Unexpected OBE process

I usually have to work really hard for an OBE , there is always a hitch ... I prepare , every detail , with a peaceful focus ... Last night it I wasn't even thinking about it , and around four in the morning , I got that buzzing sound in my ear , then in both ears that never happens , then a huge shaking all over my body along with the buzzing , like an earthquake force field all around me about 12 inches thick , pulsing and growing and very active ... I've never felt that before , it was overwhelming , I was in the place between asleep and awake , I knew my body was asleep but my mind was very awake ... it scared the crap out of me , I finally put my hands together over my head in prayer style , and something happened , I have no memory after that ... I'm asking for help from anyone , what is my next step to get out of my physical body ??? I did it once before but , I had to really work hard at it , last night this was totally different ... it came on it's own , caught me totally off guard ... the field around me was so strong everything was vibrating very fast ... please , uncle GR needs some input ... anyone ???

You get a buzzing, and I get a sort of oceanic wave crashing sound and wind blowing;time stands still?Yet aware of everything, yet away deeper within.

It's very natural for the body to do this ghostrider.
The buzzing and vibrations in your ears will reach critical mass, only if you allow it.
If critical mass is allowed to happen then your spirit/soul will lift out of your body and go to the astral plane.
I know nothing of the astral plane, as when I have reached it I go into deep sleep so memory is gone.
I do know that the vibrations and buzzing in the head and ears are the start of this happening.
Most people shake themselves out of this state as it's fear of the unknown.
It's a good feeling when you are awake in your mind and your body is in deep relaxation and the buzzing starts.
If it's allowed to happen and you are not afraid you can actually feel your soul/spirit leave your body.

The vibrations and buzzing are the first parts of obe and the part I love to feel. The problem you are having is that you became to aware and focused on the vibrations which caused your body to tense up and you lost the experience. Next time this happens do not fear and relax into it, I have done this thousands of times and nothing has ever happened to me there. Your age is 49 did you have these experiences in earlier times or are they something you wish to do and have been practicing at. My experiences all have come natural, sure I have a method but I can exit with out it also the method just implies to my higher self that I want to go out tonight.

Thank you soooo much ... you are exactly right , when I focus on the vibrations/buzzing it scares the bejesus out of me , and it hinders the whole thing , the vibrations are so strong I feel like my body is going to come apart and my heart rate races like I've been jogging five miles ... just keeping my mind awake and knowing that sleep paralysis has begun is no small feat ...the buzzing used to sound like a hummingbird up close in my ear , now it is rumbling stronger than ever , tonight I'm going all in , I just hope I remember all that happens , cause it's off to the dark side of the moon for me ... I never can get very far from earth , there is always interference ... I've never had an OBE just sneak up on me out of nowhere , I usually have to meditate and prepare mentally ...

yes the vibrations scared me and it hindered the experience , it came on it's own ... I did nothing to induce it ... nothing ... In answer to your question , I wanted to prove or disprove the whole OBE thing , so I followed a simple pattern that was suggested , tell yourself at bedtime , when my body goes to sleep my mind will stay awake , over and over kinda mind control yourself like a song stuck in your head , breath deeply but normal , palms down , no heavy covers , complete darkness , complete silence and when I did that the first time , the buzzing in my ears started , sounds just like a hummingbird ... ever since then , little pieces have come to me through many avenues , each time I get a little farther , I even found something ancient on my first time , it was guarding the sun from prying eyes , there is so much out there , you gotta be ready for it , it can be overwhelming ... it will change you , when you KNOW you are creation in a material body ...a small part of the vast universe held together by cells fed with blood in flesh with sensors and memory banks , that records everything seen and heard on automatic pilot while the carnal mind bounces all over the place ...

I see one main thing to learn from this PO is that what ever you experience, never let FEAR take charge, be in charge of FEAR and it will have no hold over you or your other wise good experiences!

