The right wing Junta in Ukraine has sent helicopter gunships to attack its own people in the East, with Reuters witnessing at least one of the helicopters opening fire, and with Kiev confirming that it had ‘obliterated’ barricades set up by the protesters. Such operations are not receiving any criticism in the Western media, and they have been publicly backed by the Obama regime in Washington.

I add the link to the report of the reuters witness since it is so rare to see such information, or any information which is contrary to the western faux-humanist narrative that dominates the media. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-05-03/ukraine-crisis-dozens-killed-in-fire-and-shooting/5428060

‘Reuters journalists in Slaviansk, the most heavily fortified bastion of pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, heard shooting and saw one helicopter opening fire before dawn.’

Any person with an ounce of intelligence will recognise the hypocrisy here. Remember all the threats made against the democratic Yanukovych government to dissuade him from using the army against the fascists in Kiev? It would have been a grave violation of human rights, they all said. Now they, the West, publicly back the use of soldiers, armoured personnel carriers, jets and attack helicopters against the citizenry in the east. Sadly the media has failed to point out this obvious contradiction [it’s like they know how stupid the average westerner is].

Further, today over 30 people were killed in a trade union hall. This story did make the western press, but it was notable by omission in these articles I read, what side the dead were on (guess which side would be more likely to be in a trade union hall..). Of course, the dead were from the anti-Kiev, anti-Junta side of this split country. And, after some searching, I found out that the building was attacked by the pro Kiev forces http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/02/ukraine-dead-odessa-building-fire [even in this article notice the difference in the terms ‘pro-Ukraine activist’ and ‘pro-Russian fighter’. Of course in the minds of the Western Media, these people deserved to die, just as those manning the barricades in Slavyansk deserved to die, so there will be no emotional ode to them in the western press, and there will be no calls for restraint, no calls for punishment of the offenders, no calls for the [illegitimate] government to step down.

By the way, the media is framing this as a pro-Russia push in very simplistic terms. Remember, these people have lived in Ukraine for decades without mounting any insurrection. Do you think it is a coincidence why they are mounting it now. Will the West even acknowledge why this movement exists? It exists because the people of the East have been disenfranchised of their democratic rights, been labelled second class citizens, had their own language attempted to be legislated against, and have been demonised to the point where half the world thinks it is alright to just go ahead and kill these people when only a few weeks ago the world was horrified by the deaths in Kiev. This isn’t about being pro-Russia – this is about not being given equal rights as legitimate citizens of Ukraine.

Can you imagine if the Harper government in Canada said to the Francophone regions that the people there were not real Canadians, that we were removing from Ottawa their political representation. If the Harper government tried to de-legitimise legally the French language, if they demonised the French speaking population in the eyes of the entire globe? Even this is not a dramatic enough analogy since at the very least Harper was democratically elected. Do you think if all of that happened the people of Quebec would not seek to change the power in Ottawa, and if that were impossible to separate from Ottawa? And would that not be reasonable?
