View Full Version : ... where science and spirituality meet.

"Right behind you, I see the millions"
Getting science and spirituality to meet is a very worth while venture.
Unfortunately, when science is discussed amongst a very large group of people who have not been educated in the sciences, nor work in and with any of the applied sciences, it ends up being where spirituality meets spirituality, and nothing more.
I'm sorry.
But this is true.
All too often today, as yesterday, any discussions on science tend to be pie in the sky futuristic "how this breakthrough is going to revolutionize how we light buildings" or a plethora of exactly these type of "stories" and never, ever, is discussed the very real and ongoing applied sciences of this very day: today!
You'll never get there if you can not find any truth in science. I can say a **** ton of things right now about our actual applied sciences as they are used today, and people WILL poo poo caa caa all over it.
Not kidding, it happens regularly, and it is because there are way too few people in the actual applied sciences, and way to many who believe, only because of what they have read about something, and not because they actually had hands on experience with it, and again I'm sorry to say that if one has had zero hands on experience with something, they truly should refrain from speaking on it.
And, as all of our physical problems are technical in nature, this is only getting worse, and not better. The fossil industrial complex, for example, over the last 20 years, has puked up tens of thousands of bogus scientific documents through all of their industry funded think tanks, and the only place any who are not in the sciences are today is massively confused.
Being smart isn't enough, unless you are so smart that your connection to the universal consciousness is a very strong and fluid one where it is not possible to lie to you, you will only become more lost in time against this system of mass dis-information, and even then, even if you are very smart and empathic, but have not spent the time studying the sciences, then you will only know that you are being lied to, and not the how's and why's of it.
Thoughts?

hahaha ... I said sh(i)t ton, which is an expression from where I live, out in the country with the farmers. sh(i)t is wet, and usually much heavier than what it looks like.

My preference is natural science vs applied science, though my entire career has been within applied science.
Peace!

Applied science is a toaster, and why it works. It is a refrigerator, and why it works.

Currently (pun intended), they both work by being connected to the electricity mains, to which a meter is also connected. This is applied science, but hardly smart, when other scientists are saying you can do it for free.
Conventional science is closed circuit. Spiritual science is open. Advocate, ie provide proof of concept of, free energy, and you will be 'toasted'. Meaning two very different things now and some time in the future.

Of course. They work because I plug them in. How naive of me.

... however, I made the choice to open source myself, and I'm going to stick with it.
Nature pushed me here. It told me of all the things, over all the years of my life, I would need, and yes, gathering electricity is childsplay.

Did you know that a refrigerator works in exactly the same way as the sky? Along lines of un-equal pressure. High pressure and low pressure systems. Condensation and evaporation are exactly why it rains, and beer can be kept cold.

Electro-magnetic zero point in between the magnet energy, is the best.

I'm not sure if I totally understand you're opening post. Are you looking for examples of people in science who made that merging of spiritual. With Real examples? or thoughts on how to better inform people? or opinions whether science and religion are merging because I think it is. Yes.
I am in applied science as well as research and development. In my opinion religion and science are merging more (a better mix) than science and politics or science and business.

There is no religion in my spirituality, there is just the naturally occurring energy stream that we are all in, in my spirituality. (far more potent) And I guess what I'm asking for is one of those wuthering heights answers. I know the truth in science to be extremely beautiful, and what could be were it set free, it's just that, well, it's buried under a really really big pile of **** right now, and more is on the way, so perhaps metaphorically I'm asking if there's any out here with a pitch fork ... and a strong back who can help me shovel this **** away and maybe keep it away?
I can not tell you in enough languages how important truth in the sciences is.
It's Everything.

Science, at least to me is knowledge in the form of testable and repeatable explanation(results). So real science is about facts and not speculation. I believe in your original post you are mixing up science with predictions by scientist. These are two entirely different things.
In my opinion we have had the corruption of science within the global warming community. I will never again trust science as I once did. Knowing now that the scientific and the academic community can be so easily swayed by money. Global warming is about prediction not about science.
That said it is also my belief that science does serve a useful purpose but can only take mankind so far. After a certain period of time science will slow down the process of truly understanding the universe. This is very hard for many people to understand and impossible for others but at some point mankind must move beyond science by believing in self. In other words by taking a leap of faith (not necessarily religious) of our purpose in this universe. Then and only then will all things fit into place.

I think I understand now. You are talking about spirituality and the choices we make. At the beginning of the 1980s I had my moments of a choice between the life of one or prototyping an idea and having a publication. I choose to save the life of one. That choice led to saving lives of many. Even if I don't get credit for it.
Another is later in my life where I was working for the state and we found a patient who had a cancer DNA rearrangement we had never seen before but checking through the databases we found another match in the usa like us, so we (and my computer genius podmate) had one doctor get a hold of the other doctor so that they could be better informed. The last thing you want to do with a bone marrow transplant to find out it has been tried before and it was a dismal failure or that it was a wonderful success either way. I was reprimanded and told it was not in my job description and not to do this again. Sometimes you do the right thing and apologize for it later. I could not stomach it I quit my job. I let the s*** get dumped on me and forgot about the shovel. Probably a good thing I wouldn't have used this Shovel properly, I would have used it in a whole different manner.
Thoughts of ethics right or wrong or fame or money don't always occur to some people. They do the right thing. I have seen others we are not alone we are many. How weird to think it was but minutes of my time, it cost far more far more of my time to deal with the crap.

Hi Earthlink like your OP.
Many people who are unwise link the word 'Science' in a totally un-spiritual way, as if they don't both live and exist here and now in this realm, that kind of Science is the pushed money making PTW science. A broad minded wise of age but not age wise of years souls both mix and blend Science and spirituality in the most natural and beautiful ways!
Love, Peace and many Hug's

There was no school of scientists involved in my education, it has all been hands on, and I would advise you to avoid any literature that deploys the word scientist. This is why you are lost.
