We have one fairly near where I live; I have always had an uncomfortable feeling about them. I was recently watching a documentary regarding some property brought which was once a spiritualist church, unfortunately for them, during a séances they inadvertently let out something that caused havoc amongst the staff and attacked a few of them.

The owner did find something buried in the wall, a picture, some paper regarding the church and a few other items which he removed. Eventually the situation was seriously affecting his business, so he managed to find the right help or more truthfully they found them. When he returned the items he discovered back to its original place the activity stopped. Whatever the séance had caused to come through caused a portal of some kind and the items were so how there to close it.

I personally have had a lot of strange things happen during my life, and so has my family so I do not dismiss things like this without a dam good reason. People may refer to these events are paranormal, but what is normal to one isn’t to another, so hey it was there is happened and you just go to get one with your life.

At the age of 7 my great grandmother died. A day or so after the funeral when I went to bed someone was moving my right foot and when I looked up it was her and she had a misty white glow about her.I just covered my head....I didn't mention it to my sibblings for years......

Spiritualist Churches have been around since the early 1800's. Some are very harmless, some are not. The "potency" of the readings/ seances hinge on the members and their particular orientation. Let your gut feelings guide you. Most of them dissolved as the membership aged and passed on.
