DEPT OF AGRICULTURE ORDERS SUBMACHINE GUNS WITH 30 ROUND MAGAZINES

A May 7th solicitation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks "the commercial acquisition of submachine guns [in] .40 Cal. S&W."

According to the solicitation, the Dept. of Agriculture wants the guns to have an "ambidextrous safety, semiautomatic or 2 round [bursts] trigger group, Tritium night sights front and rear, rails for attachment of flashlight (front under fore group) and scope (top rear), stock collapsible or folding," and a "30 rd. capacity" magazine.

They also want the submachine guns to have a "sling," be "lightweight," and have an "oversized trigger guard for gloved operation."

The solicitation directs "all responsible and/or interested sources...[to] submit their company name, point of contact, and telephone." Companies that submit information in a "timely" fashion "shall be considered by the agency for contact to determine weapon suitability."

Why???? This seems absurd and like a giant red flag warning sign to me. Obama's administration has been buying up ammo left and right, but it is usually DHS doing it. Why would the Dept. of AGRICULTURE need all this? It seems like the net is tightening, and we are getting closer still to what's to come. I don't like the sound of this one.

The USDA is under the auspices of Homeland Security ( along with FBI and others) More than likely, the RFP as done through Agriculture, but the guns will probably be used by the other agencies. Someone probably forgot to plug enough money into their budget and the Dept. of Ag. probably has surplus on an indistinguishable line item. Not saying that its ok. They're intended for use against someone/something....but probably not farmers.

It's those dangerous raw milk farmers! Come on, your average SWAT team is no match for a 65 year old milk vendor, with two or three teenaged kids helping around the farm. They could squirt some raw milk in the eyes of the authorities or hit them with a butter churn.

Worse are the GMO protesters! My God, those people are actually out in numbers screaming the truth about genetically engineering foods. A few bursts of automatic weapons will make them see the light of the profit Gods.

I have worked in one of the Dept. of Ag. bldgs in D.C. They have full time armed security, equipt with full tactical gear 24/7. I have wondered why. Seemed like a waste of $$$ to me. it's a damned office bldg. Even the gaurds that work there don't know why, I asked. The Forest Service is part of the Department of Agriculture.

The Forest Service has its own law enforcement branch, and its officers often encounter dangerous criminals when dealing with crimes that other agencies have little interest in, and usually no jurisdiction over. And because of the conditions under which they work, they seldom have immediate backup or cover available during their activities. Drug operations, for example, are often encountered on Forest Service lands.

The most recent incident in which a USFS LE officer was murdered by a criminal that I know of was about two months ago. And if it makes the incident more important for some people, his service dog (K9) was also killed at the same time. In Europe, a number of fields of GMO crops were burned. So, my first thought is Monsatan ordering the government to protect GMO fields.

Hundred billion dollar industry of petro chemical farming and GMO products are now being "boycotted/rejected" by those they consider nothing more than lab test subjects/world people.

They don't like to lose, and watch out activist, lots of petitions have been signed against GMO and petro chem/oil. It won't be the first time an "energy monopolized octopus" spazzed out. In fact the last 30 years or so, they've lost whatever human qualities they had, replaced by gold, money or power over governments. When a government rejects their tentacle, to suck the resources of coal, gold, diamonds, silver, tungsten, platinum, iron ore, and other religious relics of high value, the nations become corporate American and UK elites cannon fodder. WE refuse to eat their junk, then they can't make money.
