April 23, 2014

April 2014 began with a variety of sightings in the sky over Ontario including a bright light over Kingston, a round red object over Brampton and a possible cigar-shaped craft over Port Hope.

A light described as “brighter than Venus” was seen over Kingston, Ontario in the early morning of April 3, 2014. According to a Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) report, the circular light was seen hovering and then moving on a straight path at approximately 5:40 a.m.
The witness stated that that the object was seen toward the west and was totally silent. After watching for about two minutes, “it began to move” southeasterly.

“I worked in aviation for 6 years and am familiar with flight patterns of both rotary and fixed wing aircraft,” he noted. “At first I thought an aircraft with landing lights, but as the object started to move (southeast), the lights did not change as they would have if forward facing landing lights were the source. It was NOT a rotary wing craft as that would have been easily heard in the still morning air.”

The witness added that the object continued along the southeast course and then “faded from view.”

Red object

On April 6 at approximately 9:25 p.m., four people spotted a “round red object” in clear night sky over Brampton. According to a UFO Info report, the object was round with what looked like four pods on it. The witnesses noticed that it was “motionless at first but then started moving east in slow fashion.” It then accelerated "at a very high speed then come to a dead stop and reverse travel instantly.” The witnesses also saw lights on the craft that “appeared to brighten the faster it went.”

Cigar-shaped craft

A “brightly lit” cigar-shaped object was seen for about three minutes on April 9, 2014 at approximately 8:35 p.m. over Port Hope. According to a National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) report, Cathy Carlyle and her husband, Patrick Gray, were driving along Lakeshore Road when she saw the object “hovering near Lake.”

At first she thought it might be a star or a planet but “quickly realized that it was far too large and long, and bright for it to be that kind of object.” She then thought it might be a plane but realized that it was not moving.

“We couldn’t tell if the thing was out over Lake Ontario or just over the land,” she said adding, “We both commented on how big the item was – far larger than any plane we’d ever seen near Port Hope.”

Along the way, the couple stopped driving twice to get a better look and Carlyle thought “the lights looked yellow,” while Gray believed they were “yellowy-white.” After only a few minutes she wrote, “Suddenly it vanished – in a split second.”

Although she and her husband were not sure of its shape, the woman noted that if seen from a side view, “we would say it was cigar shaped.”

On April 9, 2014 at approximately 10 p.m., “bright sphere-shaped” objects that appeared to “be in pairs and blink various colors” were seen over Rosslyn, Ontario. According to a Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) report, the person reporting the sighting had seen these before. That evening, however, they were first thought to be stars until it was realized that planes in the area did not seem to be aware of them.

“The (six) objects appear in pairs; they appear to move with each other sometimes as if they are connected” or they stay “in a fixed relation to each other. Also one in each pair is usually brighter than the other.” The witness noted that the objects moved “from side to side several degrees” and “appeared to have risen in straight lines or zig zags, again moving several degrees,” adding that they generally appear “when the sun goes down and can no longer be seen when the sun is fully risen.”

It was also noted that the objects appear every night “in the same area of the sky” and make no sound.

“I first observed these objects in 2010 and have seen them countless times in Manitoba and Ontario. Light pollution decreases the ability to see them so it is best from a more rural area, however I have observed them in a city setting as well.” The witness suggested that others should look for stars that seem “out of place” and moving “in an unusual fashion. My hypothesis is that these objects are everywhere.”

Intense floating light

Another MUFON report involved a sighting on April 10, 2014 at approximately 9:30 p.m. over Oakville. The witness noted that a circular light with “various intensity” caught his eye and was seen moving slowly, “almost like floating.” The witness added that the light hovered at first, moved in a straight path and then abruptly changed direction. It followed a straight path again and then hovered for a few seconds before it floated away “in the same direction it was previously moving…

The observer said it was the “oddest and eeriest thing I’ve ever seen. I wouldn't be normally reading too much into this but it stopped and hovered, shot up like a rocket then stopped and hovered again... that's when I knew I was seeing some(thing) well outside of the norm. By the time I reached for my cell to take video I was only able to film about 30 seconds of it floating away.”

Orange light

On April 11 at about 11:15 p.m., a “sphere-shaped orange light with a white beam” was spotted in the night sky over Cobourg. According to a MUFON report, the witness to the sighting was walking to a store when he “looked up and (saw) an orange orb.” It looked like a white see-through light was coming from it. When he looked away and looked back, it was gone. It then reappeared “in a different spot in the sky. It was a solid light and orb-shaped. It was kind of cool to see such a thing.”

A man and his wife were returning home on April 13 at approximately 9:30 p.m. and were just approaching their house when they noticed “a green disk with a pulsing red light move through the sky erratically” over Thornhill, Ontario. According the a National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) report, the man noted that the object would change direction quickly, stop and then hover for a moment before moving on. It changed both direction and height he added, “before it disappear out of sight above the roof tops across the street.” The entire sighting lasted for about five minutes.

