DR. JOHN MACK — A TRUE STORY…
ALIENS ARE REAL.
ALIENS ARE HERE.
ALIENS HAVE SOMETHING TO TEACH US.
That's not science fiction.
That's the TRUTH according to DR. JOHN MACK.
https://images.indiegogo.com/file_attachments/551259/files/20140501224834-title__ts_b_flourishes_1400.jpg?1399009714
When Harvard psychiatry professor, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, DR. JOHN MACK was asked to study people who claimed to be ABDUCTED BY ALIENS, he was reluctant. He was a DOCTOR, a man of SCIENCE.
But these people were DESPERATE for help and he became CURIOUS what the underlying psychiatric syndrome might be. Using everything in his psychiatric arsenal, Dr. Mack studied over 200 abductees. He found that people from ALL OVER THE WORLD - who had never met each other – were telling the exact same ABDUCTION stories.
John Mack's findings were SHOCKING to him and forced him to QUESTION his most deeply rooted beliefs. “These people are NOT LYING and are NOT CRAZY. I know mental illness and this is not mental illness,” he said.
He compiled his findings in his best-selling book, ABDUCTION.
When HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL got wind of it, they were MORTIFIED that their Head of Psychiatry was on national television saying that ALIENS WERE REAL. HEADLINES around the world MOCKED him. His friends and colleagues, even his wife, thought he had LOST HIS MIND.
Harvard formed a SECRET COMMITTEE to discredit Dr. Mack – to ruin his REPUTATION and take away his tenure – the first in the university’s history.
For over 14 months, John Mack ENDURED what amounted to a WITCH-HUNT against him.
But in spite of all this, Dr. Mack COURAGEOUSLY stayed true to his newfound beliefsand STOOD BY THE ABDUCTEES. By the end of his life, John Mack was regarded by some as a VISIONARY and a MODERN-DAY GALILEO, and by others as a FOOL who‘d made an error of historic proportions.
Ten days before John Mack died, he told a friend, “IF ANYONE ASKS, TELL THEM I'M NOT CRAZY.”

I'm DENISE DAVID WILLIAMS, president of MakeMagic Productions and the producer of the major motion picture, JOHN MACK.
I have been in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. After attending USC Graduate School in Film, my first job in Hollywood was working on E.T. and Raiders of the Lost Ark. At 20th Century Fox and other companies, I worked with some of the BEST WRITERS and DIRECTORS in Hollywood. I was Vice President of Kopelson Entertainment when we produced PLATOON – which won the ACADEMY AWARD for BEST PICTURE.
I am HONORED that the Mack family has ENTRUSTED me with the rights to spearhead the telling of John Mack's story and that we have the SUPPORT of so many of his FRIENDS around the world.
I know there is great VALUE in this feature film as ENTERTAINMENT, but I believe there's more to it. This film has the potential to spark a sincere dialogue around the world about the real possibility that we are not alone in the Universe.

This is funny this morning in work me and Ecnal 61 were having a bit of banter, and
we were talking about a few things from Bilderberg, how Prince Charles is related
to Vlad the impaler and several other related Alien/UFO topics. Then one of our
collegues said he had seen a Roswell documentary and it was just a silver foil
weather balloon.we can only speak briefly in the sorting office as it is to busy to
have a proper discussion on the subjects which I'm always pointing out,someone
will ask a question expecting a one sentence answer, which I usually give a 'One
liner' response to and say one thing leads to another and you need hours to discuss
anything near satisfactory.
Anyway Roswell , we had the 'Paul' jokes which I replied is a great fun movie and I
have seen it several times and when either me or Ecnal win the lottery we are
going to get a winnie bagoes and head off down the Alien Highway to the
black letterbox.

Briefly I told him that Major Jesse Marcell was the intelligence officer of the
only atomic airbase in the world and he knew what a weather ballon was etc and
told him he came out later in life and said it was a cover up and the material was
definitely not anything known at that time.

There are a couple of controversial bits since the documentary was made, the Ray
Santilli autopsy segment and Frank Kaufman are both controversial in there own
ways but over all the documentary is very good.

