Whales and other marine mammals can call great distances and with the use of an underwater speaker the signal can transmit out.

I've always thought a sub-marinal base would be awesome to have. Just like a hollowed out crystal cave would be awesome to set up shop in(if you could control tektonic(sp?) action..

I do not doubt there are things like this on earth... But it's not something I have knowledge about. Would love to hear more about it if others have good information.
