They say that once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic.
Seems also, once a "messiah," always a messiah.
And just like alcoholism, one can enter into recovery, though recovery is also a lifelong process.
Well, I have been to thousands of AA and NA meetings but I rarely go anymore.
At the local AA/NA meeting last week, when I introduced myself this came out.
"Hi, my name is Sam and I am a recovering messiah."
I have never received such an uproarious laughter ever in any AA/NA meeting where I uttered something - a sign TRUTH has been spoken.
And I thought there was only supposed to be one messiah? I was in a room filled with (recovering) messiahs! hahaha