There are more indeph researchers which they would not appreciate straight off
Richard Dolan etc , but I gave them these examples that were on TV in the 1990's
and from sources they would understand, and helped persuade me there was
more to UFO's than just lights in the sky and scary stories.
I'm not sure why this thread reminded me of this, other than I hope the movie is
kept as down to earth as possible, no pun intended ..LOL

I am glad that this film is going to be made, and glad also that Denise Williams has decided to try to raise funds rather than let hollywood money men run amok with all its potential artistic integrity shredded in the pursuit of big bucks aimed at a mainstream audience. if made with care this film has huge potential,i wish it well.

interestingly enough Dr. Joseph Farrell seems to have recently changed his tune about the existence of UFOs, Aliens etc.- just listen to his recent ByteShow.com interviews and read his latest books; Dr. Farrell has always been a tenacious, meticulously researched rocky cliff in his opinions but when his cliff suddenly changes locations I just personally think we should take notice-

I put up a recent interview and he thinks it is probably NAZI
technology now combined with the industrial complex in the US.
He has been saying this for a few years and it could well be
right, but the case for ET's always being here and other races
interacting is just as compelling to me.

Hi Cider- I truly hope this finds you well-
with all due respect to you, but this is not what Farrell has recently been stating; he, in the past, has always stated most of the UFO technology (as we perceive it) has been due to an advanced earthly "breakaway civilization" technology (let's label it 'NAZI' for sake of convenience) but he's recently changed his tune in as far as the ever increasing UFO sightings on this planet cannot be attributed alone to human-financed (now enter the concept of money) craft-
if one has been following Farrell as adamantly as I do he just recently stated (like about a year ago) that all of these increasing UFO sightings, because of their increasingly numerical counts cannot be attributed to earthly technologies alone, despite all the missing "trillions"-
it's just such a long story; if you have not yet done so I can only recommend you research JP's work/books (only 20 of them...)-
if you're already familiar with him I apologize profusely to you for preaching to the choir...

And the very warmest welcome to Denise David Williams, the movie's producer and vision holder, who's just joined the forum under the username makemagic.
:)
I absolutely think that the John Mack story would be an awesome movie, and I hope Denise David Williams aka makemagic will be successful in raising the million deemed necessary for making the movie.
A million dollars is certainly not a big budget for a movie.
It's possible some folks in Hollywood upon hearing of the movie being made will contribute, especially if this subject resonates with them personally.
A million dollars is very realistic in terms of grass roots organizations providing capitol.
You should think about doing a show on John Mack with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.
I'm sure they would be okay with the idea.
Coast to Coast listeners are pretty familiar with John Mack, and there are some six million listeners.
Just a thought.

I don't know anything about MakeMagic Productions or Denise Williams or the movie industry for that matter, but a quick Internet search shows that "major" motion pictures cost in the hundreds of millions of dollars to make and distribute so I'm highly skeptical as to how raising $1 Million (initial phase or not) is going to guarantee the movie's integrity or that the movie will even be made--much less without any pressure from the studio, distribution people, or "others" who may want to make the movie more "entertaining" even if it means "bending" the truth a bit (or a lot).
I highly respected Dr. John Mack and really liked his book, Abduction, and I'd love to see a truthful movie made about his investigations into the abduction phenomenon, but all too many times I've been excited about (and have contributed to) other "grass-roots" projects only to be disappointed in the results. Perhaps this project will be different, I truly hope so, but I'd like to hear from Ms. Williams as to how she believes she can guarantee the film's integrity with or without funding from the public. The powers-that-be have thwarted so many well intentioned efforts--far bigger than making a movie--over the years so I just don't see how this project will be any different.

