Yes, friends, British Airways, under the guise of “collecting data about your well-being in flight” wants to monitor and record your brainwaves. Called “happiness blankets”, they’re experimenting with these:

The ostensible purpose is to gather data to improve the quality of your inflight sleep by testing temperatures, cabin pressure, meal times, entertainment etc.

No mention, of course, of offering more comfortable, less cramped seating with a recline sufficient to allow repose. Nah.

Just hand over your brain waves, ma’am. We’ll deal with you from there.
