What could be flying at such a high speed?
The production crew didn't know they'd even filmed anything unusual until the footage had been reviewed.
Presenter and producer Graeme Stevenson had been filming the opening sequence for the seventh season of the "Colour In Your Life" TV series alongside director Sophia Stacey in Queenstown when, while reviewing the footage for editing purposes, he spotted two objects moving at high speed across the sky in one of the shots.
"In the past week, when editing of the episode was complete Graeme noticed something strange in a wide shot - two objects travelling from left to right of the screen at great speed," the team wrote in a press release. "When the images were slowed to a frame by frame sequence you could see the shapes emerge from the trees and move across the sky, eventually disappearing."
An analysis of the footage seemed to suggest that the objects were moving far too quickly to be birds or even jet planes, requiring them to have been flying at 4,000 miles per hour.

Dragonflies in the foreground.
They can reach speeds of >60 kph when chased by a motorcycle ;) Seriously -- dragonflies, escaping the motorcycle. That is all I see here; right next to a lake where on would expect such creatures. I was raised on a lake and lived with millions of them - you can be cruising on the lake in a fast boat and the dragonflies will just fly along with you as though you were standing still.
From wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonfly
Flight speed
Tillyard claimed to have recorded the Southern Giant Darner flying at nearly 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) in a rough field measurement. However, the greatest reliable flight speed records are for other types of insects. In general, large dragonflies like the hawkers have a maximum speed of 10–15 metres per second (22–34 mph) with average cruising speed of about 4.5 metres per second (10 mph)

Interesting, if they were taken with good tv camera's then they likely could have produced better quality close ups. Athough that would have been revented.

it could be 2 ufo's flying across the sky, it could be maybe 2 dragon fly's but i dont think dragon fly's would fly that long in formation lol but everyone is entitled to their opinion until the research comes to light that is......

By "that long" we are talking way less than 1 second of video that we can see in this clip -- is that too long? I don't think so. My 2 cents.
In my mind there is no doubt -- those are dragonflies being spooked by the motorcycle, or just seeing how fast they can fly - they love trying to match speed with other moving objects - I was raised on a lake and am extremely familiar with dragonflies and motorcycles.
Think about it. All the correct elements are there for these to be dragonflies and not UFOs.

Possibly hummingbirds ... but I still think dragonflies.

If you look closely you see the objects enter in FRONT of the trees
If these are 'flying saucers', they were necessarily 'taking off' from those trees we see on the left. They appear in front of the trees and do not come from the sky behind the trees. Therefore, the birds/insects explanation is rather attractive.

It doesn't look to me that they come from in front of the trees. Almost looks like theres only one object for a bit then suddenly there are two. Hard to tell thy're so fast.

Look at the slow-mo part near the end and pause frame by frame -- without a doubt, they come from in front of the trees. Look again in HD. If you still don't see it, I will clip the frame and post it in this thread.
I am thinking about the possibility that seeing "two" might be an effect of the camera capturing two frames due to a slower shutter speed than frame rate. It may only be one object.

Freeze Frame, give me a contrast and a zoom, and then we can talk about a "dragon fly." Ha...looks real to me, thanks. either in pursuit or formation that baby was moving.

There's at least six frames of the "ufo" flying in front of the trees at the start of the clip. This gives a reasonable indication of exactly where and about how large the objects are. About the size of a small bird or large insect. The object is obviously not "way off yonder".
Animated GIF below of the object flying in front of the motorcycle in front of the trees.

And the whiter parts here are in the exact right spot for wings if the object is flying in front of the motorcycle, considering the perspective of the camera. You can't tell "what" it is but it looks like a terrestrial flying creature.

Done BTW. Previous posts. It looks super fast because it's not that far away from the camera.

I'm getting to the point of confusion between secret government advances demonstrated in their ufo's and actual alien ufo's. The question of either's existence is naive in today's realities. Realizing with the US's stepped up propaganda campaign and my still yet undetermined distinctions between the two it's fascinating either way.

DeDukshun, there ain't no dragonflies around at the moment so bang goes that theory!! I live quite close to where this was filmed and we are nearly into winter! Not a dragonfly anywhere!

I left it open to be small birds in a previous post.
Possibly hummingbirds ...
In fact when I looked at the zoomed in footage in motion on my software I could see a bit of what appeared to be "fluttering" as though by bird wings as opposed to dragonflies (or more like a cicada type creature) so you may well be right. Regardless, its a small winged terrestrial creature as my lower quality gif (biggest I could make) and screen capture indicates. Not spaceships / flying saucer and not from behind the trees.

Is the animated gif I posted above not animating? It shows it very clearly coming from in front of the trees on the same path as the motorcycle, which was the original argument I was trying to settle.

Thanks for saving me the tedious work of rendering out an HD video and uploading it to Youtube -- that was going to be my next step, for all you naysayers, hehe ;) :P

I've come to appreciate many of the finer observation skills of members like Buares and Amzer Zo, I also have certain sets of skills (investigational / softwares / cameras / CGI, etc) and an eye for detail, that when I decided to apply, I found there really is a lot that can be explained.
That said, I am a UFO witness, and I fully believe in what I saw -- it was technology outside of anything known. I am a believer, but as long as easily explainable stuff such as this keeps passing off as "legit", all us believers are at a huge disadvantage, as highly educated skeptics can easily pass us off as fools that believe anything.
In my world, being a believer means I need to have the utmost scrutiny for anything I believe, if I want to be taken seriously. No offense to others but "believing first and asking questions later" doesn't help our cause.
Special thanks to Skywizard for relentlessly bringing interesting topics into the open.