I know film making well enough to answer that to some degree....and I'm not skeptical at all.
Excellent films can be made for $1M.
Explaining that would make for a very long story.
One point is that if there is money on the table, other money can sometimes come in. Many times it does.
Recently, one major expense has been retired, and that is the cameras and the lenses, and the film stock. Those expenses have dropped to being one of the least expensive components on the given production.
Take a look at this.
http://store.sony.com/SNYNA_27/pimg/pSNYNA-FDRAX100~B_main_v500.png
Just released. $1700 street price. 4K resolution, which is -- insane. With Tessar coatings on the lens, which all the more serious Zeiss cinematography lenses use.
and:
http://images.blackmagicdesign.com/media/5279527/sensor.jpg
black magic 4k cine camera..with global shutter (which is important), for $3k list, lower on the street.
Believe me, when I tell you that excellent films can be made with this hardware.
Film just got democratized and the average dude with some self-taught techniques (now at almost zero cost to learn!), can now compete with the big studios, for peanuts. Literally.
Welcome to the age of democracy in cinema.
Now that the quality race is gone as a limiting factor, gone as a barrier..... CONTENT IS KING.
Some person with a bag of old high quality Zeiss glass or Pentax glass, from the 35mm (consumer still) film days (less than $5k of glass or thereabouts).. they can compete with the big guys, quality wise. Well enough that most folks would never notice. the cutting of the given corners that is required, most of it, most folks would never notice it affecting the quality of the production, if it is smartly done. I've got enough good glass right here that I could make images of such a quality that it would take your breath away.
I buy my glass at the junk store. People throw them out! (Zeiss, Pentax, Canon, Nikon, Minolta, and so on.)
Thus, the filming itself can be done for no more than $10k-$15k in camera, lenses, and 'film stock' (memory cards). many of the expenses of doing a big production can be handled in TIME, as that is the critical part for the big studios. If one does their own editing work, a bit slowly..then they can save huge coin, right there.
I could go on here, outlining how to cut corners and have little effect on the kind of production that is being considered here.
The example, is that if one where to go back and put in the effort to learn how to handle that little Sony camcorder as well as is possible...and make a film that everyone here has probably seen and has a majority of interior shots (inside buildings)....'Good Will Hunting' (Matt Damon and Robin Williams)..no one would ever notice. No one would ever say the camera was crap. Only the odd critic MIGHT make a note of it. The rest of the world would never notice. That is how good these brand new cameras are. The $3k Blackmagic 4K Cine camera is so good, that it can be compared to modern film work (as a dropped in replacement), and most would never notice.
To give you an idea, that $1700 4k Sony camcorder will very likely meet the quality of the film work in 'District 9' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM5bRlQLoag) (watch the clip in 1080p --spoiler alert!), which was filmed digitally, in 2009, with a 'RED' digital camera. The black magic $3k 4k resolution camera WILL meet/exceed that 2009 digital film quality. Things will be even better, by next year.
A great film for a million bucks? Possible? Hell, yes.
~~~~~~~~~~~
But that is not the point, here.
The important thing to understand about the major studios:
They are not afraid of controversy. They are interested in money. They are interested in profit.
The attempt here, is not for the costs, it's for the finances required to maintain control of the project. To do the prep work.
If the initial work is properly done, which is what the money is about, the other money will come in.
I forgot the main point. Hollywood is not Hollywood anymore. Hollywood is a sign on a hill, not anything more. That cultural memory of Hollywood, is false. Hollywood is dead.
A good , what... 20+ cities all over the world each have a fully developed and world class film district, and each are full of separate production companies and separate groups of skilled individuals.
Over the last 25 years or so, centralized control of the film business, in all areas, died the death of a thousand cuts. And it is now such a decentralized system, that one can walk through a thousand different doors to get to the actual production level.... and find a hundred different paths to get a film into distribution.
'Film' as we used to know it, is dead. Democratization of 'Film', as a business, is nearly complete.
Here's someone else's imagery captured with a lens I picked up the other day, for $15. Buying it on eBay is about...$200US. Possibly less. It is every bit as good as a Ziess/contax lens. One can easily do incredibly good 'film' work with these 'still capture' oriented lenses. One has to be careful with techniques, of course, but it is 110% doable. Look for images done with this lens. This image, the person who took it says "probably my best 135mm lens", Not quite right for interior shots, those require different lenses, but those lenses are coming from the same companies...and NOW..the Chinese are getting into the direct copying of all the old superior '35mm still' lens designs. For peanuts in prices. They will now proceed to move on to copying the cinematography lenses, due to the introduction of many many '4k+' resolution film/cine cameras. (AKA the BlackMagic and Sony units, and many others - prices dropping and quality going up, literally by the day)
I Love this! John Mack is the epitome in staying true to self and going where the evidence leads no matter what. A 'real' scientist. IM not so HO FWIW ( I only post here on Avalon when I really feel strongly about the topic these days)