Fear has taken away many good experiences from me and or stopped me from getting more from said experiences :(

GhostRider... You are describing what I, and others have been trying to describe. Yes, there is a natural energetic process that 'peaks' and provides a platform for projection. EBS, or energy body sensations, is what I have always called them. Usually a precursor to OBE.. :) I like to bask in this feeling too. Of course, it took me many years before i got over the initial fear of the energetic sensations. Do yourself a favor, and don't spend years in fear... :)

Something about what Powessy said, stood out to me. You have to try and RELAX INTO the sensations. (Spot on, Powessy...) I practice energy work. It is mainly a gentle stirring or stimulating effect. NOT the intense effect of the natural process. I can sometimes muster energy releases that 'mimic' the natural intensity of energy, but not usually. Mostly, it is a spontaneous event that seems to have a mind of its own!!! :) (seems to,,, lol)

Congratulations, my friend. Now, pick your exit method and release... Again, it is a natural process that is rather difficult to explain... But you've experienced it now,,, so you know the 'exit signs'... I am friggin excited for you. This is a real phenomenon... And you are an amazing soul.

Astral Rope Technique: Robert Bruce

Astral Rope

A key ingredient to the new projection techniques is an invisible, imaginary ROPE hanging from your ceiling. This ROPE will be used to exert dynamic pressure at a single point on your astral body to force its separation from the physical.

The ROPE technique is similar, but more direct and hence more effective than other more passive and indirect methods, such as reaching out and pulling vibrations into you, or visualizing yourself in front of yourself. The idea of pulling vibrations into you is vaguely illogical, if you understand the mechanics of projection.


The vibrations are an effect and NOT a cause of projection. When enough pressure is exerted on the astral body to loosen it sufficiently, the energy body expands and energy flows through the chakra system to be stored in the energy body. This flow of energy through the hundreds of chakras and their connecting web, or meridians, CAUSES these vibrations. This normally happens, unnoticed, during sleep.

ROPE is a very effective projection technique, but it still has to be learned to be effective. I would like to elaborate on a few points about the technique, inspired by the feedback I have received so far.


There is NO visualization required - AT ALL - in the ROPE technique. It is ALL tactile imaging. This means you do NOT have to picture yourself doing it.* That is, to climb ROPE, the correct mental action is to REHEARSE the climbing action in your mind. This mental rehearsal is the ROPE technique.

You need to mentally grit your teeth and strain with the action, i.e., you have to put maximum mental effort into it, as if you were really climbing a ROPE, but without allowing your muscles to take part in it - this is ALL mental. Your body must not be allowed to respond. You also need to feel you are very strong, full of energy and could climb like this all night.

You will find that a certain way of holding the focus of your mind, while you climb, will exert more pressure on your astral body than another. It is VERY important you note what this is and learn how to apply it. This will tune your climbing action for the maximum effect. When you hit on the right mental focus for the action, you will feel a corresponding dizzy/falling sensation in your Solar Plexus.

To use ROPE successfully, it is extremely important to make a firm decision to DO IT. This commitment is VERY important to success. A DO OR DIE effort is needed. This focuses all your mental energy into a single point, for a single purpose - to exit your body.

Many people have emailed me with ROPE success stories. In every case - they have been practising ROPE when they suddenly decided to give it a go - TO REALLY DO IT! This commitment to succeed means the difference between actually getting out - OOBE - and experiencing various levels of ROPE induced relaxation, trance, paralysis, chakra activity etc. I cannot stress enough the importance of this commitment to the success of ROPE induced OOBE.

While using ROPE, completely IGNORE ALL PHYSICAL SENSATION AND ANY NOISES YOU HEAR. If you react to a sensation, in any way, you will lose the focus of your mental energy and dilute your effort considerably.

Were all those other times just Lucid Dreaming? Or what? I remember well your story, that you mention, about your "trip" to the Sun, and how you were warned away by Spycic guards. (no it isn't misspelled. That is my term for "psychic spies". cc) I related my own story to you at that time, of my own trip, "around" the Sun, to get a look at that "huge" starship parked back there, and recieved 3 warnings to leave. Well 2 anyway. cc. At first warning I continued. At second warning they used my "name', and I continued, and the third time was an "open armed" welcome to come "aboard". I went home on "that" one. cc. I worked at the first ones , this one was completely different , too strong , too intense , I couldn't handle it ... my fear killed the process ...

