crash) ("there were explosions on board" -- "Russians did it"). Plain crazy.

I really wish that democracy was the true essence of America right now because if it were, I imagine we would not be involving ourselves in this.

It looks like modern world's democracy is what brought us all into this mess in the first place. Democracy everywhere. But first, lets do several years of war. War is good for business, and it seems like the US + several other powers are kinda bankrupt.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ukraine/10787281/Ukraine-helicopter-hit-by-grenade-taking-off.html

Ukraine is saying that Russia wants to start WWIII.

A Ukrainian military helicopter exploded at a base near the eastern town of Kramatorsk on Friday after being hit by a rocket-propelled grenade, officials in Kiev said. The helicopter was hit in the fuel tank and exploded.
"An army Mi-8 helicopter has exploded at the Kramatorsk aerodrome," the defence ministry in Kiev said in a statement.
The chopper was on the ground when it was targeted and that the pilot managed to escape but sustained injuries.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Ukraine's prime minister, accused Russia of wanting to start "a third world war" and called for for international help against "Russian aggression" after it emerged that Russian troops were on exercises less than a mile from the border.
"The aggressive efforts of the Russian military on Ukraine's soil will lead to a conflict on European soil," he said in a televised cabinet meeting. "Russia's support for the terrorists in Ukraine constitutes an international crime and we call on the international community to unite against the Russian aggression."

Latvia welcomed American troops on its soil, part of a US force of 600 sent to the region to reassure the Baltic states amid concern over Russia's actions in Ukraine.
"Today is a special day because this morning I met the heads of the armed forces at the Adazi military base and greeted the US military unit that arrived this morning for military training," Laimdota Straujuma, the prime minister said.
Some 150 troops from the 173rd Airborne Brigade will be based at the Adazi base near capital Riga until at least the end of the year, according to the Latvian defence ministry.
Another company of soldiers arrived in Poland on Wednesday, while around 150 others are each expected in Lithuania on Saturday and Estonia early next week.
Kerry spoke hours after Putin warned Ukraine against continuing an anti-separatist offensive that killed five rebels. An accord on de-escalation signed April 17 by Ukraine, Russia, the European Union and the US is on the brink of collapse.

Seems that this is heating up to be what we have all been expecting.