Unfortunately must half, but respectfully disagree with DNA about C2C and 'our' George who is very much controlled by (big greedy corporation) Clear Channel.( who has only a fraction of the audience it used to) Go on C2C with George Knapp, not Noory (last on the list, so they come to you begging and not vice versa) purely to let folks know this about movie but know that you will be told ahead of show about what you are not allowed to say! By then you will have appeared on so many others that any censorship will be a farce. Red Ice Radio, Unexplained with Howard Hughes in London, even Kerry of PC. Paid and unpaid subscription based alike.
John B Wells and Caravan to Midnight-(sacked by C2C for telling the truth and being more popular with listeners than George- need I say more!) There are many others just as good.
Our own Bill Ryan interviewing in long form format by skype and put on YouTube is actually my first preference. I am not joking. I bet I'm not the only one that would love to see that?
And the very warmest welcome to Denise David Williams, the movie's producer and vision holder, who's just joined the forum under the username makemagic.
Thank you so very much for welcoming me, Bill and for your support of our film, JOHN MACK.
Not unlike John Mack when he began studying abductees, shepparding the telling of his story into a feature film was not something I went looking for. I was led to it and could not turn away because I knew immediately that I was being called to be of service. In combining my entertainment industry experience with my deep passion in the areas of consciousness, spiritual evolution and the nature of reality, I could be a true champion and protector in bringing John Mack's story to the screen.
I understand that some people may feel cynicism about Hollywood, or the idea of raising money outside of Hollywood or maybe think that this film is impossible to execute. But what I know for sure is that when something will not stop tugging at you, deep in your heart, for years on end - when the inner guidance on how to move forward is clear as a bell, and everything you need to move forward comes to you in amazing ways, if you are wise, you listen and you follow it.
The JOHN MACK film is manifesting now for a reason - a profound reason.
Every step of the way on this journey so far, although it may not have been easy, has been perfect, on time and inspired. I know that there is a grand benevolent plan guiding it. Thankfully, it is not up to my little ego to make it happen. The hand of the Universe is all over it. Believe me, if you could feel what I feel in my heart, you would understand.
I thank everyone here for your faith in the process and for your positive thoughts.
I know John Mack would be humbled, proud and grateful that we have picked up his torch and are carrying it forward.
With sincerest thanks,
Denise David Williams
Here is a clarification on our process for the JOHN MACK film: the JOHN MACK Movie campaign came about after I had many meetings within Hollywood, a place where I have worked for many years. Hollywood does still exist, it is an iconic place that is built on relationships and creativity. True, it has spread all over the globe and that is a good thing.
The reason we decided to launch the campaign is that I found that although pretty much everyone I met with LOVED the project, they also wanted me to completely turn it over to them; to relinquish all creative control. This is not at all an unusual request in Hollywood, and I understand it being in the business for so long. But, obviously, in this situation, that was never going to be an option.
Having been entrusted with the Life Rights, I take my responsibility very seriously and it is my job to oversee the development so that the story is not sensational or exploitive in any way. I'm not saying it would have necessarily been done that way, but I would have had no say in the matter.
Therefore, we decided to launch a campaign to cover DEVELOPMENT costs - not the entire budget of the film. Development costs cover the hiring of a writer, the developing of the script, attaching a director, a star and exercising the rights agreement. Having done all of those things, we are then in a very strong position to go back to the studios and make a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE with their help. This is not an unusual path. Money to make films comes from all kinds of sources these days. DALLAS BUYERS CLUB was funded by a gentleman in Texas and others and then was released by a major studio.
I hope this is helpful in clarifying the process and driving home the fact that we really need the support of everyone to get down the road.
Thanks!
DeniseThank you Denise for the clarification. I sincerely hope you can get this film made without interference and with truth and integrity for the man and his great work and contributions regarding UFO abductions. The world needs more pioneers with integrity like Dr. John Mack (i.e., people who care more about getting to, and sharing, the truth than making money, protecting a career, or maintaining the status quo).
Good luck and welcome to Avalon.
Great to see this thread.
I just heard Kerry's interview with Denise:
oRij7TDiKcM
The talked about how the project might become a "no-brainer", if they could get the right actor onboard.
+ Kerry mentioned Kevin Spacey, who still lives in London, I think (a decent choice)
+ Denise mentioned John Hamm, from Mad Men (who I don't know well either, since I don't watch American TV)
I had to wonder why neither mentioned .... one or both of the two guys, whom I think are very obvious: Matt Damon and/or Ben Affleck.
I think that Damon would be more likely, since he seems to be less deeply into the Hollywood and Cabal machine than maybe Affleck is.
Why these guys?
The obvious reason to think of these two is: they are both Harvard grads, who may identify with John Mack's battle with the Harvard bureaucracy. This film will bring out the rebellious hero in them, as Young Will Hunting did. (These guys can also WRITE!)
Denise should also try getting an interview with Harvard Magazine, which could lead to some interesting contacts for here.