I get it , Relax and embrace the sensations with no fear , hard to do for all my life the beginings of the vibrations scared me , raised my heart beat and the next day religious people told me it was the devil , so I really feared it , and became the most insane bible reading , word spreading Christian out there ... so I put up a wall concerning anything that happens to me when I sleep , I sold it to myself as I'm so strong the devil can't attack while I'm awake he must catch me while I sleep , It has taken 30 years for me to get past that ... as I said earlier , I followed Brian Weiss , and some others , about meditation , focus , and kind of spiritual insight I could get , then learned about OBE , had a wonderful experience , didn't really know how to travel but seen some things that no one would believe ... My automatic OBE attempt a couple of nights ago , pulled the rug from under my spiritual feet , I suppose the higher self knows what we need and when we need it , even if the carnal mind is tracking completely somewhere else ... you know how on star trek those on the transporter pads look ??? that's exactly how it FELT , all over my body , shaking my bones , my being , right down to my Cells ... the field generated by an earth human is 10 times stronger than a force field around a ship , there's is artificial , a humans is natural , multi-waves a living energy , thick pulsing , interchanging , each re-enforcing the other , 10 different fields stacked on each other , each moving a different direction , inside the field you feel like your being is going to explode if it gets any higher ... looking back , me putting my hands together in prayer fashion , was my fear and old habits creeping in , like praying would protect me from vibrations ... silly ... I'm still programmed from the matrix of earth human deceptions ... working on changing that ... I view the world so different these days ... I used to be silent , the quiet one , now I can't shut up , most times to my own disadvantage ... it's so true , the problem with the world is the person in the mirror , change them , change the world ... change your thinking/perceptions , change reality ... new task - to merge the conscious mind with the un-conscious mind - allow spirit control the material body ... ha , behold I stand at the door and knock ... one body , one spirit , lo the kingdom of god is WITHIN YOU , if say to the mountain be removed and be cast into the sea , it shall be done ... thoughts affect the material world , the prophets have been trying to teach us for 389,000 years , ears to hear , eyes to see , but I didn't see or hear ... the spiritual teaching has a whole new meaning to me now ... the bible , the words of Muhammad , Budda , they all were trying to get us to live and experience OBE to gain real knowledge , from the only eternal kingdom that lives inside each of us ... we make a material choice , we have faith , we stand , we believe , and behold it comes to pass ... thinking can affect our material world ... the secret to our advancement , not in the future but , NOW , right now ... living in this energy body as it was designed , earth humans have been on vacation from our spiritual selves , stuck in the material and look what it has done to our earth ... the veil is removed , we see as it is ... we can change it ... if we believe we have power , and a choice , and a dream ... I have never had any OBE's, at least not any that I remember. A couple of years ago when I was really interested in OBE I tried to focus my eyes to a certain point above my head in my roof, in a dark room. I only got to the point where I started to get the intense vibration feelings and they scared me a lot. I never got past that point even though I tried. I haven't tried to astral travel much since after that, but maybe I should. I haven't had much interest for that. However, I feel that there is a block there, but maybe it's just my mind.

BRAVO!!!!!!! This is EPIC awesome news!!!! It is like a quickening... And you ride a great wave of consciousness. The power that you are speaking with right now humbles, and inspires me... Our advice about Fear, is just that... Advice. Much easier said than done... :) You have the reigns, and you are in charge... Amazing the insights (and blockages removed) that can come from a single POWERFUL energetic experience. It shows that you have had an amazing mind all along. I am so friggin excited for you,,, i can barely contain myself.... It is a game changer,,, no?? No more cliches for you... now you can wrap yer brain around a great many things that may have seemed trivial before...
