After reading seeker/reader's thread "The Grail and the Emeral Tablets of Thoth..." (which was a great thread IMO), the statement Donelly writes about "stones that move as having life" got me to thinking about the moving stones of Death Valley.
California's remote Death Valley has held a mystery of stones that seem to move (or have life) on their own. It happens at Racetrack Playa, a dry lakebed known for its "sailing stones." This effect occurs at a few other places as well, though Death Valley is the most famous spot.
Not all of the stones in Death Valley move. Those that do don't move at the same time or in the same direction. In fact, some make abrupt 90-degree turns, judging from the tracks, which range from tens of feet to hundreds of feet long.
The rocks' apparent movement has been blamed on everything from space aliens and magnetic fields to pranksters. But no one has actually seen the rocks move, which only adds to the mystery.
Scientists have tried to solve the puzzle of the sailing stones for decades. Some researchers thought that dust devils might move the rocks, some of which weigh as much as 700 lbs.
The most craziest explaination I've read so for is the one from Ralph Lorenz, a NASA scientist. His team calculated that under certain winter conditions in Death Valley, enough water and ice could form to float the rocks across the muddy bottom of Racetrack Playa in a light breeze, leaving a trail in the mud as the rocks moved.
Water, Ice, Death Valley!!... Yeah RIGHT! Maybe water might freeze in Hell too :twitch::bolt:
We are just living in the mystery of Mother Earth and trying to understand.

This place is really cool. Some have sat out there for days and not seen any movement, and the minute they leave, there is movement. They set up cameras... same thing. No movement. Take away the cameras and there is movement. chuckle chuckle.

Is there a link?
This is mostly just me from what I've read. Just Google it you should find it very interesting.

Like protons going through a hole in a wall, w/camera on it. They have a scientific term for it, but I can't recall the exact name, but it's on video. Some sort of proton test.
Okay back OT, the rocks are aware. That would be the conclusion those same scientist, who conducted the experiment would say. You see, they found that the protons were going in one direction they would normally go once through the hole, and when two holes were placed in the wall they'd create a certain pattern hitting the back wall. When the camera was directed on the protons and what they do, they changed patterns on the back wall where they hit. It was if, the protons didn't want to have a "eye witnesss account of what direction they form.
Interesting topic in comparison. I believe the rocks are aware of the watchers and "move not."
What type of function, would man put upon the rocks? Mining them, side show, for profit?
I think they'd rather slide off in the sunset, than be part of man's freak show enslavement.
From chickens to cows, to sheep to horses, man has used them all.

I believe it is called "the observer effect" on the double slit experiment. The consciousness of the observer causes an effect on the experiment that would otherwise not happen.
The photons behave as a wave when not observed. When observed they behave as particles.
Maybe (human) consciousness is what is needed to change energy into mass, i.e. the photons changes it's behavior from acting like a wave (energy) to a particle (mass).
No god particle needed, just consciousness (which is ultimately God).
I have long concluded, based on information about the Havu Musuvs of 60 thousand years ago who had a civilization around death valley, flying saucers, etc., that they inhabit a large Base under Death Valley in which there are VIBRATIONS and ANTI-GRAVITY ENERGIES occasioned by their underground equipment. It is also very reasonable to assume that they have spying and listening devices disguised as natural objects such as ROCKS. When the vibrations happen, the rocks MOVE!
You may add this location of Alien Occupation to those 144 bases all over the world and in the Caribbean from which ALIENS are running the world and physically controlling our "Leaders?" who are controlling us to destroy us and take away our planet. Amor

Actually, you're wording it wrongly. ;-)
Photons behave as a wave when observed in a manner consistent with measuring/observing waves, and they behave as particles when observed in a manner consistent with the measuring/observing of particles. Or otherwise put: their behaviour is always consistent with the method we use for observing it. It's called the wave-particle duality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wave%E2%80%93particle_duality).
It would however be wrong to assume that photons - or other particles, because it has also already been tested with electrons and even with entire atoms and molecules - are actually changing their behavior in relation to the method of observation. The scientific consensus is that such small quanta of energy and matter exist in a quantum super-state (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_superposition), with a wave function which appears to collapse when we observe them.
Maybe (human) consciousness is what is needed to change energy into mass, i.e. the photons changes it's behavior from acting like a wave (energy) to a particle (mass).
No god particle needed, just consciousness (which is ultimately God).
Yes, the scientific consensus in quantum physics is that observation in and of itself - and thus consciousness - influences the outcome of the experiment because everything would be in a quantum super-state until the moment when it is observed, which is then considered the collapse of the wave function (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wave_function_collapse).
There is however also a problem with the Copenhagen definition of this collapse and of the wave function itself when it comes to the macroscopic world, which is what Erwin Schrödinger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erwin_Schr%C3%B6dinger) tried to illustrate with his famous thought experiment with the cat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dinger%27s_cat).
http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/happyhybrid/26441561/1262/1262_320.jpg
And this, of course, begs the question as to whether the wave function actually does collapse when we make the observation, or whether this collapse (and therefore our observation) is only an illusion. Or perhaps otherwise put: how real is reality? ;-)

The stone people are alive; they have their own consciousness, different from ours but there.