Moon object

Another NUFORC report involved a “strange flying object” above Cambridge on April 16 that changed shape and was “only visible through certain camera devices.” The female witness to the sighting, which occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. said, “I thought I saw something strange about/around the moon so I tried to take a picture of it. When I started to focus on it with my tablet, I saw this strange thing that was swirling, and flying around the moon. It flew down and touched the ground then went back up to the right side of the moon.”

The witness said she tried to take a photo with a smart phone but was unable to capture it.

“The thing changed shape and seemed to get larger and smaller multiple times throughout the whole event. I called my husband out and he couldn't see it until he looked through my tablet.”

Her husband managed to capture it with his phone, she said adding that at one point during the 15-minute sighting, “there was also a huge haze of orange/red around the object.”

London sighting

During a sighting that occurred on April 16 at about 11:51 p.m., what first appeared to be “two glowing red lights… turned out to be a square/rectangular object hovering very slowly east to west over London. According to a MUFON report, the witness noted that the object had four corners with one that had a “round green light, the opposite a red” light “on each side of its wingspan” and there were white lights on the front and back. It was also noted that the object “slowly hovered over me as I filmed it in the Superstore parking lot… It moved from one end of the lot at about 40 km her hour nearly silent except for a subtle static noise and took maybe 20-30 seconds to pass over me.”

The witness wrote that the object then slowed down before picking up speed and “with 20 seconds” passed over him again. The object, he noted, seemed to pass over a residential area past the river (and) then turned and came back into town.”

Oshawa green lights

According to another MUFON report, three green lights were seen “flying violently” in the sky on April 18 at about 10 p.m., hovering and then “slowly descending finally into a field” in downtown Oshawa. The witness to this sighting wrote that the sphere-shaped lights were seen from a 10th floor apartment window with “a sliding glass door.”

Facing west, the observer was texting and happened to look up, and saw “a green blob shooting up really fast in the sky.” He raced to the window and “saw it break into three close together blobs in a horizontal line formation.” The witness described them as “solid green blobs of light.”

The witness then went out on the balcony and saw people everywhere yelling, “It’s a UFO” and pointing towards them. The objects then “flew very high far, far above the trees into (the) night sky, then sideways in both directions. It was flitting around aimlessly, then it hovered and slowly began to descend into a field, and disappeared behind (the) tree line… and then it was gone.”

Afterward, the witness saw cars heading in that direction, as well as a helicopter overhead.

“If it was a prank, it was an amazingly well executed one,” the witness said adding that it was the “weirdest thing I have ever seen! I wish I knew what I saw.”

On April 18, 2014 at about 11 p.m., a Peterborough resident saw a “bright looking fireball silently gliding across the sky about 100 (feet) away from me, maybe 50-60 (feet) off the ground.” According to a Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) report, the witness described the fireball as a “dome-shaped sphere that traveled in a straight-line path,” adding, “It moved silently then poof! (It) looked like it burned up in flames and disappeared.”

This incident “really freaked me out…” the observer noted. “I was alone and sober, and it was bright like a whitish light, silent (and) there was no sound at all coming from it. I was close enough to it that I could see the details of it… It literally looked like a plastic bag air balloon, and that’s what I thought it was but it was breezy out and a bag would have been erratically floating through the air. This was on a steady 5 (km per hour) speed, straight line.”

The witness said he watched it fly over downtown Peterborough toward the west. “it then got really bright like it caught on fire, and it was gone.” If that weren’t strange enough, he said the same thing happened just two weeks earlier and flew right over him as he was walking through a park.

“This time I told a friend about it, cause I was really freaked out.”

Triangular craft

On April 19 at about midnight, a resident of Penetanguishene saw a “loud and low” triangular-shaped object with “three bright lights” on it. According to a MUFON report, the witness was “laying in bed and on a computer at about 12:30 a.m. when the sound of the object could be heard but not seen for at least another 20 minutes.

“This object was extremely loud and very low to the ground,” the witness wrote. “At first I thought it was a plane or helicopter so I told my step dad and he said that no military plane or helicopter uses green or orange lights like what I saw. The object appeared to be in the shape of a boomerang but after I watched it for a while, a big spotlight” came on. The witness noted that the other three lights were on each tip of the craft.

“During this time I didn't really know how to feel. I was kind of freaking out because I had no clue what it was and then I just thought it was really cool because I could possibly (be) looking at an extra-terrestrial aircraft!”

The witness went on to write that others on Facebook and Twitter had heard it too and were talking about it.

“People in the other town over about a 5-10 minute drive from my location were hearing/seeing what they thought was… a military plane but I don't think it was.”

Of course we all know the local Air Force doesn't detect such objects nor does NORAD:rolleyes: I am sure they would monitor these objects very carefully, and maybe even the source of some of them.

it is said there are 3,000 real ufo flights around earth every year , the rest are secret government experimental craft ...
