View Full Version : Anyone speak Punjabi ? Need a favor :)
Hey I was wondering if someone on here could do me a favor and tell me what these lyrics are saying in a song I like. The song is Rogue Bagel by Ott. Here it is:

The lyrics are at 1:56 to 2:37
It might not even be arabic. If it's not please tell me! I love the singing in this song, especially his "hmmph" in the middle. lol
This song also says something like
"turkey emoonanaki evvilll in him' Kind of sounds like Anunnaki and evil....
Anyway I would love to know what the boy in the song is saying. :)

I can say "I pray your house will fall down" in Egyptian.
I can tell someone to "go and pimp" and various other swearwords in Morrocan.
Hope that helps.

The lyrics are in Punjabi. North India, Although the artist lives in England. No translation available on the net as yet.
about the band Ott. http://www.reverbnation.com/ottsonic
Ott is a record producer and artist from England known for his special brand of psychedelic dub tracks.
In recent years, he's been touring the world and releasing albums on Twisted Records. His first major contribution to Twisted was the record Hallucinogen - In Dub, on which he remixed six classic Hallucinogen songs. In May 2003 he released his own album, Blumenkraft, on Twisted. His work has also been featured in releases from the record label Liquid Sound Design (now known as Liquid Sound, run by Martin Glover), especially those compilations produced by Humphrey Bacchus during his time at the label. He followed up his debut album with a second solo effort, Skylon, in 2008 on Twisted Records.

Such an awesome song. Skip to like 55 sec in if you want to get past the intro that's not really music.
Also Billy, would you mind changing the thread title to "Punjabi" instead of "arabic" please? I would appreciate it. :)

I don't speak Punjabi but can understand many words..
some words can be wrong below,,
jiyo sohneya ji, hor kisida hoke jiyo , katida unda si
hasache ...... hava tenu, lake chunni aai
hasada ekhada dekha tenu, rendi duniya sari
sadake oma? hava? tenu, na oke chunni aai
hasada ekhada dekha tenu, rangche chunni vari.
Unable to understand what female voice says,,
Something like
Jee mora laga, jee mora .. ..
Try to translate it word by word only..
jiyo sohneya ji (=live dear you/thee), hor kisida hoke jiyo (=else someone become live), katida unda si (= ?where are you?)
hasache ...... hava tenu (= by smiling ... __ yours), lake chunni aai (=brought CHUNNI came)
hasada ekhada dekha tenu (= smiling once stared you), rendi duniya sari (= forgot world whole)
sadake oma? hava? tenu (=wearing makeup __ you), na oke chunni aai (= __ __ CHUNNI Ucame)
hasada ekhada dekha tenu (=smiling once stared you), rangche chunni vari (=colours of CHUNNI __)
